    Noah's video • How To Get FASTER at t...
    Noah Lyles employs a unique race strategy in the 200-meter event. Instead of pushing hard from the start, he eases out of the blocks and remains relaxed for the first 10 meters. By doing so, he conserves energy and gains better control over his body. As the race progresses, Noah gradually accelerates and catches up to his competitors.

    I don’t think his start is him conserving energy I think it’s just cause he has a bad start compared to others pros, he is probably trying just as hard as them but his top speed is superior.

      @screwyt2358 Рік тому +1

      different body’s. Everyone is different. while usain got out aggressively, you can also tell he is really relaxed nd doesn’t burn energy out( because of how fast he finishes). It’s not that he doesn’t get out smooth nd relaxed or patient, it’s just that he is doing what lyles is doing, at a faster pace. Usain is know for his long strides nd how much force he put into the ground compared to the average sprinter(that and his WR’s obviously)

      @@TheWayToWinBut he kind of disproves your whole thesis... Tebogo got out faster than anyone else, then fell back a little because his top speed is lower than Noah's, but ultimately had better speed maintenance despite supposedly wasting all that energy in the first 10m...

      @@TheWayToWin so you mean if Tebogo ran as Lyles. he could have ran 19.3 yesterday? Have to remember as well that Tebogo also normally has better start than Noah. I also dont think this is Noah in prime shape. He recently got covid. This is his normal level. Maybe that also counts for Tebogo.

  • @duncanharvey2209
    @duncanharvey2209 Рік тому

    Well Lyles split 1.94 in a balls out 100m and "2.05" (bs) in his 6.51 60m pb. Meanwhile Tebogo split 1.86 in the same 100m race. So Lyle's, despite what he might say is absolutely accelerating as fast as he can (relaxed or not) and at the very least Tebogo and Lyles, if they WERE holding back were holding back to the identical degree based on their individual starting capabilities. I.E IF Lyles was holding back then Tebogo was to the exact same extent.🤷

    • @TheWayToWin
      @TheWayToWin  Рік тому

      The purpose of relaxed acceleration is to save energy and achieve higher precision in force application, resulting in a faster top-end speed. Ben Johnson did the same thing in the first 10 meters, and his acceleration remains one of the fastest in history.
