Got a tip. On the front steer installation, mount the ring before the brake calipers. This way if you have to replace the pads, you won’t have to remove the ring to remove the calipers. The flexible brake line will be on the outside of the ring instead of inside.
Sometimes a mechanic can only go so far... Buy the kit yourself and just pay someone to install it.. It helps if you got a friend who does this kind of shit.
Looks great. I wouldn't have chose that location for the junction box however, on a rainy day that could get wet and short the system. And the rings were too small in my opinion, I would've opted for bigger rings to center it around the brake rotors...those big caliper housings on the front wheels wouldn't allow the front rings to be centered.
The wheel rings should not make contact with the brakes or any moving parts. Any heat that the brakes may give off will not be hot enough to affect the wheel rings.
@@emtpete010 best advice search a body shop or custom wheel shop, check their reviews and ask them if they do this type of install. You want someone who know because as you get these installed you will need your breaks pumped too since you had to remove the break
Well, you can look up each part individually. Like look up "how to change rotors on a (your car)". Theyre mostly all the same for any car, and its seems daunting at first but is really easy. ChrisFix does videos with awesome camera angles and tailored to people whove never done it before. His YT channel is where i learned everything on cars
Yes, you would need to connect the power wire to a turn signal 12-volt source. If you do this tho you will not be able to turn the kit on when the turn signal is off.
I don't have a track car, but I do have a friend with a suped up 350z with some ceramic pads on, and he managed to burnout most of one of his led rings, but whether that was due to the questionable quality of the product he had or if that can be expected from this mod in general has yet to be determined.
Affect. yes. it requires power, therefore, it will consume power from the battery. I doubt it will adversely AFFECT the factory alternator or battery, as the current draw is low.
Puss In Boots I did this on my KW and my trailer too. I did these neon lighting when I was in college in the 90s sold lots these lights to my friends and other guys and gals who wanted to look kool. I can’t believe it’s barely coming out. My friends were telling me about these when they saw on people’s cars.
I like the ideal. I got lights on my motorcycle. However, my question is can you do this too a motorcycle🤔 Side note; when I pop wheelies they can see the wheel up in the air in the dark😁
Why do you install the front differently from the back? It seems to make more sense to install all wheel lights in the method of the rear wheels. The front ones look like you have to do extra work.
that is a lot of work for a few show points, but if it means edging out the competition to get on the podium, then I guess it's worth it...yes? I guess this it why ALL the lifted trucks just go for "rock lights" on their dirt-free, lifted truck on 22s and 40-series off-road tires.
Any mechanic should know how to install it. It's not that mechanically hard. I had a mechanic install mine and he charged me $50 he said it wasn't hard at all
Can you guys do this on a Zero motorcycle? the reason I ask is because these are an all electric motorcycle that Im planning on getting in the near future and Im not sure if maybe the installation is different from other bikes you've done
The size wheel ring that is needed does not depend on the size of your wheels. You will need to measure the diameter of your vehicles brakes and rotors to determine which size wheel ring you will need. Feel free to contact our customer support and we will be able to help you figure out exactly what you need for your vehicle.
Well it depends, if you use blue your motor runs cooler but slower. Red goes faster but hotter. Green is fuel efficient but it'll cost performance. If you use all three you'll see a significant increase or you might have a lemon, who knows
Your specific application may be different but we used the rivets because of how close the rotor was to the dust plate. A nut and bolt would make contact with the rotor.

How do the wires not get tanhled during the rotation of the wheel? I see both wires attached to the LEDs, but how do you ensure it doesn't become twisted with the rotation?
The lights are mounted to the dust plate and not the actual wheel. The dust plate does not spin. Similar to the way your brake calipers are able to sit there without the lines getting twisted.
2 questions 1st) is the only way to turn them on and off is through the box mounted in glove box. No app or remote? 2nd) why wouldn't u just hook positive and negative straight to the battery? Seems kind of pointless to run all the wires inside when u went right past the battery.
You need to measure the diameter of your brakes. You can find the sizing guide on the product page: www.ledunderbody.com/4pc-million-color-led-wheel-ring-light-kit/
The wheel where to big for my car and I can’t return them anymore. Could I take the lights off from the wheel that it comes with and use it as an underbody kit? Would the wiring be the same?
We don't recommend that. But, if your product is out of warranty (1 year from date of purchase) then you're welcome to do whatever you want with your product.

I'm wondering why they didn't just install all the wheels in similar fashion as the rear wheels.

Wondering why rivets on the front, but screws on the back?
We couldn't use the screws in the front because they would contact the rotor.

Why do you install the front differently from the back? It seems to make more sense to install all wheel lights in the method of the rear wheels. The front ones look like you have to do extra work.
The brake calipers for the back wheels are smaller than the front. Therefore, the wheel ring was able to be installed without removing it.
