Let's not underestimate the power of an overactive imagination. Even if he had been good looking, it would have still been a letdown for a lot of folks because no real person can compete with some imagined ideal.
well some people can its just very rare and unlikely
True...it's like what he said from his 1st Anthony Padilla interview. Even if he looks like a norse god, some people will still say something about it.
Reminds me of DanPlan too. People (young teen girls really) obsessed over Stephen cuz of his voice and persona. Then when DanPlan fell apart and Stephen started making his own content those same fangirls were disappointed that his visuals didn't match their expectations and his persona was just that... an act.
exactly people imagine some amazing anime boy from their dreams because they want that. I did see the picture accidentally because I had googled corpse husband to try find fanart and it was all over the top of the image tab. He's or ugly spoiler alert, he's just not a supermodel anime boy thing because it's not natural he's decent attractive he's not ugly at all but he's a "let down" because he's not a real life version of his drawing.
It could have gone like, "He's okay, but not what I expected :/". I don't know, people are so mean.
It sucks that nobody can respect a faceless celebrities privacy by just leaving them alone, who cares what they look like, as long as they have good content.
i mean...how much respect do you expect to see from the specific kind of people that would go to such great lengths to doxx someone, all just to ruin the illusion of attractiveness that that person partly built up themselves?
I would agree with this comment if corpse didn't benefit from creating a attractive persona in order to gain popularity. It comes out as dishonest.

Exactly, if it is him then he was harrassed for having a normal face! And what if the person in the photo ends up being some random kid, imagine how must they feel to be bullied so horribly? If it's an old photo of corpse, that's just as bad because people are bullying an old version of himself before he had moments of self harm and more medical issues, and this hate might make his issues much worse... And having scrolled past the photo on twitter, I don't think he even looks bad? I wouldn't think twice if I scrolled past it on any social media platform because there's nothing wrong with it. Even if he turned out looking particularly disfigured by surgeries and etc, it still wouldn't give anyone the right to judge, and def no right to bully. This whole situation is disgusting...
All this hate and bullying towards corpse backed up just by "oh well he got all the girls simping for him now look at him " is really disgusting to me.. You don't need to hate on anyone just to feel good about yourself.
@Atutre dude he intentionally hid his face because he's insecure about his face.
@Peanut Butter played in to what? He showed his hand because that's the feature he's less insecure about. He never said he's attractive, he is just a guy who use his deep voice for a living

But from his interview with Anthony Padilla you could see that he wasn't very tall and carried extra weight so I figured he wouldn't have very sharp features. I feel bad for him. I hope he will not let negative comments get to under his skin and carry on doing what he loves.

It's sad that people aren't even allowed to express themselves sexually when they're not conventionally attractive because then it's considered cringe aka "incongruent"
Yes exactly!!! First of all if it is him, he is not ugly at all, rather cute (but he was minor so it's erk to say..) And people are only basing attractiveness on the visual, are largely influenced by the fake perfection we see on social networks, and forget that other things are equally important. And that's definitely the case for him, his voice, his personnality, his R-rated songs haha, even his awkwardness sometimes made people interested in him
It really is sad, people really expect him to be a god huh, that's so weird, some people said that he brought this to himself, one of the example is his internet anime persona (the one with the mask) but it's literally called "internet persona" for a reason, I also have an internet persona, I literally look so different from the internet persona. I've never enjoy watching corpse video (I guess it's not for me) but I felt really bad after this doxxing situation, why is it so easy to doxx someone :( there have been so many doxxing drama, it's honestly so scary and tragic
Those are my thoughts as well. Average and below average people are shamed for doing anything, dear God.
This is hypocritical of you to say..you wouldn't fuck someone you don't find attractive soo...
@@damaramohammed It really isn't hypocritical since different people find different people attractive.
But I don’t get why people are acting like this guy in the pics is ugly??? I accidentally came across them and he’s average good looking? What was the person doxing him trying to prove? Like…? He looks exactly what I thought he would. And in any case he clearly said many times he doesn’t add up to his voice. Let’s be real, no one can add up to that voice. His voice is god-tier. People are ridiculous.
Right? i just saw the person and he’s not even ugly. I’m 100% sure he looks better than most of the ppl calling him ugly which is honestly funny, to see how insecure you have to be to go out of your way and make fun of someone bc of how they look. What is actually concerning is the fact that he is a real person with the same problems any young adult has, right know he is probably trying to move out of his place probably breaking a lease agreement which he is most likely paying a huge fee from that. And looking where to stay in the meantime. He is probably already getting stalked by ppl trying to go to his place just to see his face and if I was in that same position I would be totally freaking out because you don’t really know what sick fvcker could show up at your door and who knows what. I’m so sorry for him, nobody who has done nothing wrong deserves this.
@@ignoreme1141 no? I meant that he’s just as attractive as any other good looking person. The person in the picture is in no way ugly by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone’s behavior is what is super ugly.
@@Nanitamochi yeah it’s really sad if it’s him and it’s really sad if it isn’t. People are just so ugly and badly behaved if they can hide behind a screen. I bet they aren’t models. Lol These trolls are all people who have been super jealous of Corpse for a long time and finally have an opportunity to try to be ugly about him. Good try, I guess since like I said the guy is actually really cute. lol
the pictures leaked are also unflattering pics of him, which means that its not even guaranteed to look that good compared to personally taking pictures of urself
It’s also really hard to capture your true appearance and authenticity of facial expression in one picture. If I had to choose which photo I wanted the entire world to judge me on, it would take me ages to be able to pick. Corpse didn’t even get to pick; I’m sure there were better photos of him to choose from. We also never got to see what his face looks like when he talks, or how his expressions match his personality. I feel like those things are very attractive in people. We can’t see his personality in his appearance because the two of them are disconnected, but I feel like if I were able to see even just a short clip of him talking, it would all click.
Honestly, I wish the photo had never been dug up in the first place, though :((
If the picture is real, he's not even ugly, he's regular looking. If it's not real and just a random picture of a random person. I hope they don't encounter all these nasty people who probably are all normal looking like him making vile comments like that.
If it isnt him then they're just bullying that poor person...

I think the biggest thing about Corpse's face reveal that makes me feel disgusted is (besides the extreme stalking) the insults about appearance. For a generation that's supposedly accepting of everyone, so many people are bashing HOW HE LOOKS. That is not okay.
I don't have Twitter so I was not informed about any of this but I hope his friends and ACTUAL fans have been supporting him.
A generation that is heavily reliant on filters and perfect looks on the socials is not an all accepting generation 😬

Scratch that, anything is better than twitter apart from tumblr. Tumblr and twitter are literally the same thing but with the same names. Facebook is a mixed bag of good and bad. Some of it is good and, some of it is questionable. Always a gamble with facebook. Reddit is fucking golden. Go reddit.)
@@quillmorningstar8713 I once joined stan twitter to interact with fans of the same artists as me. Been a fan since the horror stories. I'm not even going to search for his face reveal because that's just disrespectful on so many levels. Im just listening to this without looking at the video too. I don't pity him, I empathize with his anxiety, acid reflux disease, sexualization, and constantly having to live up to high expectations unintentionally. I seriously wish the best for him and if he were to just stop being a content creator all together, I'd hope he'd continue to live his life peacefully.

I can't imagine how stressful it must be to have your face unwillingly broadcasted all over the internet, and people feeling entitled to giving their critique, going as far as being mad at him for their own disappointment about the way he looks. Those fanarts of him really didn't help though.

How many men on youtube who stream and play games look like models? What do people expect from a normal dude?
Most of those dude streamers didn't deliberately create and encourage a fantasy around themselves. They didn't incessantly sexualize themselves in this specific way corpse did. They didn't outright bait a young hormonal fanbase and let them run wild with fantasies while deeply enjoying it and encouraging it every step of the way.
They expect them all to be Henry cavills
@@taiefmiah That's so dismissive and shitty. Literally no one expects random dude streamers to be supermodels. Men aren't any sort of victims in this. The standards for male looks and grooming are already low enough. It was "expected" of Corpse because he heavily implied it and leaned into it hard.
@@Maialeen didn't really heavily imply anything.
It was just fantasy and people took that content. He was always the voice to a fantasy character whether you like it or not.
@@Maialeen also the irony is lost on you if you are calling my comments dismissive and shitty whilst you write what you do .
Anyone who makes content anonymously tends not to be good looking, that's why the idea of being able to express yourself without your looks having an impact on how people perceive you is so appealing to anonymous creators. They'll have been told plenty of times that they're not attractive so obviously their first instinct is to not show their face but once they get popular people start demanding it. When people come online and choose not to show their face it's because they're trying to avoid being judged for their appearance like this situation right now
There are other reasons besides insecurity about looks, like privacy. Something he has mentioned he would like to keep, to keep his life outside the internet as normal as possible.
That's not true at all. I would say I'm confident in my apparence yet if I was to ever be on internet it would be as anonymously as possible.
Fake name, no picture, no personal informations about myself or my entourage.
Can you imagine all the stress that having even a slight amount of fame can bring into your life ? Being a role model, having fake people trying to leech you off, risking to get cancelled and get your life ruined anytime for anything, etc...
Even if you can handle stress quite efficiently, what about the "normal" moments of just being unknown in your hometown with your family at a restaurant, these moments will be less and less frequents and even when they occur people look at you differently because of "fame".
Also most people that do content creation are egotistic, full of themselves, narcissistic because of the reward they get from engagement so I don't think insecurities is a big deal for them.
@@charlesm.2604 Agreed. Its not really about attraction. I would hate to be famous. You have to alway watch out who sees you and you have to act according to it. People need to stop thinking with their ovaries and should think with their brains instead.
I think he has said that he doesn't like the way he look (I'm not quite sure about it). Not really a huge fan of corpse but this is straight up creepy. I've always related to corpse hating having to show their own face outside, its a terrible feeling and I've always admired him for staying strong despite the pressure of a having huge amount people wanting to know what he looks like always looming over him, so although I do think he's been expecting this its really sad to see
Other than that though , he actually looks fine?? I don't know how people expect someone with mobility issues to be ripped with a perfectly chiseled face like a greek god or smth.
It also doesn't change the fact that he has a very warm personality, I actually find it just fitting on his appearance. Based on his style on Anthony's interview I bet he looks better rn too, I'm pretty sure no one looks good on old photos tagged by their relatives anyways.
F*ck. Ppl need to realize it’s not important if the dude is him or not or if he’s hot or not, this whole thing has already hurt a person and he’s someone’s beloved friend, family member and a human being with feelings just like everybody else..
I’m really worried for Corpse and hope he is surrounded by his friends now. Dude’s already had agoraphobia, anxiety, self harm behaviors before the doxxing happened. I can’t imagine what he is going through now with more pressure on him due to it... These ppl who doxxed anyone are repulsive and are literally stalkers. The internet was supposed to connect ppl, not to fking destroy and hurt ppl smfh.
tbh he was basically asking to get doxxed with all that thirst traps and the amount of times he milked tf out of his voice but no innocent person deserves to be doxxed
Stop justifying shit like this.
The photo everyone seems to be bringing up the most is literally from 2010. Corpse would be like, 13 or 14 at the time. The more recent photos from 2017-2018 look more like how he described himself(he would be around 18 or 19 at the time). In both photos he looks perfectly fine, but the fact he got doxxed for no reason is sickening.
No way it was really revealed like this? That sucks
@KY5 [10th Main Account] trying to make others feel bad is not the best way to get attention. Maybe go annoy your parents again and give them more reasons not to love you
To be very blunt, it's kind of crazy to me that fans of these faceless youtubers choose to believe they're insanely attractive, because... If they were insanely attractive, they'd show their face. It would benefit their careers, and these personas ARE careers. There's no way they wouldn't use an attractive face to their advantage, it just wouldn't make sense.
THIS, imo Corpse is at least somewhat to blame for the backlash he receives, his image is higly sexualized and if he knew that people would be disappointed by his real face maybe creating a whole brand around a sexy mysterious anime e-boy wasn't the right choice.
@@Spielmaldingens idk if I'm even blaming corpse husband for whatever persona he was trying to portray, it's more on the fans for not thinking realistically... It sounds dumb, but it's almost like being mad at daft punk for not really being robots. They're curating a fantasy image, you know what I mean? Think for longer than a minute and you will realize it's not real and it's silly to expect it to be, and unreasonable to be mad when you're wrong.
i mean, you could be insanely attractive and still be insecure. take megan fox for example. she has said multiple times how she used to hate the way she looks, at one point she stopped going out and was scared to be seen in public.
content creators may also choose to be faceless for the sake of their privacy or separating the persona from themselves, so they can be sort of like, 2 different people. it's not always depending on whether or not they're attractive enough to show their face on the internet and gain profit from it. but i do agree that it's absurd how people would have this idea of how faceless content creators should look like based off their persona/personality. and honestly i'm really worried of how corpse is dealing with all of this :(
@@Gretaisworking Corpse was honest that fans would get disappointed if he knew how he looks.. so.. I don't blame corpse since he was honest.
While I agree with you I must argue that people would like privacy. Plus I also believe that since they're faceless they get more clout
People also need to realize that those pictures are from when he was 15. We all go through the awkward teen stage, and he is 24 now and fully developed. People need to realize that they’re judging a 15 year old boy going through puberty
Very good video. I would argue Corpse's fanbase isn't under the age of 16 though, unlike Dream's though.
I would say a good percentage is. Especially seeing how immature and judgmental a lot of people have been about his looks. But there are some really immature and judgmental grown ass adults out there too to be fair

I really really feel for him. I wouldn’t be able to handle the pressure he has on him right now. The image that has been created based on fan art, music lyrics, his voice, merch, etc, is gonna really come back and bite him in the ass. I can see how much damage this can do to a person. As a fan, I love his personality, content, and everything in between, and it makes me really sad that people choose to focus on what we don’t know about him. Such as something as insignificant as what he looks like, instead of what matters, which is his content and music, stuff like that. I hope one day he gets peace of mind and his anxiety about fans expectations die down.

First of all they should have respected him.... secondly he's an attractive person due to his sweet personality anyone bullying him needs to back off and leave this man alone
people don’t understand how easy it is to figure out who people are. Some guy started being obnoxious when I was chatting on Reddit and I just looked up his u/ and found a defunct (but still listed) Instagram and from there found the real estate company he works for (and cross-referenced that with his profile).

I just hope Corpse is alright. The silence is deafening and that scares me.
I feel corpse deeply, I haven’t seen his face reveal yet. I can’t imagine how the guy is feeling right now and I hope he is ok.
I only watched a little bit of Corpse and thought his was a pretty chill guy and the way he was always so anxious about his identity made me hope that it wouldn't, ever be found out? Like the community would be better and let him share it in his own time so seeing this video recommended was a huge shock. I haven't followed much of what has been happening but this.. just makes me so sad for him.
how could they do this to someone who has time and time again proclaimed he wasnt handsome, who hates looking at themselves so much that they got all the mirrors in their apartment out, who cuts their face before a stream, who has agoraphobia and who is always afraid they might leak their face everytime their screen turns black during stream? why are people so fucking cruel?
I appreciate you covering this logically and honestly, and for not showing his face. I’m not a fan but I feel bad for the guy for having his privacy violated.
He built his brand on his voice, then fueled a perception of himself to his impressionable fans, through his lyrics, hand thirst traps (...), and by saying some of his fanart looked so close to reality it scared him. Through that he also fed his haters' need to know what he looks like. The backlash he is getting is wack tho, but you get death threats for just breathing nowadays so 🤷
@KY5 [10th Main Account] attacking someone's looks speaks more about yourself than the person you are trying to insult.
OP, he has talked so many times about how insecure he is about his looks and how his face is not what people expect it to be, among many other things.
Even if he didn't "feed" his fans, they would still have envisioned him as beyond a Greek good.
Also, there is so much fanart out there. He probably did see some that looked himself.
Not to mention, the picture might not be him. Or might be a very old picture. 🤷🏻♂️
@@idislikemints True. It has been confirmed that it's him, although one picture is a bit old. He doesn't even look back I don't get the hate. Just sad.

i've been bullied for my looks and been obsessed with them ever since. i think it's great that with the internet anyone can show their personality and skills without showing their appearance. we are seeing much more variety and getting better content than what we would get if only "good-looking" people were allowed to make content. i know nothing about corpse but it sucks that his privacy wasn't respected. i'm not gonna look up that pic/pics.

i have been a fan of utaite, you know, japanese people in niconicodouga (or youtube) who covers vocaloid songs. many of them are FACELESS but little to no fans tried to doxx them or have any expectations about their faces. why? because we admire their talent, their singing skills, and all that. i am a huge fan of this utaite, Hanatan, i have been her fan since i was 9 (i am 21 now). and i have never, ever, seen her face and im ok with it.
so please, if you are a fan of faceless content creator, dont expect anything about their visuals. adore them for their personality and skills, like theres a reason why they dont show their faces. they want to be adored anonymously, whats so hard about that?
same! i also immediately thought of ''faceless'' vocaloid singers. it really suprises me how no one seems to care about their appareance, at least thats how i experienced it. the only thing that i could think of which explains that is that society is kinda different in japan or something
I think it's like Dream incident all over again, people doxxed him and shame him based on the look on that photo. Turns out it wasn't actually him. But the way they mock Dream due to the guy in the picture not being "attractive" disgusts me. Again, I don't think they really found out who Corpse is, but this behaviour from people makes me sick.

I feel like you can't judge people's appearances based on their voice. I've worked online for 5 month and I finally met the team I was working with in person for the first time last week. None of them looked like how I perceived them to look.
So dudes name is “Corpse Husband” wtf did you expect?!??😂 Who cares what he looks like as long as his fans like his content idgaf lol It’s sad people can’t just respect privacy nowadays.
Why is it so hard for most people nowadays to respect other's wish? Corpse wants to be a faceless youtuber, so just let the man be. Those who criticized his look are never a real fan to begin with.
This is why the female mind can be so toxic. If the guy is hot the “unwanted” sexual comments are ok and wanted but if the guy is slightly the hints to ugly all of a sudden women are not ok with it. It’s toxic, demeaning, and hypocritical. With the fat acceptance movement women are calling for loving everyone for all body types including obese and putting the words fatphobic behind any guy who doesn’t like you because of your weight. (Mostly for the girls on the heavier side) like?? As a women you make me hate my own gender ._. How tf? So what he doesn’t have pale moon skin, or soft black curly hair, or is on the heavier side? :/ it’s called an OC, “love me at all sizes” but if a guy doesn’t have a Greek god like chin, 6 pack abs, dreamy eyes, and 6.9 feet tall he isn’t worth it. Like it seems most women these days are putting the same expiations on men that we all fought against.

whoever the kid in the pics is, whether they're corpse or not are perfectly fine looking, and Id argue in normal circumstances (IE not a built up face reveal) a wide swath of folks would probably find them very attractive. When it comes to perception of a person's physical attractiveness its also largely dependent on their charisma, humor and charm. Sean Connery was ranked as one of the hottest men on the planet for a really long time even into his 60's and 70's. Physically though, hes pretty average looking. what he did have was public attention by virtue of him being in some films, a unique voice, charisma and charm...which translated to the perception of epic hotness at the time. same can be said for a large quantity of supposed "heart throbs." Sure there is a percieved standard of physical beauty that some meet but theres also a lot of quirky looking folk that reach that pinnacle too. for every Ryan Reynolds there is also an Adam Driver. for every Brad Pitt a Benedict Cumberbatch.
Because why there's high expectations, he sell himself as shy Introverted hot person (by hot i mean he has curly short hair in every fan art and his internet persona) so people are expected he looked like his internet persona, that's why
Apologies for being off-topic, but do you think you can create a future video regarding jewelry and how it impacts your attractiveness, and how choosing the right jewelry can be beneficial? Awesome content as always!
I think this reaction from fans and non-fans alike was expected. He marketed his physical appearance. as a blank canvas for people to draw on, and when their fantasies weren't met, they lashed out. While I've honestly never been involved with Corpse, I feel kind of bad for the guy. But like I said, he marketed himself as a fantasy, so it's expected for childish folks to lash out not because of the fact that he got doxxed but because of the fact that to their standards, he did not fulfill their fantasies
I honestly just don't know why people were so surprised by how awkward he looks in the doxxed picture, like, it perfectly matches his personality so...
I agree. It wouldn't surprise me if it's actually him cause it lowkey looks like it could be him + the pic is like 10 years old.
Oh damn! He must be devastated :"(
How dare they!!!
sorry to say but he should’ve stayed as a creepypasta youtuber, and although he would’ve still somehow got popular from that, 90% of his audience wouldn’t be a bunch of creepy 14 year old fangirls that came from among us.
sadly that’s just the reality of it, the more popular u get the more u have ppl watching u 24/7, this was bound to happen
I loved his creepypasta videos! Really loved when he read out people's true stories too!
There's no such thing as being ugly. We just live in a judgemental society.
Ok, there *is* a thing called being ugly. But it's not this picture of Corpse from like, 5 years ago.
Yeah? Lol
Rm
Well, there IS such a thing as being not attractive. To say there isn't is... naive. In the photo, he looks like a 4/10. It looks like a shit picture though and literally who in the world has ever looked good in a photo by their grandparents? Girls have called me "so hot" before but if I could show them the pictures my mom took of me they would wonder if it's a different person. I'm not being dramatic on some days I look like the ugliest mf alive. Tidying up, good angles and actually smiling makes a massive difference.
Sadly it does lol
I had no idea his face was leaked… I feel so bad. He’s probably really upset right now…
I feel terrible for him! He looks like a normal guy to me. I can't believe how rude people are being. (Even if it isn't him.)
Same, it's ridiculous to expect him to have a supermodel face when maybe like 0,5% or less of the population do
Honestly I don't think he's that bad looking I actually think he's kinda cute. His amazing personality and REALLY hot voice makes him more attractive, but it all comes down to personality and he's got that
Whether its him or not, the person in the photo looks just fine, just a normal dude. The only reason people are THIS harsh on him is because of the high standards they made themselves based on his voice, and its gross to have such high standards for someone and bash them when they dont fit it despite never having claimed theyre handsome in the first place. Doxxing a person is wrong in the first place but the backlash he got because of this unwanted (alleged) face reveal makes it even more painful to watch
I still find Corpse attractive.
I commented on a video about Corpse's insecurity of his features, all I said was "I hope he keeps whatever he wishes to keep private, private. As long as he keeps creating content and feels safer keeping his identity secret then good." And a person got mad and said his face was already leaked, I was deeply disappointed and bothered how mad that person was at my comment about hoping he can keep his identity a secret as long as he wants.
I want to write this to clear any misunderstandings that might happen about preconceptions and expectations, because I just know there'll always be that one confused person that will start a fight on the comments for not understanding the terms well enough:
Imagining Corpse being handsome because of his voice isn't bad, in fact, it's only human; we judge people we don't know based on superficial things such as appearance, voice, way of speaking, gaze, posture, and others to make up for the things we don't know yet almost all the time. This is a similar case; his voice sounds attractive, and we instantly think he looks attractive, which doesn't make sense, but really, think about all the things of our behavior that don't, it's pretty normal in us, and that's alright; this is what we'd call a preconception, prejudice, or prejudgement- keeping that result of your own imagination and deeming it as final, or wishing too strongly it'll come true, however, is another completely different thing; that is an expectation. Making preconceptions to make up for missing information, or just for the pleasure of imagination is fine, as long as you're open to other possibilities and to adapt to whatever that might be different from what you initially thought once you find out the real information. The problem here are those who cling way too tightly to their imagination, not their imagination itself.
I've been a follower and fan of his since day one, I loved his story reading and as an actual fan I'm a fan because of his talent's not his voice which is just a plus. The "leaked" pic isn't even him, he has voiced his dislike of how people have spoken about people's reactions to how nasty they got without actual prof.
Not only that but people expect him look like a real life being of his avatar/pic.
The thing is, he actually using avatar that actually have a human face, if he uses pony, heck even like dream, I personally wouldnt be so curious
Corpse was right about everyone and its breaking my heart
Istg, I see some comments saying “well, he shouldn’t be online if he doesn’t want to show his face”, etc is real BS. He can make content without showing his face. Hell, there are a lot of creators like Corpse. The real problem is the ‘fans’. They always crossed boundaries to satisfy their needs and not to mention, these are the same fans who bullies him for his looks. If the creator doesn’t want to show their face, then leave them be.
