Henry from The Book of Henry. While the film does portray Henry as smart. But the film, feel likes Henry is way too smart for his own good. Making the child protagonist this smart, takes away the humanity and feelings he once had. Now he's thinks he's better everyone else around him. This trope needs to be toned down or else, gone entirely. To these characters feel human and relatable.

Yeah same. I don't think in my humble opinion that Gray or even Zach was annoying. Maybe a little bit too stereotypical in some aspects, for the most part they just seem like regular kids and kids with a good brave heart. I actually pretty much liked almost all the scenes they were in. Jurassic park usually does a great job with its adults as well as their child actors. I can't imagine a Jurassic park movie without kids somehow involved.

I am glad these events were never heard from again. It was definitely the right thing. Forget these incidents, and future generations don't even want to acknowledge it.
I got to appreciate how Veruca was a different level of annoying in the 2 Chocolate Factory movies. In the 1971 film, she was always aggressive and demanding, while in the 2005 version, she acts more subtle and elegant, sounding soft when she wants something, and only raises her voice when refused.

Huge applause to The Babadook's kid. There r just so many nuances to the character that i cant believe such a young kid could pull of. Which in turn places me in the mother's headspace, so I get it... But getting it didn't mean I didn't hate it. Regardless, props to the kid. Whenever I think about Dennis, I can't help but think that if he's such a "menace" to Mr. Wilson then he should just put a restraining order on the kid.

This is eerie… I just watched The Babadook last night… it was so hard to get through… not because it’s bad, not at all… it’s because all you can focus on is how much you want to put a plastic grocery bag over that little boy’s head… not until he’s dead, that’d be crazy… just until he takes a nice long nappy… over and over and over….
Jaden Smith deserves to be WAAAAAY higher on this list. When the entire crux of the story centers on your character being the single reason that Klaatu finds as the reason to not destroy the entire planet, that character BETTER make the audience see the same thing. Instead, Smith’s character makes us all see things from Klaatu’s original idea that the Earth is doomed and heading towards destruction. If Smith’s character was the only hope the world had for being saved, we’d all have to admit the Earth was screwed. Also, this list not having Bob from House by the Cemetery shows that you all haven’t seen how truly obnoxious and repugnant a child character can be, dubbed or undubbed.
The V.O. script for this video feels like a throwback to some old school WatchMojo writing. That was back when they allowed themselves to be a little more sardonic in their humor and a little less careful with their digs at celebrities than they are now. And of course, they'd usually sprinkle in some playfully mean-spirited roasting of the entries for negative lists....ah, I miss those days! 😉
In the Poseidon adventure from 1972 there was the annoying little brother of the Pamela Sue Martin character the moment he broke out with "Shove it. Shove it shove it"
Dennis was actually pretty adorable- he had good intentions and he did his best to be helpful. I think he’s a sweetheart. ETA: Kids can be perceived to be annoying but that’s not the case. They’re little and they’re learning. Be patient. ❤️
I thought for sure the newspaper delivery boy yelling for his "2 dollars" throughout Better Off Dead would be on this list. Then again, I think he was purposely intended to be comically annoying.
The disappointed part about the 2012 is that besides those annoying twins was in the end of all the places you could’ve put the north and south Pole they put the north pole in the US. I would’ve loved to seen it in the Mexico and the north South American continent going forward on being the edges of the north pole on why you would’ve had all the changes there or just having it in the middle of the ocean midway or Hawaiian islands
I actually loved the kid from Star Wars. He was charming and a really good actor. The race scene was unbearable because it was stupid, pointless and way too long, but it wasn't his fault. People whose strength doesn't lie on their brains blamed him instead of the director.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but he isn't a well known character yet, so it makes sense why he isn't, but there should've definitely been an honorable/dishonorable list and they would've been on it.
Half of these kids were indeed annoyin, but few were evil (ex. Isaac Chroner), and 2 needed a another good punch like Draco and her 1st slap like Veruca. But some were just being regular kids their age.
The Babadook kid was the worst. How about the girl from Jurassic Park? She could hack the Park's security software, but she couldn't figure out how to turn off a flashlight that she turned on ten seconds earlier.
@@xBloodxFangxagreed! I have autism too & I knew another autistic guy a few years who I just couldn’t stand cos he was annoying, too in your face & just brought stuff up that hurt me. Not someone I’d wanna be around
One of the reasons I REALLY can’t stand the first Home Alone. Other than Peter McCallister, the McCallister Family would’ve been better off disappearing for real.
So I agree with all of your choices, especially Anakin, the kid from Last Action Hero & Dennis the Menace. All were cringe-worthy. But what about Ellie Creed from Pet Sematary (1989) I couldn't stand her. Her whiny scream is nothing if not intolerable and she uses it several times throughout the film. In fact, I often find that I have to mute the screen nearly every time she opens her mouth. Thank God she was omitted from the third act, which made the film much more watchable and enjoyable. At the very least, Ellie should have earned a dishonorable mention. Just saying.
Seriously? Alex O’ Connell? I know being a know it all can be annoying but not this much. No matter how many times I watch The Mummy Returns, he doesn’t do anything to be annoying
Honestly I would've put Dudley Dursley on this list instead of Draco because he was a physical bully, always beating Harry up, as well as a loud mouth brat whereas Draco just ran his mouth most of the time and had Crabbe and Goyle as his muscle to guard him (I know in the 5th book he and Harry did get into a brawl). Draco was always one of my favorite characters, he never annoyed me as much as Dudley except when he called Hermione a mudblood. I still cringe during the first film when Dudley throws a fit over only getting 36 birthday presents and his parents are nervous wrecks trying to please him. Something tells me if Draco tried the same Lucius wouldn't cower like Vernon and Petunia. Draco was brought up under strict circumstances, to be the perfect Pureblood heir and son. Spoiled as he was it didn't come without consequences. He essentially was spoon-fed every thought he ever had as a child, never free to make up his own mind. At least not until he got older and saw what was really going on. He was never babied, he had to put on an act and present himself as the elite of the Wizarding World. Yes, Lucius came to his rescue a lot and bought his way onto the Quidditch team but he was hardly the type of parent to coddle him and give in to his demands. Dudley on the other hand? His parents didn't seem to have any expectations of him and just let him run wild, coddling him constantly. Actually I always kinda wanted to see an interaction between Dudley and Draco, I wonder what their perceptions of each other would be. At least both of them have redemption moments. Just my opinion. Sorry this is so long btw! Love the video!
Alex from the mummy returns is brilliant. Don't actually have a problem with him. Can you really call Isaac Chroner a kid, despite the fact that the actor who played him was 24 when he got the part. Also Isaac is the best god dame thing about children of the corn. 😂
The younger daughter in World War Z. That kid screamed for the entire first part of the movie. A movie about "zombies". She screamed and cried for her mom and dad all the up until they got on the helicopter. Even after being told they needed to be quiet. She was like 10, so I feel like she should have known better. I take every opportunity I can to slander that kid.
Who doesn't have that one really annoying family member that shows up on Christmas and makes you scream internally "god, who the hell invited them?" 🤣 Krampus nails that perfectly
They made a number three on the problem. Child series. Try also to find that one and put it as part of your tearing apart please that one was even worse. She really didn’t hear about much of that one.
I will always have a soft spot for The Cheaper By The Dozen Kids they did get some memorable actors like Hilary Duff & Alyson Stoner. As for Dakota Fanning we know she's Talented and kind they just wrote her Character to be that way. Honestly I'm surprised Kevin & Lindsey from Are We There Yet isn't on this list
OK, SO: one of the character archetype plots I hate: "Ok, so we need to be really quiet to sneak past the Very Bad Thing that Murders People" Shitkid: "But what about my neurotic tic that must be put on sleep mode by performing a loud, obnoxious, plot-diverting, plan delaying, attention-grabbing ritual? If we don't do it, I have to start screaming!" Sensible man: "We should leave that child behind: they're clearly not equipped to deal with the situation, and will get others killed." Idiot parental figure: "Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, we have to protect innocent naivete at all cost, even though horrible things have happened that pretty much destroy all notions of naivete and innocence, and the situation is a clear allegory (or at least cause for) for growing up and changing and adapting: we have to save this token child to preserve that old perspective that we cannot and should not ever go back to! I don't care how many otherwise good and capable people die for it!" Karma, to sensible man: "How DARE you! You now die in a situation you wouldn't even _be_ in if the kid wasn't there. That'll show you." Writers: If other people are already dead, and moving forward requires emotional growth, and the whole personality and point of the kid is "escort mission": dont. Let the kid die.

I KNEW at least 1 child from Charlie/Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory would end up here!
All of them except Charlie qualify for the list...
@@caronstout354 yeah
Jake Lloyd was actually more annoying in Jingle All the Way. Doesn't matter how I know that, just know that it is true.
😂😂😂. Facts
Junior from Problem Child is definitely my number one. I felt myself gritting my teeth the whole time. 😂
I speak for many horror fans when I say I'm very disappointed you didn't include Bob from "House by the Cemetery".
Now this is the list I've been waiting for.
The V.O. script for this video feels like a throwback to some old school WatchMojo writing.
Shove it shove it"
Eric Shea...the first voice actor for Charlie Brown...
@@caronstout354 I think he was Linus since Peter Robbins was Charlie Brown.
Veruca is surely far beyond annoying spoiled kid. 😂
Dennis was actually pretty adorable- he had good intentions and he did his best to be helpful. I think he’s a sweetheart.
ETA: Kids can be perceived to be annoying but that’s not the case. They’re little and they’re learning. Be patient. ❤️
I dont get the Little Anakin hate, he is likeable. I’ve always felt so
You can't be serious.
I thought for sure the newspaper delivery boy yelling for his "2 dollars" throughout Better Off Dead would be on this list. Then again, I think he was purposely intended to be comically annoying.
At the end of Krampus, I'm pretty sure that's them in Hell.
I didn’t think Danny was too annoying in Zathura, to be honest. He’s actually one of my favorite characters in the movie!
The fact you put the thumbnail of the kid from the “why are you like this?!” meme, you have my respect.
"Why can't you just be normal!?"
1:20 not to mention some of his novels around that time. Some of the other characters were interesting than bobas character development.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! I think they were good actors and actresses to look convincingly annoying. 🤣
Man I used to watch It Takes Two constantly as a kid.....
Problem Child series are the best my favourite movie growing up I’m surprised that none of my friends know about the film but still awesome 🤩
When will screenwriters and kids learn that running around and screaming ARE NOT acting?
I actually loved the kid from Star Wars. He was charming and a really good actor. The race scene was unbearable because it was stupid, pointless and way too long, but it wasn't his fault. People whose strength doesn't lie on their brains blamed him instead of the director.
One of my most annoying is Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds (2005 film)
Both of those damn kids were annoying.
That kid from black Adam better be on this list
WHAT? Gray and Zack Mitchell from Jurassic World? I don’t think so. I don’t find them annoying
There should be a list for kids from animated movies
The kid from Black Adam should been Number 1
I haven't seen the movie yet, but he isn't a well known character yet, so it makes sense why he isn't, but there should've definitely been an honorable/dishonorable list and they would've been on it.
If any DC kid should be on this list, it's Freddie (Shazam and Shazam 2)
He's the geeky kid who would even make Sheldon Cooper preferable for company
No wonder the guys from tv and cinema sins are always sinning kids. Makes sense 😂
Dennis was a kid of his time 😂😂 love him lol
He´s supposed to BE annoying. That´s his character. I never seen the irl movie but seen the cartoon and Dennis is an annoying kid. Simple as that.
To be fair , there are Adults who are more annoying than these kids
True. Twitter/X has a bunch of simping clowns.
WatchMojo: "We won't be including teenagers in this list."
Also WatchMojo: "Zach is your stereotypical teenage boy."
Teenagers in movies can be annoying for sure as well.
And includes Draco who's a teen for majority of the films.
When I saw the thumbnail I was like, that brat was so annoying. When I saw the heading I was like "dead accurate"
Haven't started the video yet but Number one has to be the boy from black Adam 😂
Half of these kids were indeed annoyin, but few were evil (ex. Isaac Chroner), and 2 needed a another good punch like Draco and her 1st slap like Veruca. But some were just being regular kids their age.
"That boy ain't right"
-Hank Hill
The kid from The Babadook was the real monster.
I think Kevin Griswold from 2015 Vacation should be here
Now do a top 20 or 10 best kids in movies!!! I bet number one is either Danny Torrance or Regan from Exorcist!!
The Babadook kid was the worst.
How about the girl from Jurassic Park? She could hack the Park's security software, but she couldn't figure out how to turn off a flashlight that she turned on ten seconds earlier.
You know the kid in The Babadook was severely autistic, lonely and misunderstood - right?
She also kept at the dinosaurs.
@@lizziewhitby-davies2472 doesn't stop him from being annoying. This coming from someone also with autism.
@@lizziewhitby-davies2472 the video is about annoying kid characters; that kid character was enormously annoying.
@@xBloodxFangxagreed! I have autism too & I knew another autistic guy a few years who I just couldn’t stand cos he was annoying, too in your face & just brought stuff up that hurt me. Not someone I’d wanna be around
Veruca from Williy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.....Her voice still feels like nails on a chalkboard.
I forgot about Cid from Looper. I don’t know what to say about him
buzz was really annoying home alone he just loved to pick on kevin along with his entire family in the beginning
One of the reasons I REALLY can’t stand the first Home Alone. Other than Peter McCallister, the McCallister Family would’ve been better off disappearing for real.
I have a really hard time for "Buzz" after seeing the actor as an adult in a very disturbing episode of Law & Order - SVU when he is playing a rapist.
I agree. They all where very mean to Kevin. And his uncle with family and cousins was also a-holes as well.
you have a ridiculously low tolerance for juveniles responding to alien invasions
Would love to see the Top 20 Awesome Kid Characters in Movies! I can think of a couple, already!
Bullying and annoying aren't even close to the same thing.
Alex from the mummy returns is brilliant. Don't actually have a problem with him. Can you really call Isaac Chroner a kid, despite the fact that the actor who played him was 24 when he got the part. Also Isaac is the best god dame thing about children of the corn. 😂
Isaac was a kid. The actor who played it was not. Character and actor are not the same thing.
The first Dennis the Menace is god tier
They made a number three on the problem. Child series. Try also to find that one and put it as part of your tearing apart please that one was even worse. She really didn’t hear about much of that one.
The kid from the Babadook was what gave me nightmares, not the Babadook......
On my life i tried to watch the babadook but that boy annoyed me so much i didnt even get to where the horror begin
OK, SO: one of the character archetype plots I hate:
"Ok, so we need to be really quiet to sneak past the Very Bad Thing that Murders People"
Shitkid: "But what about my neurotic tic that must be put on sleep mode by performing a loud, obnoxious, plot-diverting, plan delaying, attention-grabbing ritual? If we don't do it, I have to start screaming!"
Sensible man: "We should leave that child behind: they're clearly not equipped to deal with the situation, and will get others killed."
Idiot parental figure: "Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, we have to protect innocent naivete at all cost, even though horrible things have happened that pretty much destroy all notions of naivete and innocence, and the situation is a clear allegory (or at least cause for) for growing up and changing and adapting: we have to save this token child to preserve that old perspective that we cannot and should not ever go back to! I don't care how many otherwise good and capable people die for it!"
Karma, to sensible man: "How DARE you! You now die in a situation you wouldn't even _be_ in if the kid wasn't there. That'll show you."
Writers: If other people are already dead, and moving forward requires emotional growth, and the whole personality and point of the kid is "escort mission": dont. Let the kid die.
14:10 problem child is so terrible it's actually fantastic
The kid is literally why I didn’t finish The Babadook and why I refuse to finish it 💀
Hi Rebecca, i liked your list but what about Joffrey in GAME OF THRONES?
The video is called "Top 20 Annoying Kid Characters in MOVIES" and GOT isn't a movie.
Kids these days don’t know what an ass whooping is
You now these kids are annoying when even you’re wifi signal freezes every time the next kids on the list appears.
😅😅😅
