Me over here like "WHERE ARE MY HOT MAN KISSES WE CAME SO CLOSE WE HINTED AT IT SO MUCH!"
But also, "Damn this family is fucked."
To answer your question, no. Vampires can't just float around in space. Sunlight, unshielded, no place to hide, blah blah blah... You know how it goes. With an unlimited lifespan, unrestrained morality, and an almost impossible ability to murder any random person and accumulate their wealth over a few hundred years, a vampire could build itself an invulnerable, sunlight-proof coffin, launch itself into space on one of Elon Musk's space vessels, and wait to be unlocked in the future by people that don't know what vampires are... Just sayin'... :D
You BOTH are gorgeous women! I was admiring your beauty the entire time instead of enjoying your review of one of my favorite films.
You should watch a discovery of witches
One thing twilight got right is vampires exudes sexuality and attractiveness it's why people are drawn to them as soon as they enter a room and interview with a vampire plays on that. Claudia plays on parental instincts to draw people into protecting an "innocent" child, not realizing she's probable 3 times their age. The lost boys and Interview with a vampire are iconic vampire movies.
the ending with Lestat driving off? top tier, magic, amazing
"Where's the kiss?" It's in the new show. BIG time.
I watched this regularly as a child. I feel like it has shaped me as a person (85 baby here)
Same (84 here). Definitely a cornerstone of my sexual awakening lol
85!! ❤️
Same! Favorite movie/book ever!
85. 🫣😂
I'm an 80's baby, I saw this at the theatre with my first true love! So it's got a special place in my heart since she died in 2016
Btw Louis and Lestat's relationship is much more explicit and detailed in the books
Like literally theirs a spinoff called "Louis and Lestat" and it's just about their toxic love
Also I found it interesting how different they made Lestat in the Movies
In the books he actually plays more of the hero's role and most of the book is actually from his point of view
I'm not really mad about I just found it interesting how they made him more evil in the movie
Evil? He's pretty much the most honorable character in this movie, including the human interviewer...
If Lestat is the hero in the book then does that mean Louis was the villain?
@@MrFredstt
Not exactly
I didn't really word it right I was talking more about specifically the second book in the series "The vampire Lestat" which begins with Lestat finding out about the "interview with the vampire" and basically going like "wtf my ex telling lies about me! I didn't do any of that shit!"
And then tells his side of the story
While yes, Lestat was (is) a brat (his nickname from all other characters in the series is literally 'The brat prince Lestat'"
Louis was pretty entitled around him and insisted he didn't need him anymore and Louis was still pretty pissed Lestat and just told a biased retelling of the story. Lol
3:26 "make out ! "
well, a vampire bite is also called the kiss of death so 😅 there you have it
"It felt like I was in Edward's mind"
🤣🤣🤣 I've been looking at Edward as a Lestat+Louis mashup for a while. He only kills criminals (Lestat), but has gone 'vegan' (Louis). Sullen, brooding, beautiful, and overly dramatic describe Lou and Ed equally well.
We love our moody boys though even if they are drama queens haha 😈
Baby trapping at its finest 👌🏼
Internal screaming when I saw you guys react to this! I literally wrote a paper in college on the homoeroticism in IWAV ❤😂
The thing with Claudia was that she was turned even younger in the book, IIRC (I think she was turned at 6 years old? I think it was an homage to Anne Rice's daughter that died young). And also, in the book, the sexual relationship between Louis and Claudia is a bit more...overt? Definitely uncomfortable to read! (Oh, and the book is even gayer -- as is the rest of the series -- even the interviewer ends up in a gay relationship)
Be you for your priiiidddeeee 🌈😂
Yet they can't have sex, they are beyond mortal pleasure! The act of drinking blood is the ultimate pleasure...Being gay isn't part of what they are, it's more about companionship
Best vampire movie of all time
Agreed. I can't get enough of it. ❤️
His house at the end would have 100 percent been a crack den.
hahaha you right 😂
Another hilarious reaction!
This cast is stacked, Tom Cruise as Lestat is iconic. I haven’t read the book in years, but I remember it being way gayer lol
Omg Yes yes yes!! I’m reading the book right now, can’t believe the synchrony 🤣🕯🖤
the universe has brought us together ✨
@@demontrash yes indeed 🤗🖤
Keep reading the rest of the series, they're all pretty great. I hope you enjoyed the first!
@@ssjwes I will! Thank you 🤗💕
I read the book when I was ten and fell in love
True blood actually has a court hearing for vampire on vampire crime but I've literally only seen 1 youtuber ballsy enough to react to it and they only did it for 2 or 3 seasons lol
I love this movie so much lol
The book series is honestly a MASTERPIECE
There actually is at least one movie about space vampires (technically). It's called Lifeforce, and...oof, it is no Interview with the Vampire *derogatory*.
Can you guys watch the Crow! The one where Brandon Lee was killed on set on accident. One of the best 90s movies ever. Not exactly a vampire but kind of a ghost
I mean… I’m here for vampire stuff. Especially this film.
I love Claudia. Her wardrobe is awesome
You should really check out Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall which was made around the same time as this movie. Except this time he has long blonde hair and he is a rough and romantic cowboy.
Vamps in Space, the whole direct sunlight from the sun might be an issue. :)
please react to the tv series based on the book it just came out on AMC+ !!!
This movie is iconic to me, I watched this film religiously, obsessed with both Louis and Lestat. I wanted to be between them ya'll 😝
Who wouldn't and imma Straight guy lol
Those clothes aren't French specifically, people just associate that period with French history. Those clothes (and variations thereof) were worn throughout Europe and in pretty much all the European colonies too. It's not something specifically French, or Louisianan (?), people in Italy, Spain, England, all of the US, every location where there were Europeans, people wore this type of fashion. With local adaptations or regional versions etc.
Oh these girls need to actually read the book and then they would be like this is nothing
Will there be reactions to the tv series on AMC+?
i’m so so sorry but Twilight is Cinema 🧑🎨
thank you! a person of taste 🤌😘- Avery
I hope y'all react to the AMC tv show Interview with the Vampire!! it's amazing so far
Lestat was a terrible maker! He told them only the bare minimum and nothing else. Lestat's own maker made him a vampire, left him everything and then jumped into a fire to die. Then he learned a whole bunch of stuff in his past, but literally was a d*ck and told nothing of it to Louis or Claudia. He literally never shared much about what vampires could do. He even kept his own Vampire gifts from them. Louis never remembered that Lestat could fly. He basically left them out of so much information that would have been helpful for them. Most particular that it was near on illegal in vampire society to create a child vampire. He did that and it was just like tralala there's nothing wrong with this. They had no clue that there were even vampire laws, because Lestat was the Brat Prince and the ultimate rule breaker. So they got screwed by their own maker to begin with. Never mind when they went abroad to France. Searching out other vampires was a death sentence because they had no idea about Vampire society and laws. Like gee thanks Lestat! Hope you two enjoyed the film though!
Men in long hair are just the most beautiful beings ngl
I really enjoyed this, thanks :D
OK you said twilight is not cinema I’m already in, signed me up!
I'm actually surprised that my late mother let me watch this and other movies like FlashDance and Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman, and other films when I was a kid.
Shoot she would watched them with me.
And I remember the most being sexually awakened and aware watching this movie, and back then it went over my head on some scenes and also that even though Louie was straight and had been married to a woman, Lestat had lost his previous lover who was a man and he seemed to want to replace him with Louie so they were like a "couple" as vampires and then of course Louie had Claudia and she was at first like his daughter, but then 30 years pass and she's a woman in her mind but unable to grow up physically and she becomes Lousies daughter/wife/ lover...
I remember being shocked that Kirsten Dunst actually kissed Brad Pitt on the lips.
She said it was weird like kissing her brother.
Cause back then she was 12 years old cause she was born in 1982 and Brad Pitt was 30 years old..
And I was thinking, man she was so lucky! She's only a few years older than me and gets to actually kiss Brad Pitt?!
That is SO unfair! LOL!
I had the hugest crush on Brad Pitt in this movie and in Legends of the Fall and Troy and Meet Joe Black, I especially loved Brad Pitts long blonde hair in Legends of the Fall.
And when I first watched this movie I didn't realize that Antonio's character could have saved Claudia but didn't because he knew Louie would never be "his" as long as Claudia was around so therefore he let Louie kill his coven and he didn't save Claudia like he could have. He lied.
But yes I remember being shocked at how sexual some parts of this movie was. And really it's not as bad as other films I've seen.
But yes as a kid it was shocking to watch some scenes.
And I remember also being shocked as a child watching a movie that showed French kissing up close it was the Musical called Cry Baby starring Johnny Depp whom I had a huge crush on for SO MANY YEARS. I'm talking all the way back to The time when he was in Whats Eating Gilbert Grape and when he was in the Freddie horror movie.
But man alive he was so sexy in Cry Baby the musical.
Now mama and I watched Pretty Woman so many times that I even knew each line by heart. Lol
And I there was alot of stuff said and things implied that happened that I caught back then and understood at a young age even though I probably shouldn't have known.
Plus mama let me read romance novels.
She didn't read the books before I did. She just let me pick out what I wanted to read.
And back in the 90's I was reading ALOT of Danielle Steel books for example and there is some strong language and se detailed intimate relations in there so yeah, I learned alot of stuff and filed that away for later on for when I was much older and preferably married since I was old fashioned.
And I did marry young at 19. And have been married for 17 years now.
But yes my mother was very open and honest with me about telling me about the birds and the bees. She didn't beat around the bush at all. She straight up called everything out like it was and told me what to expect and let me read romance novels to have more understanding of it.
I'm thankful for that knowledge because atleast my first time was not so awkward and embaressing despite my lack of experience.
It's safe to say that what I lacked in experience I made up for due to all my book learning and curiosity and excitement.
My mother didn't want me to be like her when she got married and was a virgin bride with not any experience but also not much knowledge about sex at all.
She was so innocent because her mother never even went into detail with her on things.
And her husband was also a virgin and didn't know much either so they both were very experienced and she told me about her first time and how funny and awkward it was and she wanted to spare me from that.
So thanks to her my husband got a little dominatrix on our honeymoon. Lol!!!
Being married to a woman doesn't make one straight , its a spectrum .
Alexander was also married to three woman
You should read the books. And Anne Rice's Vampires are SO MUCH hotter and better than those glittery things in Twilight.
Another super funny commentary! 👏🏾
A few months back I think I read that AMC is making this into a TV show 🤔
They are and we don’t know how to feel.
@@demontrash That's OK. We'll work out all of those confusing feelings when y'all do the commentary 😁
What’s better the new interview with the vampire series or the older movie?
oof, good question. ultimately this movie is a classic. however, the new show is amazing! let's be real...if tom cruise and brad pitt gave us the romance we crave, it would be better.
Fun stuff girls 🤘😁👍
Louis and Lestat are a divorced Toxic couple. Lestats the parent that wants to go party and cause chaos and Louis is like " bUt wE hAvE a BaE bAe.." And even after they split Lestats like " Ffs louis Why u gotta pee on my parade." Meanwhile Louis " I hAte mY UnlIFe..."
Funny story, I've never actually seen this movie. We need to next time we're in the same state together!
Okay you two are fucking hilarious! Got my sub immediately. Oh and you can kill other Vampires, the true sin is turning a child into a Vampire :)
Vroom vroom 😂 ok I'm checking out your other videos, this was one of the best reactions I've seen to this movie, I'm laughing so much! New Orleans smells like rats ahaha
When I clicked on this and the first thing I heard was the part about biting a titty and it being smut, I knew this was definitely where I parked my car!
3:35 : Mmm Mmmm Mmmmmm the flavours are melting on my tongue !!!
Vamps in space immediately reminded me of Kars from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Lol
Wow you guys are unwell wow 👏
this is our fave comment ever
Id love to see yall react to the new show
Luv vamps ahhh xo
Does one know the name of the wind is mariah? George Hamilton as Dracula in love at first bite.
UM......IT HAS BEEN AWHILE FOR YOU TOO? OMG
I would totally be fine being a vampire.
There is always a underlying subtext of homosexuality between Lestat and Louis, in the books its a lot more present and clearly laid out that they do love each other. Like Lestat was obsessed with him, he thought he was beautiful and Lestat is definitely bisexual. And we know for a fact that Louis was attracted to Armond.
I saw you guys also watched Queen of the Damned. I have to say that movie is still my favorite to this day, That movie and this one made me fall in love with Vampires as a kid, I literally grew up watching them.
Will a reaction to Lifeforce be in their future ?
Yas!
Not enough movie snippets. Difficult to even tell which film was being viewed.
Right
I think the sun in space might pose a bit of an issue lol
*fart reverb noise*
@@demontrash lol
Have you both seen Dracula 2000 I sent for him for like 5 years and he still got a piece of my heart I don't know what it is about Antonio Banderas but ugh......... Side note you'd be Robin Hood of the vampires still the rich people's blood and give it to the poor vampires
9:45
you should watch the new show 🤔 not react to bc that might be hard but check it out
Lestat and Louis are super gay and do eventually reconcile in the books
you two talk a lot during the movie... at least pause it...
Ladies if you want a man opening his shirt may I humbly recommend pirates of Penzance with Jon English. It’s a running gag. He opens his shirt and women squeal. Yeah he isn’t Brad Pitt but just go with it
