We met Todd at a Kamelot concert in St. Pete, Florida years ago, he had just started singing with QR, I knew him from his Crimson Glory days only. He literally stood outside with us for an hour and a half talking rock, people didn't recognise him much back there so it was easier. At some point he asked us "Do you want to go say hi to the Kamelot guys before the show? I know them well" We were like "Hell yeah" went in, he got me a Casey Grillo signed drumstick and spent sometime with the guys. Then is showtime and Todd stayed with us through the whole show, gave us a hug after and left. What a class dude.

At first it cut off your comment and it looked like it said “no mistaking that this new singer SMOKES” - as if he smokes cigarettes just like Geoff did. ;-)
Don't know how laughable Tate is cause he's getting older and his vocal abilities have degenerated. You get old things fail. SMOKES Tate, nice opinion.

I saw Geoff Tate a few months ago. His voice is totally shot now. This guy is very, very good. The last time I saw Geoff sing Queen of the Reich that good was on the Warning tour. So there you go.
I saw Tate sing it on the Mindcrime tour when they opened for Metallica. He nailed it hard but La Torre can do a good representation of that song that Tate simply cannot do anymore. No hate, no malice, I wish each camp the best and hope they are all happy in the end. I would like to see DeGarmo back in the Ryche. I've sang these songs for almost 34 yrs. I think I've sang them well, I've always taken pride in that. Todd sings this great. Geoff's problem was and is, he started to think his shit doesn't stink, he started smoking, and drinking on stage. This is a huge no-no for a singer. He doesn't sound the same, he sang in that upper register all the time. You will not keep your voice the way it was if you do this, you have to work your whole range, warm-up, cool down your voice every time you sing. This has hurt his voice. It happened to him, it happened to Steve Perry, and it happened to Ray Alder from Fates, I don't think Perry ever smoked cigs. I'm not sure. I never have, I'm 50 and can still hit most of these notes(out of practice). That's a lesson for all you younger singers out there. And take lessons from someone who knows how to give them.

Been a Queensryche fan since they released their demo, and I LOVE the new stuff with this new singer. Miss DeGarmo for sure, but this lineup rocks and there’s no mistaking it. Also no mistaking that this new singer SMOKES Tate. It’s laughable how Geoff sounds these days...
🤟
Tate is a shadow of former self
At first it cut off your comment and it looked like it said “no mistaking that this new singer SMOKES” - as if he smokes cigarettes just like Geoff did. ;-)
Don't know how laughable Tate is cause he's getting older and his vocal abilities have degenerated. You get old things fail. SMOKES Tate, nice opinion.
Saludos a Tod la Torre, por su magnifico trabajo
Todd is amazing. I love his singing on Queen of the Reich!!!!!!!!
Every performance of this (and take hold of the flame) just has to age a singers pipes by a year.....I don't see how Todd can still do it
La Torre isn't bad. Honestly, I've heard the song sung better by Brittney Hayes from Unleash the Archers, but this is creditable.
Britt and UtA killed it with their cover
I've seen 'Ryche live twice back in their heyday, and UTA recently. I'd take Brittney over Tate any day. She has an amazing voice and is wonderful to her fans. He's a douche.
Even Britney Spears would be better man....
Reminded me of Saturday night in Philadelphia had Headbanging on
Wmmr
I love how Todd wears his sunglasses at all times except for when he’s actually outside in the day time haha. Also, like that little growl in the beginning. Nothing but love for the new QR!
Kareochyryche...
Canta muito!!!
This guy on vocals is pretty good !...Geoff Tate the Man...
That's not Geoff Tate, it's Todd La Torre.
Geoff hasn’t made a good album in a long time. It feels weird to say but queensryche sounds better off without him.
j2times2006 his newest one sweet oblivion is great. Best he’s done since American soldier
@Jim Leask MORON..THE GUY IS GOOD..GEOFF IS THE MANNNNNN!!!!!!
@@adinadamian5634 he's not saying that's goeff Tate. He's acknowledging how good this guy is but saying goeff Tate is still the man.
If you've never seen them or know about them you can't really tell the difference by listening to them fan since 86
La torre is awesome
These are times of change and unfortunately there are people who have to leave the bands, I am in Mexico, but people do not always work the way we want and this lineup makes me the best and very healthy ...
Speechless he hit every note and showed a lot of energy. Dude can sing.
lol
If you think he's good you should have seen the first guy they had.......
Off key, screaming and gurgling. I think he should go to a death metal band instead
Todd's great, keep it up!!
vocal loco demais ; isso é musica !!!!!
And to think I got my selfie w/La Torre under the awning of the Montego in a blinding snowstorm the morning after the concert @ the Peppermill Concert Hall! Who'd a thunk it?!!!
Damn that was good.
Timeless classic to have a good start into the New Year, and eagerly waiting for "The Verdict", due out on March 1st...
I am not a huge fan of Parker Lundgren's live sound and I think Wilton needs DeGarmo to complement his style.
It’s called getting old let’s not forget the insane parties
@@wickedcrypto6004 I Kno people act like he just woke up one day and decided "hey I feel like singing like I'm well past my prime" it happens to singers, musicians, athletes, etc father times a bitch
You must not watch a lot of Queensryche. Tate sung the song well into the 2000's.
@@adameves5970 HATS OF TO HIM He is good. bud I wish the whole band could get along at least for the fans.
Best Song of Queensryche
Saw them in San Diego last night, the whole band sounded even better than this vid. 4th time seeing QR, first was the Hear in the Now Fron-tour. Last night was the best they sounded
Saw these guys back in 2014 there amazing
Amazing voice. Really well done, especially live.
He actually hit that high wow!!!
He got damn close, earned my thumbs up
And damn low too
he sounds as bad as axl
Not exactly ,but he gave it everything he had !
He knew it was about to break down that is why he didn't finish, Geoff always finished
The music lives on
It would be great if Ryche came out with a really heavy album, like thrash metal, try something new...this isnt the old ryche anyways
Todd rocks it!
One of the best singers of Metal despite being hated by many assholess \m/
This is what queensryche is supposed to sound like. Great job
\m/ super band Queensryche \m/
