Great playthrough! The White Castle is one of my favorite games, I love how smooth and quick the bot plays. I noticed some rules mistakes: 1. The gardens are activated when there is a die on either end of the bridge at the end of the round, not necessarily on the side the meeple is in. For example, in [22:46], the bot would have gotten 1 point because the red bridge has a die; in [29:15] the bot would have gotten 6 points instead of 4, as there are dice on all bridges the bot has gardeners. 2. The blue icon on the 5-iron camp does not allow you to do any castle action with a white background, it allows you to do any action associated with a white die (the small square tiles on the castles) [34:55]. 3. You did mention that the bot gets points when it can’t do its action, but you forgot to give it 1 point at [21:15]; 2 points at [27:15] and [29:03]; and 3 points at [32:24]. 4. It didn’t change the outcome, but you can’t be tied in the “passage of time track”, the one with the influence markers [21:36]. At the beginning, your influence tracker should be top because you were the first player. 5. Another user already commented that you took back a dice action but forgot to give back the 3 food you took at [32:35]. 6. Slight math error at [38:20]. The bot has 15 coins and scores 3 points for every 3 coins. It should have gotten 15 points, not 12. Not a rules thing, but I also always forget to use the Shachihoko turn tracker, the one on the top right part of the board. Great video! I look forward watching more of your videos.
Thank you for this video, again. You are my favourite Boardgame UA-camr. :) Keep going with the solo games. And send me a smoke sign when you are in Hungary. :)))
Great video and playthrough! I can imagine how difficult it must be to keep track of filming while also playing and trying to spy out the most efficient combos and moves while thinking 2-3 steps ahead. You did a really good job! One thing to note for future solo plays: when the AI can't take an action from the card (such as moving a Courtier up the castle) they will instead gain points equal to the round number.
After watching your playthrough, added to my "would like to have" list. Very beautiful game. I really like the colors and art and has enough "euro stuff" but not too much.
What a coincidental posting because I just started becoming interested in this game and was curious to see a playthrough. You explained it well 🙂 I looked for it at my FLGS this morning when I was there but they had no stock.
I haven't played this game yet but it looks fun! I found a misplay though. at 33:20 you played a farmer on a 5 space but you should only have 4 food because you unplayed the red die you played at 32:32 but forgot to put your food back from 7 down to 4.
My first thought I had when I saw you uploaded this was "You beat me too it!!" I am dying to get my hand on a copy and play it! When I do I hope you don't mind that I want to do film a playthrough as well haha. I promise I am not copying you 🙂
Hahaha omg no of course I don't mind!!!! Please play all the games!! I love playthrough videos especially of games I enjoy myself so can't wait to watch yours when I post it!! 🥰
Do you own or know Legacy of Yu? If you do, disregard (but I'd love to see it on the channel!) If you don't, it's by Shem Phillips of Garphill Games (you probably know their West Kingdom trilogy and other stuff, I believe you bought something from them at Essen). It's an ancient Asia-themed small box worker placement like this, but it's also a storytelling game, which is amazing. There's a storybook and everything. Solo-only, campaign-only. Think White Castle meets Eila and Something Shiny. You'd totally love it (I know I do!).
Very nice playthrough! And nice win 😀 My camera also stops recording after 30 minutes, and there is nothing I can do about it. Some camera's just have a hard shut-off when it comes to filming....
Prima doorloop! Zeer duidelijk! Dank je!
Fijn! Dank je wel

Thank you so much!! That means a lot to me🥰 I definitely will!!
Thanks for another vid, fantastic work as usual 🙌 you’ve got some good diversity of board games, I tend just branch off into similar ones so far 😅
Thank you so much!! I feel like I'm not diverse at all so that's really great to hear!! 🥰
Great Video, Keep them coming.
Thank you!!

Thank you so much!! That's indeed right! I must have forgotten that rule while playing!! 🙃

Yes I completely agree!! It's definitely crunchy but it's quite short which I really appreciate

Oh no that's too bad!! Always sad when you're looking to buy a game but it's not there! I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks so much for watching 🥰
“Castle-goers and Garden dudes” should definitely be the official name for couriers and gardeners LMAO
hahahahaah I second this!!!
Nice tutorial! You should do more of them! Or just don't stop now! :D And great idea with the corner camera! :)
Haha thank you!!
The camera didn't die so we didn't miss your lovely face ;). Thanks for the game, it looks very interesting solo.
Thank you I'm so glad!! 🤗

Yes I really want to get to Legacy of Yu. I don't own it yet but it's on the list.

Yeah mine does it too so I'll have to just keep that in mind and turn it off and on again because it shuts off by itself 😅
