ok. I'm assuming that most of us who watched this are mostly drummers. I'm sure that each one of us is the best, ( big egos seem to come naturally) or was the best at some point in our lives. We fail to understand, unfortunately, that we're all on different levels though. I thought I was great in h.s., then I got to Pitt. I soon found out that I wasn't really shit. Well, after some hard work and awesome crew brothers, I got pretty damn good. I thought we were the best drumline around. I didn't have to look far to see that IUP, WVU, and a few others were rocking real steady. looked further and saw even better. then phantom, crossmen, on and on. did i mention Swiss Top Secret? Damn y'all, there's a lot of us out there. There's always someone out there better than you. Point is? Why the hell do we hate on each other. we're all out there doing the best we can with what ever ability, teaching, material, exposure, equipment and time that we have. DRUMMERS UNITE! Lets support one another. Help each other out. when I hear really good drumming, it challenges me to be better. It's great to want to be the best. But once you know that you are the best, your ego has surpassed your abilities, and that is when you start sucking.
I agree 100%, my team is barely starting and all I want to do is improve. I never say that I am the best because I am still a beginner. Though I try to let my team improve and see where our limit in performing takes us and surpass it. Either way we never say we are the best because there are people that will always be 1 step ahead of you in life
Thank you for posting this comment, I agree with it 100% most drummers let their egos run how they play and not skills or anything. The older we get the more we realize it's not our skills but our egos that make people not like us sometimes. Over time we realize "I'm not actually the best" were always learning no matter what even if we think we got something down 100% we still have more to learn and ice we realize that we can be so much better.

I have no idea who came up with that, this cadence was here when I got to the snare line and it's still there. I've heard the same thing you just said (with different names for the cadence itself) from several people from all over the US, so I'm assuming its played the same everywhere, just with different names.

As a drummer, I see this as an absolute win.
I really like how good this sounds with the slower tempo. It reminds me of my old band director always telling our drumline to slow it down.
Pay attention to visuals such as cascading waves, stick heights, and tights forms. Also really like the boomerang scale solo for the basses.
