Based on your review I cancelled my order for a less expensive “brand X” net and went with the NetReturn Home V2 with a 6x10’ hitting mat from Top Shelf golf in the U.S. Literally took 5-10 minutes to set up. It is so light and so easily moved. Pairing it with a Sky Track orig monitor and have it on my back yard deck facing Sangre de Christo mountains in Santa Fe. So glad I saw your review. This thing is Brilliant!!!
I use the net return Pro Series v2 and love it I've used it for 2 years now. I added the no fly zone to capture those flops. Also attaches to existing net and secondary netting from net return that covers the hitting area. When the net is in my garage i hit pretty close to it and it has held up great. Yes its expensive but well worth the money.
Also The Net Return customer service is top tier. I needed three connection pole replaced and had them in my hands in under 4 days. I was lucky and found a gently used Pro Series at a local pawn shop for $40.
I had one and wore out the net in under 18 months. I had to cut out a square from the side netting and cable tie over the hole I made. Other than that, the netting itself is thicker than average so I’m not convinced it would be all that good for seeing through onto a projected screen.
I honestly can't remember what the mat is called. I got it from The Net Return Australia - I'm sure they'd tell you if you wanted to message them. Could be a country club something or other... Sorry!
What size Net Return is this? I know it's the Home v2, is that 7x7? Do you still like this size? Finally, how close to the net do you have your mat? Thank you.
Hey, yes 7x7 from memory and I love this net. Easily the best I've tried and still looks nearly new after a couple of years outside. If I'm not using a launch monitor, I get as close as I can without hitting it... If with a monitor, I follow their guide as to how much flight space it needs.
Just bought it! The absolute best net I’ve ever used. Never worry about a hole In The garage. Eats the golf balls and spits it out smooth. Huge! I can kick a soccer ball as hard as I can and it doesn’t move. It’s great.
I almost always use it with a launch monitor and I always feel comfortable to hit the net, but in saying that you can also get side panels for total confidence. I rate it!
Hi great video, I’m looking at this and the Spornia SPG8. I’ve only been playing a few months trying to develop my swing and maintain consistency. I’m just worried I will shank shots into my neighbours property. Will be outside in Australian Queensland sun. Also which launch monitor do you recommend? Thank you
I find you can get pretty close to it and still swing if that helps. Also, mine is outside 100% of the time (although Sydney is not especially sunny right now haha). I've done a few launch monitor reviews, so possibly depends on budget and what you want from it...
I'm actually not certain what the mat is but it's great. I know that if you emailed these guys they'd be able to give you some great advice: info@thenetreturn.com.au Hope it helps.
Thanks. Hard to say without seeing how high, but in saying that I've never hit over the top even with a lob wedge, so I'd be surprised if it's higher than that? With wedges I do just tend to hit from closer to the net. I've honestly never had an issue and really love mine. Good luck
You need the side panels, and probably bigger than those shown, if you are attempting to make significant changes to your swing as you will be quite likely to hit bad shanks but you mustn’t be wary of doing that. For instance if you are trying to get more rotational and get closer to the ball.
Thanks for the review. After so many months, how is it standing the weather? I just got this same net and it will stay outside all the time. Is the net still holding up?
Forgot to add, there is zero protection for high launching wedge shots with this net. I used mine indoors and significantly damaged my ceiling with multiple golf ball sized dents in the plasterwork.
Hey. On a budget I think you're looking at the Garmin R10 or the Rapsodo. I've only used the Garmin but it's brilliant for the money and very easy to use.
Any thoughts about whether it would deal with sky balls... That's my miss which oddly gets worse in an indoor simulator. I'd be kinda terrified about skying one straight out of my yard and onto a road
What about go sports 400 US dollars just curious. Cause I am about to pull the trigger I am also about to purchase a country club elite 5\5 just curious what’s the best for your joints for fat shots
You could definitely email the guys at the net return Australia - they offer very useful and impartial advice and I know they have some experience with different types of matting.
Yep. Great product, just shell out £550 to £750 GBP and you're sorted. Otherwise, 65 balls for £5 GBP at my local UK range looks like a total bargain... Do the math(s). P)lease. Just saying: I don't have any hidden agenda, click-bait or other revenue-generating schemes attached to my opinion. I am not here to supplement my living in any way. It's just an opinion. Just a basic honest reaction to complete b-ll_cks. xx

Sorry I didn't see this sooner but glad you are pleased with it and sounds like an epic place to hit balls!

three connection pole replaced? Why?
@ nothing bad I found a used one at a pawn shop for $40 but is was missing a few poles.
JUST BOUGHT net return Pro v2 !!
Arrives 10th of Dec
So excited

I ended up getting a spornia net for my garage set up but this net might’ve been the better option for the space I have
Helpful review. Convinced me to buy the pro version.
I love mine, best net I've tried by far!
Duh...
How is it do with rain and sunlight? Do you keep it outside in direct sunlight or do you move it?
I love mine. It's been outside in the garden since the day I got it, and it's still in perfect condition. Easily the best I've ever tried.
Definitely want to try this net out. It is quite a but more than the Spornia in terms of cost. I do not know if I could justify it. nice video!
Glad you liked the video. They are a little premium but it is hands down the best I've tried. Good luck with whatever you decide.
Why would you choose this instead of spornia7 or 8?
I'm a beginner and have looked at spornia7, hence the question?
Im sure you posted a video on golf mats but cannot find it. Do you have any recommendations for a decent mat to use? Thanks
I honestly can't remember what the mat is called. I got it from The Net Return Australia - I'm sure they'd tell you if you wanted to message them. Could be a country club something or other... Sorry!
I had a cheap net from eBay it was great for my swing, big enough to catch any wayward shots but sadly one of the arms on the frame cracked.
That's a shame, hope you got a good replacement.
What Mat do you use?
Honestly not sure of the name but if you email: info@thenetreturn.com.au those legends would let you know

$700??? Haha They can pound sand

Bought the same style from their manufacturer for 60% less

@@mambawattshow’d you do that ?
Have you used it with launch monitor? They usually require 8 feet from the net. At that distance, would you miss the net??

Hey Jon, great review of the net!! Question - My ball flight is a little too high with my irons, would that be a problem? Thanks!!
Thanks. Hard to say without seeing how high, but in saying that I've never hit over the top even with a lob wedge, so I'd be surprised if it's higher than that? With wedges I do just tend to hit from closer to the net. I've honestly never had an issue and really love mine. Good luck
Brilliant I'm looking for one as the one I have it has already a hole in the net ☹️
Great! This is definitely the best I've used and I went through a few.
what size did you go with?
Mine is the Pro Series V2. They have a bunch of options but that one fits my space perfectly.

Thanks for the tips
He just said that in the video
Thanks for the review. After so many months, how is it standing the weather? I just got this same net and it will stay outside all the time. Is the net still holding up?
Thanks. Mine lives outside permanently and looks as good as it did when I first got it. It's a great net!
@@JonPerkinsGolf That's great to hear! Thank you!

Hi Jon. Any recommendation for a launch monitor to go with the net? Budget to mid range.

Play better
Is it easy enough to move about 15 yards after each time I use it? I’d like to store it under a roof
Thats pretty much exactly what I do. It's very easy to move (drag or carry)
Forb nets are very good value. Via Net World Sports.
Cool, will have to have a look.

Yes I own a Go Sports a couple of months now, so far so good. its not outside, in the garage for sim use. Yes Sir. 7.5 x 7.5 good size.
