That was great fun to watch, thanks Markus. Troyes looks like a streamlined a well designed introduction game into the world of Eurogames. Also a solo mode that isn't BYOS is a bonus. Thought you were going to get royally beaten at one stage, so a great recovery. At least you were only beheaded rather than being tortured, then hung, drawn and quartered! lol Might have to put Troyes on my wishlist for solo play.
Thanks, Paul! I actually tried to introduce this to a couple of more casual gamers, and somehow failed. Also thought this to be rather „easy“, but then again I am already spoiled ;-)
@@realjplay haha I like how the top score on results table says something about trying the Agricola solo challenge again! lol Maybe the theme was the problem? I used to be into mediaeval art and literature, so this one is right up my cloister, so to speak! Troyes has relatively few places for workers and dice to go, and there's not a lot of having to gather 3 resources to convert into a another resource that you have to sell for another resource which becomes a VP, imho.
Do you happen to have a "Lego blueprint" for that dice tower? I love it and would like to build one for myself. I love how the bottom is "open" so the tower can just be lifted up once the dice are rolled.
Unfortunately not. This was a freestyle project with my son but it turned out to be quite nice. Maybe I do a quick video showing some of the insides, then it should be relatively clear if that helps.
Hadn't seen any notifications for a while, Markus, and was just thinking about you. And now here you are! I must be psychic lol Didn't know Troyes had a solo version so will be interested to see how it works.
Hi Paul - great to hear from you (Psychic-Paul) :-D Yeah, I was doing some prep work for some boardgames, but hopefully I am back at normal "operations" now :)
@@realjplay Cool. Enjoying Troyes so far. I like that Chretien de Troyes has made an appearance Have read some of his Arthurian poems (in English translation. My Middle-French is even worse than my modern French! lol)

Yeah - this is definitely not the average resource conversion game, which is a good thing for me. On a separate note: I still suck at Agricola ;-)
Very nice playthrough. Thanks.
Thanks for your comment! Great you liked it - was definitely fun to play.
