DO NOT USE THE CASE IN THE VIDEO. Wooting reached out to me and apparently the unused standoffs cause issues with the Wooting PCB.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm not sure why, but mine hasn't had any issues. My best guess is I didn't screw the pcb down all the way though it appeared so when I did it.
That case Bricked my 60HE after 2 weeks of use. Just ordered a new 60HE. The unused standoffs rubbed against one of the IC chips on the board and I assume caused a short. Expensive mistake! If you use that case grind off all unused standoffs. Better to use a case that has no interference with the PCB to begin with.

It's a skyloong aluminum case. Don't use it

Recommend burger mounts to reduce the steel plate impact in an aluminum case. We're working on something that'll help in the near future 😼

I actually enjoyed the stock sound more. razer is creeping up on wooting with their latest release. Once they get or make they're own switches, their newest keyboard easily beats the wooting in every aspect. But i digress they don't have the secret sauce,. which separates wooting from the rest
That's fair, tbh the sound isn't much different but the main draw of the mods was the feeling of aluminum and the more appealing aesthetic. I'm really glad to see Razer making great steps. Competition pushes better products and prices for us consumers 🙃
@@SimulatorTech for sure, competition is always good. I want to get an aluminum case too, I might go for that new 'budget' tofu case, if wooting doesn't release their case soon. That's also one thing wooting will probably always have over 'big brands ' although limited for now the possibility to customize your keyboard how you want. Great edits btw

@@SimulatorTech I said perception. Anyways, I didn't meant to say you were wrong or anything, I just don't agree with the automatic assumption that plastic is cheap. the hhkb is expensive and it's plastic.
My apologies if I initially came off as angry or accusatory. The fact still stands that I felt the plastic case felt cheap. I'm in no way saying plastic always means cheap, but in this case I think the plastic case does feel cheap. The hhkb is a great example of a plastic keyboard that (while i haven't tried it) probably doesn't feel cheap.

That doesn't count as wooting anymore, since you're using a different case for the modded one. Of course that would sound better.
The point is to keep the pcb and plate assembly to retain the gaming features of the wooting and change the case to make it sound better
