Hi Angel, looks like you’re getting it down pretty good. Cool truck in the start. Keep practicing and Austin looks like a great instructor. He’s right doing those moves in a windier day will help you in the long run. Stay cool man
My limited knowledge of flying is based around the period of my life where I was associated with a Canadian Air Force Squadron. The pilots trained relentlessly to perfect their skills. And a large part of it was building 'muscle memory'. Just like your instructor commented... it's great to learn when the conditions are not ideal. That will simply serve you down the road, and build up more muscle memory. Flying is a series of 'problem solving' events. Constantly adjusting to your rapidly changing situation. It looks like you're in great hands... and you're doing amazing! Obviously I'm here for the car content. But I definitely am loving the snippets of your flight training..
Muscle memory is the perfect term for this! I started my training back in 2019 so i am a bit rusty but I definitely am thankful for the rough day because it did show me to respect the dangers a bit more. Austin is a really good instructor for his age!
Congratulations! That is something that I have always wanted to do, but never had the time. Now that I’m retired I don’t have the money.😂😂 Glad you are getting to do your dream. Keep sharing! Thanks.
Very important to understand winds when landing slow and low. Crosswinds, tailwinds, gusty winds, etc. When a 20 knot headwind drops suddenly to a 5 knot headwind, and you lose 15 knots of airspeed over the runway, etc. Study it hard to stay safe.
Man, I miss being in the air. Plane is neeeeeeaaaarrrrlllllyyyy finished. Just finalizing the paint job. So, when you investing in a plane again? I mean, vs renting, it is a long term savings, and they don't depreciate as much as cars.
Nothing wrong with a go around. Crosswinds are always tricky and vital to learn. You may fly into an airport where you don’t have the option to avoid a crosswind. Keep flying.
Yes Angel, more videos like this...I took lessons some years ago and I feel your pain...lol You're doing great though and you'll be on your own in no time.
You're doing great man, crosswind landings can be very challenging. You'll get there. With 30 hours you have to be close to soloing. If not, you may need to get a new instructor. With the hours you have, he really shouldn't be touching the controls unless you are in a dangerous situation. More aviation videos, please!
Getting into position for final is often a hard thing for students to pickup. Especially with a cross-wind element. Over time you'll get a feel for altitude, airspeed and the timing of your base and final turns and it will become easier. Those big Fowler flaps on the C-150 make it easier to compensate. Keep up the good work Angel! And yes, more aviation videos!
Q=Quebec. Quebec is an Algonquin word meaning narrow passage.............also the province of Quebec in Canada. Just in case people were wondering. Interesting to watch all the details in flying a plane
Flop Chop and Drop Baby. I am so thankful that I did not have to learn to fly in a Cessna... Angle, let me know when you are ready for some Helicopter lessons.
Is that a Cessna 152? The way you say Québec made me laugh (not in a bad way) because I live in Québec. Good job! Keep it up & those flying hours with crosswinds only help you with your future in aviation! Bring on the aviation videos!
@@rookie__pilot Perfect! Now if you find you always are putting throttle back in on final, there are 2 different things you can do- delay putting in more flaps, or turn base sooner. Try it out!
Hi Angel, more aviation please. While landing in a crosswind doesn't look like a lot of fun, the more you do it the better you will get. As in anything practice is the key to competence - a great instructor helps too - LOL. Regards, Dave
@@rookie__pilot They restored several at Marana. But that was 10 years or so ago. The satellite imagery from google still shows some carcasses in the NW corner of the airport. Enjoy your flying! 👍

Probably the best experience you can get. Imagine going through all your training with no bad weather, and then your first solo is heavy cross wind.
You are right!
A tough day in the cockpit, thanks for sharing your struggles.
I see no bad landings here; you walked away from them.
You can walk away from a good landing, it's a great landing if you can reuse the plane afterward! 😂
It's all in the training Angel, you learn more from mistakes than doing it well. Good job!

Love the aviation videos. You remind me of myself hot rods and airplanes :)
Hot rods and planes are the way to go!!

Touch and Goes... Excellent learning session. You sometimes don't get the opportunity to be challenged. Makes you a better pilot.
Well said!

Have to say that brings it all back when I was doing that, wait for the solo
Solo soon!
Yeah I'm interested in the aviation stuff too. Learning with difficult conditions makes you better in all conditions. Good work!
COOL TRUCK!... GOOD JOB!
Yeah! Ive seen that truck a couple times, always catches my eye

Not bad Rookie. I liked your distance from the runway on downwind.
Half way up the wing spar!

Really diggin the channel. Like you adding in some of the flight stuff. Keep up the good work and stay safe. God Bless.
Thanks!
Stick with it. It will all come together.

I like Flying content. It's cool to see the training process :) keep it up!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! I always wanted to take lessons and seeing someone learning is helpful.
Yeah dude! More flights!
Marana Regional! Are there still SuperConnies there?
I havent seen one, but that would be a sight to see!
