I use to sell and install the neons back in the 90's. LED's are just as arduous, but a lot brighter and easier on the cars electronics. Need to get me one of these sets.
Anyone following this installation guide please add the following precautions, use split loom on all wires to help protect them and for a cleaner factory look. Never, never, ever randomly probe wires in any car 2005 and up with a test light use a digital multimeter. If using 3M t-type wire taps use insulated connectors it actually insures the t-tap will not come open. Last but not least try to mount control boxes in the cabin area.
IMPORTANT TIP for longevity of the car. This applies to underbody LEDs and any other similar work. If you drill, file, sand, cut, or do whatever to your car that exposes bare metal, spray some paint or primer on that bare metal. A cars undercarriage is covered in paint/underbody protection to protect the metal from water, salt, and other substances that cause rust. Depending on your local climate, a small hole with bare metal edges will cause dramatic rust damage within a year or two.
be VERY careful when drilling holes 1> DON'T drill into metal work, otherwise your gonna get rust, try another method 2> Make sure where your drilling is not going to drill into anything like existing cables or pipes
I had to get creative getting this installed on my 2021 Kia K5. Modified the side clips to bolt into existing hardware. Have to figure out how to get the rear tube up higher. Hi Can anyone help me how to fix my lights i bought them 2months ago and now they won turn on the control box light flashes red how can I fix it pleasd
What 12V source did you use exactly? I’m installing these and I’m worried if I connect it like you did it’ll keep dragging power from my battery. Could you help on how to exactly wire it?
It does not matter where you connect it, there will always be a slight draw on the battery. Not enough to worry about unless the vehicle is going to sit for an extended period of time. Meaning weeks or months, not a few days.
How do I connect so when the car is turned off so will the lights.so this way doesn’t drain the battery if they ever got turned on by accident and not knowing.
The direction of the front and rear tubes does not matter. You just need to make sure the side tubes, the wire side is towards the rear of the vehicle.
Woaaaahhhhh what is that intro song?! And if someone wanted to Bug you and connect their phone to your control box would it knock your phone off? That would be a little frustrating.
The first phone to connect to the control box becomes the primary phone so no, if someone else tried to connect to the control box it will not kick the primary phone off.
Will a single color tube work with this control box? (i know that if it does it will only work static as a single color but will it light up with this kit?)
If you plug a single color tube into the multi-color control box, the tube will only light up when that specific color is selected. When any other color is selected, it will not light up.

Once your phone has been paired, there should be no issues connecting to it whenever you open the LEDGlow app. Contact our customer support and describe the issue to them. They will have more questions about where exactly the control box is mounted.
Super old comment but, did you ever find a good installer in Tampa? I bought a mustang gt just north of Tampa that already had this installed but they are starting to fail. Thank you!
The courtesy wire, when connected, will turn the kit completely white when the vehicle's doors are opened and then will either turn off or turn back to your previous color when the door is closed.
Or you could just use a fuse tap aka "add-circuit" And use it in your fuse box in the front of the car, and add in additional fuse for your power wire, safe and simple
Instead of the mounting brackets could i used 15lb double sided tape? Don't want to drill into the car. Also my battery is in the trunk so would i run everything to the rear of my vehicle?
Yes, you could run the wires to the battery in the trunk. We do not recommend double-sided adhesive to mount the tubes as we cannot guarantee they will stay mounted on the vehicle.
Did you use the correct tube for the rear? We have a 2017 Mustang and the wire length was fine when running it from the rear tube to the engine bay. Double check how you routed the wire too, to see if you can free up any slack.

Yes, this kit is Bluetooth ready so it can be controlled using our mobile app. The kit also comes with a wireless remote if you chose to use that instead.
When enabled, it will turn the underbody kit on white when the door is opened. If the kit is already turned on to a different color it will change the color to white when the door is opened and will return to the previous color when the door is shut.
If the kit is turned off, the underbody will light up white when any of the vehicles doors are opened and then will turn back off when the door is shut. If the underbody kit is on, the kit will turn white when a door is opened and then will turn back to the color it was set too when the door is closed.
I purchased the wireless million color led underbody kit, but never installed it. I had to order 2, 24inch replacement tubes because the 36 inch tubes for the front and rear are too long.

The same way as if it was under the hood. Just run the wires to the trunk instead of the engine bay. This is a different kit, but this install might help: ua-cam.com/video/xHQ1DK2zabc/v-deo.html
When the courtesy light feature is enabled, the underbody lights will turn on white when the doors are opened and will then turn off when the door is closed. This will work if the kit is turned on or off.
The side tubes for this kit measure 46 inches and the front and rear tubes are 36 inches. You should be ok but you might want to measure the mounting spots on your car just to double check.
We have an installation video that will walk you through the process of installing our Wheel Well lighting kit to your vehicle. The kit is meant to be mounted to the vehicle's wheel well liner, not the actual wheel itself. ua-cam.com/video/Y7r0VPFjgNM/v-deo.html

The bluetooth kit is our top of the line kit. It will give you the brightest output with the most features.
