This is actually good for the environment, trees need exactly what that jet engine spouts out and it's called C02. Plant more trees and you'll end up with more oxygen.
Carbon Dioxide is still a greenhouse gas. Hopefully we can plant enough trees to sequester the gas, but this only works while the tree is still growing. Thanks for watching and commenting, Anthony.
CO2 is invisible to the naked eye. Most of what's seen as exhaust is heated aerosolized jet fuel, forming cores for condensation of (mostly) water vapor. Anything but good for the environment, or for the audiences respiratory systems. I realise it's done for show but if any of the engines I maintain startled performing like that it would be pulled for overhaul in a flash. :-)
I remember the original Shockwave at the Cayuga oval in the mid 80's and if you think it's cool on a video then you should really try to see it in person. The heat, noise and the ground shaking is incredible and I was about 300 ft away.

I saw the Green Mamba and one other at meridian speedway in Idaho it's a quarter mile oval it was quite a sight to watch those two cars go around the oval but in doing so it kicked up all of the pebbles and put them into the crowd and it was the only time they ever had the jet cars at meridian speedway but it was pretty cool.

A large bank of batteries would be required to provide the thrust, only a matter of time I guess. Battery power may end up quicker down the strip but would lack the fantastic spectacle Shockwave puts on before it gets to the line. And what is the percentage of staying alife while driving this Jet Truck? looks so risky. I mean flying to the moon looks safer than this one. I loveit but it's so risky and it produce a lot of pollution, I wouldn't say cut it out but I hope such sport happens only a few times per year in a way so we don't actually hurt the evniroment.

180 gallons of fuel per run x $5 per gallon (if they are burning Jet Fuel) = $900 for fuel only. Turbines can also run Diesel Fuel if they are set up that way.

180 gallon per run? You can drive prius back and forth mars with 180 and probably still have 10 left
That might be a bit of a stretch or a lot of down hill sections as you would need to average about 200,000km/l to get to Mars when it is at it's closest.
