Hair dryer. Heat the barrel end up. When you get them apart, chalk on the connection. White weight lifting or pool cue chalk.

Thanks @gypsydavie I only knew about the freeze method which had worked for me before, but I'll try your recommendation tomorrow. Stay tuned.

If it's like any stuck nut or bolt you don't want to use cold use heat. Cold will shrink them together heat will loosen them up. Try using a lighter heat it up a little them put some oil on the heat will suck the oil in don't know but it works on stuck bolts.

I’m sure you have it taken care of by now but I’d suggest pb blaster

Thank you. I actually was using PB blaster and a few other even better lubricants. For this rod I have a separate video of me getting it unstuck using heat. This doesn't always work. It happened again and I tried heat and melted the rod (oops). Thank you for your concern and advice.

Be careful with heating it! I had another okuma stick and heated it to much and it broke. If you heat it, be careful. It can work.

Oh, copy. I used the freeze method a few times and it worked. When it didn't, someone suggested the heat method and it worked. I guess both methods can work, but the heat method is cheaper since freeze spray costs about $30. One benefit to freezing is that you probably won't break it. I recommend you try both methods until one works, but just be careful with too much heat. Good luck. @@DiarioCarnivoro

@@righteousriverfishinginoregon7 I've just tried the heat method, but it doesn't work at all. I might have to try with the freezing cold, but I think it's not going to work either, since it is really really stuck in. I think the only possibility for me to do it would be to get the help of at least 3-4 people pulling together 🤣 There's no way a single person could ever move that thing. Why do the manufacturers make the rods this way?!
