You're probably aware of this, but on the chance you aren't, did you know that Metallica did a concert in Moscow in 1991? Legend states that 1.6 million people attended the concert. Lars Ulrich, Metallica's drummer, says it was probably closer to 500,000, but 500k is still a LOT of people at a concert.
I wish more people were like you. So many people, especially people in America, take music and western luxuries for granted and are numbed down to and don’t appreciate the beauty in things. You def have it girl. You always spot the most beautiful and divinely harmonious and gorgeously layered moments in any song. This is something I appreciate about any human more than most things. People who can see and identity the special moments are a gift. You are a gift. Please keep sharing it with the world ❤️
So, I remember listening to this song for the first time back in 1988, in a small town in Alabama where I was, in fact, locked up in an institution for troubled teenagers. Metallica's music really meant quite a lot to me back then. I would put on my headphones and it would take me to another place. Listening to music definitely was more than just something to have on in the background. It was an escape for me. And to hear separated by so many years, and from a different part of the world, listen to this same song and react to it pretty much the same I way I did back then is pretty amazing. So thx for your reactions and discussions. These online reactions are nice reminders about the positive effects that good music can have on people!
''If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But... if it's real, you'll feal it.'' - ♡
Looks like I'm a few months late haha, I knew you would enjoy the intro. I get chills/goosebumps everytime I hear the intro and the first two guitar solos
The reason why James Hetfield, the lead singer of Metallica sounded so different here in this song is because when he was young (when Master of Puppets was made), he sings with his lungs and his vocal cords, and being much younger, he can blast ang growl so his singing voice had an "gravely edge" to it if you get my drift. Unfortunately, after blasting his vocal cords for over 10 years, in the 1990's, his voice suffered and his cords blew out not once, but TWICE! The second time, the doctors basicaly told him that if he kept on singing like he did, then there is a very good chance he may nver sing again due to his vocal cords just about had it! hence why these days, his voice is more nasaly since he uses his nose much more to protect his vocal cords.
Wow. Great reaction, as always. I'm very happy that you've checked two of the suggestions that I have sent (along with other people) these past few days. First, Iron Maiden "Alexander the Great" and now Metallica "Welcome Home", even better having enjoyed both. Blessings to you. In the coming days, we’ll all be sending out more timeless music suggestions. 😀😀Keep up this great job. Thank you very much.
Excellent choice! I think it's great that you're getting a better understanding of Metallica, and seeing past all of that watered down "pop" music. This has been one of my favorite Metallica reactions 🤘🤘🤘Thank you
This song is better with no video. Remember that when we bought and listened to Metallica’s first three albums (the good ones - available on vinyl [and casstte] only), the band had no music videos. We had to close our eyes and use our imagination
I love your sermon at the end. To which I say AMEN, SISTER! You are right. Most people listen to crap and don't appreciate good music, which is harder and harder to find in modern time. So, we have to listen to the ARTISTS of the past. I am watching many other people, like you, reacting to the music I grew up with, like Metallica, Def Leppard, The Scorpions, Styx, etc. It is a pleasure to see young people, country people, and people who were only exposed to hip/hop or rap, honestly enjoying REAL MUSIC. There may be hope for the future, that ROCK AND ROLL will live on. Keep up the good works. You are educating the clueless.
I was four years old when that came out on MTV and that your reaction that you have to all of Metallica's music is the reaction I still get from listening to their music. I get goosebumps when they really start jamming and it just gives you energy like nothing else
Excellent reaction. How is it possible that everytime you react to a new song you're more beautiful than the the last reaction. Looking forward to your next choice. 🌹🌹🌹.
I think I just fell in love with you, haha. When you went on that little rant about the people that like pop music and the stupid lyrics. Why do people like that crap? It's so frustrating.
I hate pop music definitely. This song takes me back to camping out for metallica tickets having a bunch of beer cranking them out of our cassette stereo in our car, and trying to play metallica songs on our beat up guitars
One of the beat songs of Metallica, and the álbum, Máster of puppets it is just perfect, react to Damage inc. An insane song!! . I love your reactions!!!!
Best choice in the end is disposable heroes, leper messiah and defenitly Damage inc. ! So she has listened all master of puppets album , ending with the three more insane songs 🤟
Lov this group since i was12 an I'm in my 40s now. Still rockin with them. 1 day u should just hear the whole album. . greatness it is. Great reaction stay healthy gorgeous.
Hi, About what you say in the very end : I also think it's about investment, what I mean in that when you wanna to listen to anything except mainstream music, you gotta spend some time searching other music by yourself and then find out what you like and what you don't, and I guess many people do not wanna do that, as a result they listen and like whatever music industry tells em to
This is a beautiful song that I also listen to when I exercise. It’s kind of dark but very aggressive. I agree with you about pop music...it’s an abomination sometimes lol. Thank you for the review!
So man Times i've heard you put overlays over metalica parts and now over Iron maiden and wow what an improvement. Next time Metallica make a S&M kind of album i hope they give you a call!!😎
Quite a beautiful intro indeed. It's so refreshing to watch someone feel it on a deeper level. I agree that it almost feels like degradation to listen to some of the more popular music that is out there, which lacks substance or depth in any form. Growing up in a small town, my peers made fun of me for listening to metal, they literally thought it was the devil's music. Little did they realize how deep the lyrics were, if they would just listen. Little did I know that years later, I would have the pleasure of watching someone born in another part of the world react so beautifully to this music. Good music and art in general will eventually find its audience. Side note, I still hold out hope that Weird Al Yankovic will one day do his own version of this song, called Planetarium. #WeLiveInHope 😄
This magic intro made me fall in love with Metallica in 1985 being amazed for harmony and heavenly perfection ,also hit me forever strongly lyrics " welcome to where time stands still .." or " built my fear of what's out there ..." really impressed ! I'm very glad you get to this epic sacred masterpiece, for me higher than "Nothing else matters " and "" Fade to Black " ! I see you completly caught in this magic sound like me and its nice to see you like this..and unexpected in minute 8:39 you are engaged able to sing in Death Metal band ..very good aaargh, i like it 🤟! Anyway its a pity for those who listen just easy Pop ( except Britney a world apart 😅) dont know what they "re missing in life , such masterpiece like "Welcome Home Sanitarium " 🖤🤟
bingo..you hit the mark again..oh beguiling one...(loved your Mozart's aria in the beginning..sounded beautiful).. metal's complexity and beauty has never been appreciated her or in Russia..people prefer to stick with something simple and eye catching, rather than plumb the depths for deeper satisfaction..love you , as always..
You can't go wrong with any song on this album. This one and Kill Em All and Ride the Lightning are my favourites. Your friends are missing out on great music, too bad for them! 🎸🍁
I’m a few years younger than James Hetfield and yes authentic great music is rare and it is refreshing to know people your age are discovering great music.
Since you like Iron Maiden & Scorpions, you should give “Last in Line by DIO” a listen. Ronnie James Dio was a 5ft BEAST. He also sings on Heaven & Hell (Black Sabbath minus Ozzy). Heaven & Hell (title song) is a great song as well. Great vocals
Your english is getting better all the time! Also just a fun fact - I'm American and there is a Russian metal band from the 80's that I dig. They're called Ария. :)
@@IYOU NO WAY!? I assumed they were an underground band, but I suppose if they made it to me then they must not be so underground in Russia. Thanks for informing me. That's lame. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is one of those classic movies that everyone needs to experience. As far as the Metallica goes... lots of dissonance, "anxious" chords, they're intentionally setting a very haunting stage for the lyrics before James even sings them. Perfect clue into the 'mutiny' section with the little rising chord hits, the mental image from those is almost instantly "something bad's going on".
James Hetfield's voice circa 1986. I had the pleasure of hearing and buying Metallicas first three albums upon their original release. Imagine hearing that back then for the first time.

It’s coming up on three years since I’ve seen them in concert in San Diego... Check out some videos on You Tube from the show August 6, 2017.... A must see show if you’re a fan... probably my best concert I’ve been too, and being on the floor (30 feet from the stage) , made the experience so much better..... keep rocking 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶...
