Great video - I personally am done with subscription models. Imo it’s crazy what these monitors and softwares offer as their subscription prices. The pricing seems targeted towards fitters, professionals and businesses, not regular golfers. Because of this, I went with a Mevo+ and lifetime ownership of awesome golf. I owe $0 annually forever because I straight own the monitor and the software. Putting on a simulator is always wonky, I felt that was unimportant when considering. I also like that this setup is completely portable, I can run the software on my iPhone/ipad, no internet connection needed, and the mevo+ has a built in battery.
Great video Gabe! Keep up the good work. I use r10 with gspro and rct balls. I will say every time I’ve had issues with odds sim numbers it was due to incorrect r10 placement. As a high handicap I don’t need extreme accuracy though. Also, the sim is never complete, it’s a work in progress. A hobby as some would say.
I have two setups currently running at my place. I have e6 basic on mevo+ and gspro on uneekor eye xo2 both running on the exact same built pc. With that, every customer i have prefers the gspro when it came to visuals and gameplay over the e6. And now woth the new update of version 3 i believe. It blows away the others. 1125 courses available as of last night with many more available by designers on their patreon pages. Can get your local course made if you have the cash to do so or any other course for that matter. The practice mode and being able to setup your own hole is super fun. You may have done this review 2 weeks early. But love your content.
GSPro currently has 1107 courses as of 10/31/24 I have a GC3 and have been using GSPro for about a year and a half. The cost single Foresight course similar to the annual cost for GSPro. The Community and continued improvement are another plus.
Hey Gabe! Love the review!! I see you’re rocking the Apogee and I’ve seen your review of that as well and it sits at the top of my list right now. Do you feel like the Trackman IO with the V3 software would be a significant upgrade to it or with the eventual full scale release of E6 Apex & the voice commands, we are just splitting hairs at this point? Thank you!
Great video. Planning out my garden room SIM at the moment and this helps. Deciding whether to start with a gaming pc or use that MLM2Pro software for a year.
We would love to have you! MLM2PRO's software did just get a HUGE improvement. But we also offer 3rd Party Sim Softwares as well. (PC compatible with E6 software)
This was the most comprehensive breakdown I have ever seen. Awesome job! Do you think E6 Apex is going to be available on ios/iPad anytime soon, or do I need to drop $1500 CDN on a gaming computer? I currently use Garmin R10 and ipad set up, and E6 exclusively.
Great information in this video! I'm looking into doing a budget simulator in my basement but for the time being I will only be able to use foam golf balls. I know it may behave a little quirky with foam balls but I'm a very mediocre golfer so it's basically just a video game for me. Would you be able to recommend a launch monitor for my situation? I'm leaning toward one that comes with software included
Two questions regarding the Garmin R50, 1. best third party software if any, and 2. will the "Club Keyboard" work with the built-in software - non-third party
When the course play I really wanted to get the Skytrak just to play those courses. I have been on the fence for a while on which launch monitor would be the best for me. I saw the Skytrak plus for 1650 out the door and jumped on it. I figure if I didn’t like it I could sell it and go eye mini lite. The ability to play on an iPad and try the now 31 courses on course play made my decision to pull the trigger. You have me intrigued to try the E6 Apex though. Thanks for the informative video
@@caseyvansanten2103this was a used unit with a 60 day return window. Hence the price, but I have seen several used ones for 2,000 and this was the cheapest I have seen yet. I plan to do the trial this week as I am off work. I tried last week end only to see the unit was still registered to the original purchaser. Skytrak just needed a copy of the receipt and my email. They didn’t respond until Monday though. The reviews really look good on the course play.
Mevo+ user, have E6 courses; but I got GSPro and use that far more; the open source course list and ball physics being a more complicated than E6 when it comes to how the lie/course conditions are effecting the shot are the big factors for me (Example for what I'm talking about with the physics; you can't just 3 wood out of every fairway bunker in GSPro. E6 there's more reward than risk for having that mentality, though.)
I’m going to building a sim in the next few months. Have no clue what brand to get. Want something good, not going to cheap out. By cheap out I’m not going to spend “millions”. Want good quality and graphics. I’m from Canada and not sure what brands are offered? Tough decision! Thx for the video Gabe.
Hey! Please check us out! Regardless of price range, MLM2PRO is extremely accurate and can compete with much more higher priced simulators! Save money on the hardware and get the same accurate results, plus still have the ability to use 3rd party simulation software!
This was correct two weeks ago when I called customer support, but they must have added gameplay very recently. Wasn’t going to work for me since I’m an iPad user and they have no plans to bring to iPad.
Hey Gabe, do you have any E6 Apex gameplay videos uploaded? I am super interested in this software for the on demand courses but it's almost impossible to find any info on it anywhere.
@@LetsPlayThru Thanks, just scrolled through and watched it before i saw this comment. Any change in the status of the on demand course play that you have heard? Looks pretty great and if they deliver on the 43k courses, it seems like a no brainer to get the software
I got the 10 course lifetime E6 for my mevo+. When APEX started working with the mevo+ i tried to use it but it said my lifetime sub didnt qualify for APEX. Has something changed ? you make it sound like it in the vid.
The Mevo+ included E6 isn't the basic subscription it is just 6 or 10 or 12 courses. The basic subscription costs $300 and that allows E6 Apex. Therefore E6 basic plus Apex is a similar price to GSpro. Which would you then recommend?
It’s bad enough some of these launch monitors cost so much money on top of that. You have to add the subscriptions for the average person. That’s just so much. It’s greedy on the companies part.
Great question. Golfzon uses the same software base as Uneekor. My guess is that it must be licensed to both companies. There are more courses and others from different countries, but still mostly Asia. So basically I'd rank the same.
I have the older Mevo that came with only the 6 courses from E6. I haven’t installed it yet, I bought it right before the new version came out. My question is, what’s the best way to run the system, iPhone/iPad or a gaming Pc?
The price is still prohibitive! I don’t want anything that is a subscription. I just need something to play courses in the winter months and is a side read unit not a rear read! Thanks Gabe!
@@LetsPlayThru Only thing is , I retired 2 years ago from refinishing and doing bodywork on vehicles after doing it for 46 years....LOL Sad thing is, it's been in my garage for almost a year now and I have been playing golf and working at my local course and have lost interest in working on cars , THATS the big problem. 🤪

GSPro has over 1100 courses now so not sure where you got 300 from. I think it's the best bang for the buck.
It has way more than 100 courses
@@jamesgramlich4743 I said 1100 in my comment not 100.

Obviously GSPro has the best picture quality, but Home Tee Hero on the R50 on a real range will be unbeatable.
