Last run with Dm3 locomotive on the “Malmbanan”, The Swedish Iron Ore Line

Since The Malmbanan turns 120 years old and for the last time before a new signal system (ERMTS) is put into use on the “Malmbanan”, The Swedish Iron Ore Line
Two classic ore trains were run during the first weekend in July 2022 between Kiruna and Vassijaure.
With the last series Steam locomotive that operated the line before it was electrified in 1914/15 and the electric three-part locomotive Dm3 which operated the line between the 60s and 2013

The Dm3 1246-1248-1248 in the video was the last built Dm3 from 1970 with about 10,000 HP and 273 tons of locomotives and for this trip 40 Loaded iron ore wagons with a total weight of 4554 tons
De sista Dm3 Malmtågen på Malmbanan Järnvägsmuseet och LKAB. Anordnade första helgen i Juli 2022 en körning i Midnattssol längs Malmbanan En sista gång innan ERMTS instaleras på banan men även för att Malmbanan fyller 120 år
Så det kördes med både den sista Ångloks serien (R-Lok ) som trafikerade banan innan de elektrifierades 1914 till lika Sveriges starkaste Ånglok
Men även med Loken som drog malmvagnar på banan från 60-talet till 2013 då även det sista ersattes av de kraftigare Iore loken
