1995 Honda Passport Isuzu Rodeo Lift and Fuel tank Raise

- Опубліковано 24 жов 2023
- My 1995 Honda Passport aka Isuzu Rodeo is finally getting its suspension lift from OME Old Man Emu with their leaf springs and bushings. It will also get some home made shackles make room for the 33x12.5-17 Milestar Patagonia tires and 17" steel wheels. I will also be raising the fuel tank about 2 inches for better ground clearance and a better departure angle. Stay tuned to see the second episode and the finished lift. A long form start to finish vid wouldn’t hurt my feelings. With your style of video production, I could easily throw you up on the big TV and enjoy an hour and a half vid. 👍
Part 2 will be next Wednesday. What do you think so far? Would you do anything different?
@@DJsHotRodFabGreat job. I wouldn’t change anything at all. I would see how she drives then add a mod or change something then.
Yeah!
I was screaming at my screen while you were fully welding the shackles without test fitting 😆
Haha, I knew better
This is by far my favorite project. I thought you said it has master or slave cylinder leak. It seems I skipped it or you skipped that part.
The previous owners said it had a leak in the clutch system. I haven't found it leaking yet.
I would love to see a list of the parts used. I have a 95 rodeo I’ve been wanting to lift but don’t want to break to bank. I was happy to someone building one of these a lot people think of rodeos as dinosaurs.
Well I bought the OME leaf springs because mine were broken, so that was the biggest budget breaker. I custom made my shackles, bought cheapish shocks and new bushings and U Bolts for the rear. I think I have all the parts listed on the videos I din on this lift.
@@DJsHotRodFab is the price per spring and is the bushing kit priced per side as well.
The video was great I’m looking forward to seeing what else you do.
@@mjbanf you need 2 springs and bushings I believe. I ended up calling them when I ordered the stuff. If I had good stock springs I probably would have just done and add a leaf.
Great video! What is the offest and width of those new 17" wheels? Edit... Sorry just saw ur comment on another's post. The wheels are VISION 84 D Window Rim 17X8 6X139.7 Offset -12. Did you get any rubbing up front? Assuming you did a torsion lift up front?
I'm running 12.5 wide tires. And yes cranked the torsion bars up. It rubbed the front valance so I trimmed a little there. And it rubs the inside fender liner sometimes just barely. Haven't trimmed that yet.
Thanks for the reply and love the video man!

Bro do you know how to read the check engine codes on these things. I cannot find anything for the life of me
I have a 1994 Isuzu rodeo. Did you replace the gas tank, and if you did where did you get it from? I need to replace mine.
I did not replace it, just raised it.
Any idea if 235/85 r16 would fit a stock rodeo without lifting it.?
My guess would be yes, that's close to a 31 and depending on the wheels and how sagged out your suspension is, they probably will fit
@@DJsHotRodFab. It's got 245/75 r16 on it now and was wondering if you or anyone has tried 235/85r16 before. Thanks.
Hey man, I’m trying to find information on my 1996 Isuzu rodeo I’m doing the same thing that you are doing in this video. But I want to also do a body lift and I don’t know about the steering shaft extension I don’t want to weld one. But I would like to do it 3 inch body lift but I’m afraid I’m gonna have problems with the steering shaft. but if I can get away with a 2 inch body lift kit without messing with the steering, shaft that would be great to. I just need to talk to someone with some knowledge
Sorry man I don't know anything about body lifting one of these. I personally would keep the body lift to a minimum.
Where did you get those tires and rims I’ve been trying to put bigger ones on my 95 rodeo but the front hubs are too big?
Tires were used these are the wheels. I used a different seller, but they aren't selling them at the moment. www.ebay.com/itm/192929055988?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=QjawpnV4SHa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=csK1nnv7Roi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Toyota and old school Chevy fit the rodeos
