Put the screw in the top first to avoid all that loss of fluid at the bottom

Good video but manual says you're supposed to pump an inch in the monitor Reservoir then you can fill it up from the top. 11. Using lubricant pump, fill sterndrive unit through fill/drain hole with lubricant until oil is
even with bottom edge of vent hole.
    12. Without removing lubricant pump fitting from fill/drain hole, reinstall oil vent plug and
sealing washer. Torque to 40 lb-in. (4.5 Nm).
    13. Continue filling drive until there is one inch of oil in the gear lube monitor.
    14. Remove lubricant pump fitting and quickly reinstall fill/drain plug and sealing washer.
    Torque to 40 lb-in. (4.5 Nm).

Drained my drive for over a hour, pulled cap from reservoir and removed top plug on drive. Took 2.5 Qts to (over) fill. Be careful when you get to 2 Qts it overfills quickly.

Hey good video - looks like you have the magnetic plugs. It would be a good idea to mention the purpose of the magnets on each plug and why checking them periodically is important.

Seems like you should trim the drive down from the beginning to get everything out. Good video though.

Great video. Question how do you flush your chaparral?? I have a 2020 SSX and can't seem to flush with the flush port on the swim platform. Been dropping lower unit is a 65g pal with salt off.

I don’t run in saltwater. But you can probably use motor flush “muffs” and let it run long enough for the thermostat to open and flush the engine block as well. The thermostat will open as needed when boat is full operating temperature.
Use something like this ISURE MARINE Universal Rectangular Outboard Motor Water Flusher Boat Ear Muff Engine Flusher for Marine Boat www.amazon.com/dp/B08DRGWKDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QCCR2NCSGTW39NZKMF6K?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
