Patrick Jane should be 3rd. He's one of the best detective or a consultant if you will. He sticks to his funny attitude and he has brilliant reasoning skills. Rare gem on tv these days
Raura The term Eidetic does not extend to the realm in which the so-called "inaccuracies" of the term photographic memory fall. Therefore, one can conclude that he does have a photographic memory, especially upon his effortless use of the method of loci when organizing his thoughts. Also, the list was not ranked on intelligence, but instead the most popular of those who are intelligent. The ones who deserve not to be compared are Reid, House, White, Cooper, and Sherlock.
Dr Reid finished high school at 12, has 3 PHD's, 2/3 Bachelors, and is an integral part of an exclusive FBI Unit. 9th?!?!?! Really. He outshines Sheldon Cooper by a mile.
@@taslimahmed6223 actually Spencer is in every episode of Criminal Minds and the show is featured on the team so it does kinda revolve around him a little

I know its not a popular opinion, and "Sherlock" is better as a standalone series than "Elementary", but I love the edginess and lack of predictability to Miller, not to mention his unique portrayal of Sherlock as a man still ravaged by his drug addiction. As much as I love Benedict, its Miller for me.
Everyone can be a "geniuses" in their own way, which is why Dexter should be on here. He is a geniuses at just about everything to do with the criminal underworld.
There are problems I have with this list. The fist is how do you qualify genius? Is this based on academic accomplishments like degrees, SAT scores and IQ's? This is usually a sign of bad writing "he's smart because we tell you he is". What reason do they have for including Sheldon while leaving off other geniuses from comedy shows like the Professor, Screech and Urkel who were able to create things like rocket fuel, a robot with advanced AI and a time machine. This leaves out some TV detectives who have demonstrated exceptional observational and deductive skills like: Colombo, The Doctor, Jessica Fletcher, Robert Gordon, Perry Mason, Monk, Nancy Drew? I haven't seen elementary myself (deviated a bit too far from the source material for my taste), so I can't state my opinion about that, but you cannot deny Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock is brilliantly done, with a lot of critical and fan praise.
Robert Herrera i think Elementary is better than Sherlock. Elementary has more interesting cases in the episodes and more likeable characters. Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock is a bigger asshole than Sheldon cooper, thats why I cant stand to watch the show
Jonathan Derryl Yeah.. the 'wiki'. I'm simply talking about what I saw in the show itself. Whoever wrote the wiki could think differently. The wiki indeed..
+Naindru In 'The Empty Hearse', it is stated that Mycroft always wins a deduction game with Sherlock and in the same episode he managed to understand and solve a murder, which took Sherlock himself some time to solve, just by looking at the report... Doesn't that show that he has superior observation and deduction skills??
Jonathan Derryl Sherlock's observations are clouded by feelings sometimes, and his ignorance for a whole lot of things. In the empty hearse itself when Mycroft was talking about the case he literally ignored that just to know about John. He barely recognised the galaxy in the painting because he simply hadn't any knowledge about it. And well, countless more he could have noticed and observed if he was as cool headed as Mycroft with a sense of priority. So really, it's no surprise he'd lose against him. That always was his downfall. Mycroft is more knowledgable than sherlock about human emotions and the world in general. More knowledgable ≠ More intelligent.
Walter White and Michael Scofield are the type of dudes, if your with them you know you’re safe no matter what, you just know he’s always got something up their sleeve and that they’re a step ahead of everybody else
Have you watched Agents of Shield! It was ok but it got good at about episode 10 and at episode 16 it got AMAZING because of the Captain America: The winter solider Hydra theme! Season 2 will be a lot better because they don't need to wait until the movies come out!
TinyBoss To be fair, you can't say the show isn't deserving, because if it fits in a category, it doesn't matter if you liked the show or not. If people thought Fitz and Simmons could make the list, what does it matter if the show is good or horrible? By the way, I liked the show well enough.
The Big Bang Theory is one of my favorite shows. I wouldn't mind hanging out with them but they would just make me feel stupid through out the whole time lol.
How is Big Bang Theory funny? I honestly don't get the humor. I understand that the character's are smart and make intellectual geeky jokes, I get what they're saying, but what they're saying is not inherently funny to me. They aren't jokes. To each their own, but holy crap that show sucks. I'll stick with The IT Crowd.
FightClub1537 I respect your thoughts on the show. I mean i'm not going to disagree with you. not every one is going to like the show. All i can say is Don't watch the show..
+Jennifer Pruitt Personally, Reid is always in my top 3, but since it was only 9 months on a daytime soap, I can see why he wasn't there. I wish Temperance (Bones) had been in the list, but glad she made an honorable mention.
I think Francis Underwood from HOuse of Cards should be on this list. Although his not directly called a genius, his strategic planning is of the quality of a genius, as well as his actions. A social genius, perhaps.
He is a political genius, but I feel like the genius' in this list were genius in more than one field. And ones not prone to bouts of fury (like Francis Underwood usually is)
vverewolfchick While your first point is understandable, all the geniuses on this list probably have more character flaws than Francis (Other than the obvious sociopathy).
hannibal should have been an honorable mention hannibal oversmarted will and jack for 2 seasons and other than that : He is hannibal the f*****g cannibal lecter he is a genius in every term of the word.
same here, even though i hate watchmojo... they make nearly everything so that they get the most views and stuff... even when some stuff is... incredibly stupid
Yeah man what the hell He made the internet. He made the social media. He made so much money for the people. Saved america from 840+ terrorist attacks and countless innocent people. He made god , and defeated another. Just for fun he fuckin blew up the internet ! Sherlock will piss his pants if someone asks him to do that 😂
thomas fiumara you are supposed to watch video first then go to comment section, not the other way around. If you did that backwards - you got what you deserved.
My Top (in random order) 1. Sherlock (Sherlock) 2. L (Deathnote) 3. Hannibal (Hannibal) 4. Gregory House (House) 5. Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) 6. Michael Scofield (Prison Break) 7. Dexter (Dexter) 8. Doctor Who 9. Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty) Honourable mention: Elliot (Mr. Robot) *Not multiple of the same series (eg. Mycroft, Light) **Have not seen a lot of Sci-fi or police drama’s)
Also did anyone else notice that Shawn kind of jumped from being a super duper genius to just barely being able to solve a crime in the span of like 3 episodes?
That awkward moment when a character is so genius that appears twice, Dr. House is an inspiration of the Doctor Arthur Connan Doyle got his inspiration to write Sherlock Holmes.
Why the hell would you put Sheldon in front of Scofield Scofield is a genius who risked his life, while Sheldon just seats at home acts witty in a condescending way towards others.
umm he doesn't sit on his ass remember he doesn't like change in routine but he can if forced to . also he invented a few things though most people forget that tidbit. (glow in the dark fish i still want them to give out as christmas gift :-p) also he went on expedition to the north poles to study his theory .
They are both different though, one is a strategist and the other a theoretical physicist. If you want an elaborated plan made, you have Michael, but if you want a laser to be built, there's Sheldon (too bad the government took it away before he could actually use it)
Sherlock is ofcourse number 1. And rightfully so. If someone doubts that, they should check out the scene in the first episode of the first season where Sherlock explains to Watson how he knows what he knows about Watson. Also I love the absolute fact that Will Graham gets an honorable mention here. Hannibal is one of THE most underestimated shows out there.
not just the most underestimated show, but quite possibly the best. There's no denying it has the best cinematography...and if anyone picked the ending of season 2 they'd have to be an oracle. The acting is flawless and the music is just brilliant. It's the best show on TV
I think it should be #1 Walter Bishop, #2 House and #3 Sherlock...House can do everything sherlock do and more. he knows about human body whereas Sherlock doesnt.
Sanket Garg House as a character is inspired by and based on Sherlock Holmes, that has even been confirmed by the creator of Hose. Therefore i really think it is Sherlock how deserves the top spot. His knowledge area is in my opinion wider and he is more original, however, i agree that both of them are really great characters!
Frida Petersson you are right, Sherlock is an inspiration for the character of House, but if you compare the knowledge, House would win because of his knowledge on human physiology. He is at least as smart as Sherlock in reading people and deducing information but what Sherlock doesn't know is medicine, he has two m.d. s.
Yep, all white men. No women or other races. Could have at least included Jodie Foster in Contact, or Rob Brown in finding Forrseter. But i guess the top 10 milfs list should "compensate".
Robert Stan Right, and only white middle age dudes have played geniuses in movies, right? I gave two very good examples, you can include also Elizabeth Shue from the Saint. But we all know the stereotypes, the black guy is there just to get killed first, and the woman is there just for some T&A.
actually, there is some evidence that men may have a flatter bell curve of intelligence than women - not a higher AVERAGE, but tending more to extremes - so the super genius is more likely a male, but so is the drooling idiot. more Sheldon Coopers, and more Homer Simpsons......
I think the main reason walter white is on this list was becaus like you said he isn't street smart and he's just a school teacher but the fact he became a meth cooked not for the money but for his family because of the risk of death from cancer made him a little more unique.
There's a lot of people who should've been on this list but they made the list so general by saying human geniuses that there was no room for a lot of people myself and others wanted to see in my opinion they should've broken this down into different parts for the subject such as top ten smartest detectives or something like that and just cover other types of geniuses so we don't end up with this.
he's very resourceful, clever, and good at most things he does, but I don't think he's ever been established as a "genius", and I was unable to find a reliable source listing his IQ (if it was ever mentioned on the show, it's canon and should be found with a simple Google search)
Dexter was a smart person but not a genius. The show tried to make him look like a genius by making everyone around him a complete moron. Almost every time he got out of a jam it was because of dumb luck or dumbass police.
Patrick Jane should've made the top 10

Sherlock at 1

Majority of the characters on this list werent even in the video!
WHAT ABOUT "L" OR LIGHT FROM DEATH NOTE?!
Where is the Doctor (Doctor Who) :-(
Andrej Koritnik Humans only if you watched the beggining
Malcolm from MitM should have at least been an honorable mention.
I only watched this video just to make sure sherlock was #1 :P
Rin me too😁😁😁
Naw, house should’ve been #1
Eurus (sherlock's sister) should be no1
Rin same! Love sherlock!
ONLY HUMANS!? AWE MAN I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THE DOCTOR UP HERE! XD
They said "only humans" because they were afraid everyone else would pale in comparison to the Doctor XDD
OMFGSmexyPretzel the doctor is half human so he should be on this list
OMFGSmexyPretzel indeed
you have Walter Bishop from Fringe on this list! You just made me sooooo happy! thank you!
What about "The Pretender" ?
Where is Jarod ??? >
Sherlock is spot on with #1, but I would have liked you used the Elementary version.
I agree
I haven't seen elementary myself (deviated a bit too far from the source material for my taste), so I can't state my opinion about that, but you cannot deny Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock is brilliantly done, with a lot of critical and fan praise.
I like that one way better.
And I think elementary has some nice females characters
Robert Herrera i think Elementary is better than Sherlock. Elementary has more interesting cases in the episodes and more likeable characters.
Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock is a bigger asshole than Sheldon cooper, thats why I cant stand to watch the show
1. It's Dr spencer Reid
2. No Charlie from Numb3rs
R u kidding me??
said the one who does not know how to frame a photo
I thought Mycroft is smarter than Sherlock???
Mycroft is more emotionally stable than Sherlock, I didn't see anything that suggests he's mentally more capable.
+Naindru In the wiki it is stated that he has better deduction and observation skills... He's just lazier than Sherlock...
More knowledgable ≠ More intelligent.
what about Walter O`brian from scorpian ?
No harold finch?
Rypulitz Pulitzer EXACTLY
Holy crap he should be up there on top 3
Walter White and Michael Scofield are the type of dudes, if your with them you know you’re safe no matter what, you just know he’s always got something up their sleeve and that they’re a step ahead of everybody else
please be sherlock please be sherlock please be sherlock
omgitsnatash B HELL YEAH HE'S NUMBER ONEEEE
THEM: "Only humans apply to this list."
*Shows picture of the Doctor*
ME: NUUUUUUUUU
Where are Fitz and Simmons from Marvel: Agents of SHIELD?
The show doesn't deserve. Arrow and Flash>Agents of shield
Have you watched Agents of Shield!
It was ok but it got good at about episode 10 and at episode 16 it got AMAZING because of the Captain America: The winter solider Hydra theme!
Season 2 will be a lot better because they don't need to wait until the movies come out!
TinyBoss You can't say Flash yet since they've only made the pilot and could change from that even before it starts.
MarioGaming1231 I agree it wasnt all terrible but arrow is definitely on another level
TinyBoss To be fair, you can't say the show isn't deserving, because if it fits in a category, it doesn't matter if you liked the show or not. If people thought Fitz and Simmons could make the list, what does it matter if the show is good or horrible?
By the way, I liked the show well enough.
I clicked on the video hoping Sherlock and Michael Scofield will be there. I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH!!!
The Big Bang Theory is one of my favorite shows. I wouldn't mind hanging out with them but they would just make me feel stupid through out the whole time lol.
but then again theirs always Miss Hottie Kaley Cuoco i can relate to,
Kaley Cucco has two last names now she got married
fire7Dragon778 yea dude she did. good for her husband
Reid should have been top 3 EASY!
Agreed!!!👍😁
+Jennifer Pruitt Personally, Reid is always in my top 3, but since it was only 9 months on a daytime soap, I can see why he wasn't there.
I wish Temperance (Bones) had been in the list, but glad she made an honorable mention.
Jimmy Fucking Neutron!?
***** umm, jimmy is a human, it might be a cartoon but he is a human being.
He's a Alian pal
Aiden Curley
An Alien*
***** You're an idiot...
Jimmy Neutron may be a genius but he's an idiot.
* Extremely offended Criminal Minds fandom has joined the chat *
Finally they put Michael Scofield on one of these.
Malcolm? You know, the kid from that hilarious show? No? Ok.
Monk...Adrian Monk! How can you not have him on your list?!
Don't worry, Reid. You're still #1 in my heart.
The Big Bang Theory is so overrated.
Perhaps because people like it. Not being one myself.
spy teamfortresstwo Like The Walking Dead.
Patrick Jane should be listed as well as Charlie Epps!!
Makes sense.
I was so waiting for Charlie to come up on the list, and then he didn't even make it into the honorable mention portion...
True. Thanks for agreeing. I just am partial too because I hate the character Francis Underwood because I love the actor Kevin Spacey so much.
I thought that was a netflix exclusive?
It is.
hannibal should have been an honorable mention hannibal oversmarted will and jack for 2 seasons and other than that :
He is hannibal the f*****g cannibal lecter he is a genius in every term of the word.
he was
Daniela Urie he wasn't an honorable mention .
Hannibal will be the smartest in the top 10 movie geniuses
What is "oversmarted" ?? its outsmarted... you wouldn't be hard to outsmart.
Jared Duggan *outsmated
Sherlock and Mycroft ar Number 1 :D
Anbu Kakashi/Hokage Kakashi yes weakest hokage.
*Sees Sheldon as the Thumbnail* *click* yay.
same here, even though i hate watchmojo...
they make nearly everything so that they get the most views and stuff...
even when some stuff is... incredibly stupid
i didn't even look at the title I just saw Sheldon
even thought i know he i a vilain but Hannibal was the true genius... and what about the beloved Dedective Monk?
No Harold Finch , for real?
finch should be top 5 and patrick jane from the mentalist
Yeah man what the hell
He made the internet. He made the social media. He made so much money for the people. Saved america from 840+ terrorist attacks and countless innocent people. He made god , and defeated another.
Just for fun he fuckin blew up the internet !
Sherlock will piss his pants if someone asks him to do that 😂
I knew Sherlock would win. How could he not? :D
Way to spoil the ending.
thomas fiumara if your read the comments before watching the vid it is kind of your fault truth be told
Don't look at the comments then?
I didn't realise people read these before watching. it would obviously spoil the ending. Sorry if i did. :'(
thomas fiumara you are supposed to watch video first then go to comment section, not the other way around. If you did that backwards - you got what you deserved.
Michael scofield deservs n1, if you watch the hole series you will realise it
I love Dr House
I am a "bored" certified diagnostician...
My Top (in random order)
1. Sherlock (Sherlock)
2. L (Deathnote)
3. Hannibal (Hannibal)
4. Gregory House (House)
5. Patrick Jane (The Mentalist)
6. Michael Scofield (Prison Break)
7. Dexter (Dexter)
8. Doctor Who
9. Rick Sanchez (Rick and Morty)
Honourable mention: Elliot (Mr. Robot)
*Not multiple of the same series (eg. Mycroft, Light)
**Have not seen a lot of Sci-fi or police drama’s)
Without finishing the vid yet, I'm guessing Monk, Shawn Spencer, The Doctor, Malcolm.
Kat Willis Unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be at number 1. ;D
Malcolm like from Malcolm in the middle? I loved that show
Also did anyone else notice that Shawn kind of jumped from being a super duper genius to just barely being able to solve a crime in the span of like 3 episodes?
The Doctor isn't human. I HATE this "only humans!" rule. It's retarded.
Thomas Quennell um... is it a bit weird that I never saw that series?... awkward now...
what about TJ from the show Smart Guy?
That awkward moment when a character is so genius that appears twice, Dr. House is an inspiration of the Doctor Arthur Connan Doyle got his inspiration to write Sherlock Holmes.
***** Sherlock was first wasn't he?
Yes
Yes house even got his Moriarty too.
Ale Ornelas house had 3 versions of Moriarty
The guy who shot him, Vogler and Tritter
Sherlock and Reid are my acc faves 😭💕
Niamh Steel Dr.Spencer Reid is my favorite
Why the hell would you put Sheldon in front of Scofield
Scofield is a genius who risked his life, while Sheldon just seats at home acts witty in a condescending way towards others.
Shhh
bazinga!
Obviously you can never be a genius.
umm he doesn't sit on his ass remember he doesn't like change in routine but he can if forced to . also he invented a few things though most people forget that tidbit. (glow in the dark fish i still want them to give out as christmas gift :-p) also he went on expedition to the north poles to study his theory .
They are both different though, one is a strategist and the other a theoretical physicist. If you want an elaborated plan made, you have Michael, but if you want a laser to be built, there's Sheldon (too bad the government took it away before he could actually use it)
what about adrian monk from monk
Abhyuday Sen YESSS
Abhyuday Sen hes practically a variation of sherlock holmes.
I agreed monk is not even mentioned here disappointment
Monk wasn't a genius, his incredible obsessive attention for detail was what allowed him to solve homicides so easily.
What about malcolm from malcolm in the middle
Patrick Jane's schemes and ways of solving a crime are BRILLIANT. He should be at least at the top 5.
I think Hannibal should have also gotten an honorable mention, but I understand why they picked just one from the show.
I think it should be #1 Walter Bishop, #2 House and #3 Sherlock...House can do everything sherlock do and more. he knows about human body whereas Sherlock doesnt.
Sanket Garg
House as a character is inspired by and based on Sherlock Holmes, that has even been confirmed by the creator of Hose.
He is at least as smart as Sherlock in reading people and deducing information but what Sherlock doesn't know is medicine, he has two m.d. s.
Micheal Scofild will always be my favourite. His character was just epic
agreed
Look... No woman
Side lined to honorable mentions. Ah diversity.
Yep, all white men. No women or other races. Could have at least included Jodie Foster in Contact, or Rob Brown in finding Forrseter. But i guess the top 10 milfs list should "compensate".
Nikolay Ivanov Could have at least included some brains, especially for you. Since those are movies, genius.
Robert Stan
Right, and only white middle age dudes have played geniuses in movies, right? I gave two very good examples, you can include also Elizabeth Shue from the Saint. But we all know the stereotypes, the black guy is there just to get killed first, and the woman is there just for some T&A.
actually, there is some evidence that men may have a flatter bell curve of intelligence than women - not a higher AVERAGE, but tending more to extremes - so the super genius is more likely a male, but so is the drooling idiot. more Sheldon Coopers, and more Homer Simpsons......
Temperance should be on the list.
Bones❤️❤️❤️
Walter White isn't a genius..Clever? Yes but genius, no...And where the hell is Monk ?
I pretty much disagree because he is not very street smart at all but a total genius
I think the main reason walter white is on this list was becaus like you said he isn't street smart and he's just a school teacher but the fact he became a meth cooked not for the money but for his family because of the risk of death from cancer made him a little more unique.
I think monk's OCD makes him a little dumb at times... but he should still be in this list.
You should watch Breaking Bad again, he won a nobel prize, you don't win that for being an idiot.
What about Dexter Morgan from Dexter?
he's very resourceful, clever, and good at most things he does, but I don't think he's ever been established as a "genius", and I was unable to find a reliable source listing his IQ (if it was ever mentioned on the show, it's canon and should be found with a simple Google search)
Arturo Proximo yeah that is true he's witty but not necessarily a genius.
Dexter was a smart person but not a genius. The show tried to make him look like a genius by making everyone around him a complete moron. Almost every time he got out of a jam it was because of dumb luck or dumbass police.
Top Ten Non-Human TV Genius
Well there is only a couple so, I don't think that would be good list.
Pretty much sums it up.. Top "TEN" Non-Human TV Genuis... Doctor trumps them all
***** Who would be the top Doctor? I'd say number 3
+justin van garden I think 11 or 10
Ya but I don't know why you ask for the doctor is going to be first and if he's not he wil be every number
dr.ried should be no.1 with sheldon no.2
THE BADASS SHIKHANSH have u not watched Sherlock?
Mari Slawson sherlock is not human he don't have feelings (till abdominal bride)
THE BADASS SHIKHANSH lol yes he dose. He is just very good at hiding them. Have u not seen the new season? There is a reason that he is the way he is
Are you stupid? Sherlock is cleverer than both of them pout together
Missed Charlie Epps from Numbers.
Kaylen Amela
Nooooo! Fuck this show!
Spencer Reid is my favorite! Correction: Not a photographic memory, it's an eidetic memory.
No Luther? Really?
He is at least as much of a genius as Sherlock Holmes.
Wished it at least would've been included in Honorable Mentions.
Love that show
You should redo this because you could put the three Sherlock siblings as the top three
1 Euros* ( I don’t know the spelling)
2 microft
3 Sherlock
