Thanks!
Quando o Everest chegará ao Brasil ? Já aceita reserva para o 2.0 ?
I think the 2.0 biturbo is good enough for me😊
The Everest V6 is an understressed unit, compared to the V6 in the Amarok. Tuning will wake it up. The focus is on towing and overtaking acceleration, not outright performance.
White: 2.0TTD Black: V6 TD
Is avaliable with gasoline engine?
A sporty Everest with the Raptor engine would be cool. Perhaps not much of a market for it though?
Yeah, nah. With power figures close to that of a 200 series I’d expect far better performance from the v6. Underwhelming is the word of the day.
They’re identical to 100kph. PDRIVE TV figured a black 2017 one and it did 9.25 same as the Platinum. The Everest V6 is down 15kw and 50nm to the 200 but is also 265kg lighter
inhospitable o

Okay, so it’s slow. Didn’t think the Everest is a red light drag specialist but each to their own. Just towed a huge trailer across the country and back behind a 3.2lt Ranger. Did the job nicely but a bit more grunt would’ve been nice. Every driver of a 300 series we talked to said it was useless towing. Drank like a fish, handled terribly and was gutless. V6 Ford Rangers. Consensus was Brilliant. Maybe it’s just designed to have weight behind it? Bit like the 79 series. Gutless for what it is. Tows like crap until the mods are done. Travelled across the Simpson and Hay River Track with a 2014 3.0lt Range Rover sport. Ranger and Hilux in tow. We had to put the trailer behind the Range Rover half way through as that motor just pulled the trailer like it wasn’t there. Maybe the Everest is the same?
At around 7:16 - 7:17, it sounded like the driver already stomped on the accelerator pedal, but the car took ages to kick down! And generally speaking the overall performance is underwhelming from the V6 and the bi-turbo.. less powerful 4x4s are just as quick. The MU-X and Fortuner are faster than the bi-turbo, hell, the bi-turbo is barely quicker than the ancient 5spd Pajero. The V6 is also barely quicker than the MU-X and Fortuner. I'm surprised by these results. I hope Ford can redeem themselves with a more powerful engine (from the Ranger Raptor maybe?) or a powerful electrified setup (HEV or PHEV)
Yes, agree - there was a big delay during kick-down. Everest Raptor would be nice!
I thought I was the only one that noticed lol
So are we looking for drag cars here or what?
MUX is way lighter. Nothing saps power like weight
@@Sabumnim666 nope. But engine and transmission response is important when overtaking, and that massive kickdown delay is borderline dangerous. Plus with the hype surrounding these next-gen models, I'm sure we can all agree that the performance is underwhelming, especially when it's the sole V6 diesel in its class. It should have CRUSHED the competition but it didn't.
So the V6 Everest is slower than a bi turbo 2021 FX4
That 0 to 100 is shocking for such an expensive car
Interesting, why is the V6 so slow compared to its Ranger counterpart...
Could be as simple as not having many km on it. Or the press car ranger Ute is tuned on the sly.
We’re not sure exactly. This is the top spec Platinum - the heaviest variant. Maybe that’s the cause?
Wow, v6 power figures aren’t far off the 200 series but by Jeeze, it’s performance is, being blunt, underwhelming. That instrument panel…..wouldn’t wanna get behind the wheel with a hangover, it’d tip you over the edge for a chunder.
Yeah, nah ! What else have got for us? 🤣🤣🍺🍺🍺🍺
@@Cammo-vp1gl 🤣
Everest Raptor?
@@PDriveTV haha yeah now you’re talking. On that note I’d love to see the 3.3 twin turbo petrol from the Lexus 300, whatever they call it, in the HiLux. That’d get movement in the trouser departments 😳😬🤪🤣
Should of just installed the V6 raptor engine
Not a fan of the digital instrument cluster. I feel like I'm watching a screen on a video game call me old school. I guess felt somewhat underwhelming and didn't really watch the rest of it. Oh well, just my opinion and it doesn't really matter
That's pretty low turbo boost and displacement that doesn't reach 4k rpm
Probably to preserve the longevity of the crankshaft and rely on the closely spaced gear ratios of the 10R80. Win win.
They must be great, after all they are ' Car of the Year '.
Yeah they aren't even good
LOL I see what you did there...
CAR LOL
With the Death of Colorado 7 Seater SUV named Chevrolet Trailblazer Duramax that was discontinued and replaced it with 5 seater mini crossover, I hope This Ford Everest, the only American PPV could punish Chevy for leaving us dusted in Southeast Asia.
Those braking distance figures are just not acceptable in 2023, especially for a decent width rubber. Plenty of the competition have better brakes in comparison.
V6 diesel only managing roughly 9.5sec 0-100km/h ? & almost 7sec 60-110km/h
Pretty underwhelming "lacklustre" performance.
Yeah the braking distances are pretty poor compared with other vehicles we've tested on the same piece of tarmac. But keep in mind both of these models do have the optional all-terrain tyres fitted. Not trying to stick up for Ford here just saying, ATs usually increase stopping distances on all vehicles.
I wouldn't worry as most of these will be driven by morons who won't have time to brake.
@@MrFister84 Too true or soccer mums taking the kids to school & never see's the dirt 😂😂😂
The road tyres on the Ambiente are RUBBISH!
@@billybob1511 the whole car is rubbish, (Found On Rubbish Dump)
Honda crv 2.4 ivtec is way faster than those cars. Why like that v6 engine beaten up by inline 4 engine?😮
Land Rover users are familiar with this tdv6 engine, some experts in you tube claim it’s the worst diesel engine in terms of reliability. That 9,25 0-100 is not far better than the MUX and Fortuner…
Incorrect, this V6 is from the US Ford Powerstroke, the Territory 2.7 was a JLR V6 though.
I would suggest you stopped listening to those experts then... Basically clueless. The AJDV6 might not be a stallion of reliability but has been used for almost 2 decades now in a plethora of environments. There's thousands of units bordering the million kms. They had a configuration issue in the Defender 2.7 V6 TDI which caused an endemic failure. Other than that, it's a perfectly average diesel engine, in late iteration being quite bulletproof. The Citröen C6 version was wonderful to drive. Smooth, quiet and never out of breath.
Sante diesel still faster.
Why the V6 use launch control at desibel idle comparing, unfair
2.0 250 HP?
154kW / 209PS
I can climb Everest quicker than that!
V6 not a good match with the 10speed.
poor performance for both.
The poor people's alternative to everything.
Anyday clear of the overrated crappy Prado.
my 04 toyota mark x is faster than these shitboxes lol
Toyota's are slugs
No it isn't
Stupid people comparing Toyota Mark to a Ford Everest
