I thought for switch to iPhone 14 but ended up with the s23+. The bigger memory for less price, improvement in battery and the camera made the decision easy. As an art historian with a very good eye I really have to wonder about people claiming that iPhone photos are looking more realistic. I actually think the opposite. They have an unnatural contrast. The people are so used to higher contrasts and filters through the use of social media that they aren't more able to see that.

Also SDGen2 graphics is sooo much faster than old A15 chip in 14 (same from 13s) Its foolish to buy 14 (considering 15 is coming with type c and may be having usb3)

I've never been a brand loyalist I use what works well. But when you compare these two and what you get for the money, the s23 wins hands down. Apple got lazy on the iPhone 14 plain and simple. Had the older notch, last year's A15 processor, no dynamic island and the 60 hertz refresh rate. The s23 on the other hand has the latest top of the line snapdragon 8 gen 2 chip, 120 hertz refresh rate, brighter screen, improved battery life and way more customization. Simply put, Apple stopped innovating on the iPhones and it's why I end up preferring Samsung and the s23.

It works great some of the time then other times it will inexplicably just not work. Very frustrating. Apple's Face ID works literally all of the time in all lighting conditions. The iPhone operating system didn't seem polished and synchronization with the MacBook was not working correctly sometimes. Also, something a lot of people don't know: if you're outside the USA or other country where Apple maps are not working as good as Google maps and you are willing to use Google maps, then be ready that your iPhone will keep complaining it needs Google maps. Great video, but your wording on "design" is a bit incoherent. First you state you prefer the "sharper design" of the iPhone 14 then you go into details about ergonomics and then you sum it up saying you prefer the design of the S23. Design and ergonomics are not the same, a phone can be ugly as hell and sit nicely in the palm of your hand at the same time. I think what you meant to say was you preferred the design of the iPhone 14, but found the S23 more ergonomic...
Also it's crazy how much of a PWM your camera picks up on the S23's display, but absolutely none at all on the iPhone's at 3:39. Specs are specs, but when all the reviewers mention the variance in refresh rates, this is something they should also mention, because many people's eyes are numb to higher refresh rate (they cannot tell the difference), but also many people's eyes are sensitive to PWM flickering. So someone might pick up the S23, thinking the 120 Hz will provide a smoother experience, but then using it will give them a headache and won't be able to figure out why...

Hi Moyeen, I find the Iphone 14 to have the better haptics, but on the Android side in my opinion Samsung in general has the best haptics.
