@@aspiringauthor26 I figured out how to put it in the bin yesterday..and I've only had this game since Wednesday..I'm still figuring out how stuff works in this game, but I am really enjoying it..like Animal Crossing I can spend hours playing it..then I look at the clock and go "what? It's that time already?Sheesh"..Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA was one of my favorite games for that system, and this one IMO is a faithful remake of that game 😊
Sunshine MishasMommy yeah I finally figured out how to do it to. I’ve loved harvest moon since I was a kid and I love that story of seasons continued and is just like harvest moon. I love these games
I didnt see it mentioned, but you can befriend the Blue harvest sprite (Blueberry) in 3 days by giving him 3 blue grass, this can make your life MUCH easier and MUCH quicker because you can get him to help you with watering your field which can get you to planting more overall crops faster, the Sprites are really broken in that you can befriend htem all very easily with the colored grasses and random flowers to then completely skip all chores.
@waterbabby Blueberry is the Dark blue Harvest sprite at the Sprite house behind the church, you can visit them everyday starting your first day until 5pm.
You can befriend all the sprites really quickly if you give them flour. For some reason they all really love flour lol. It’s only 50g at the general store
Hi! Another tip that you should do daily once you started the game is to throw an item into the lake near the hot spring. Presumably, non-junk item like flowers. A goddess will appear and take your offering and it will unlock tons of stuff. Trust me. Do this daily. ☺️
Tip for easy money: Save all of the Van’s Favourite item that you get and sell it to Huang when you have the option to sell your stuff to him and you’ll instantly get £50000 :)
Actually, once you have enough money saved up I like to purchase a bunch of seasonal seeds and save them in the tool box until next year. I do this because it is slow to wait until the general store opens or sometimes the store isn't open on the 1st of the season due to events or just the day of the week.
First of the season is a holiday so store is always closed but you can buy next-season seeds at the end of the season anyway so no need to do this :) player beware tho, don't think you're smart and plant them on the last day because (unless this remake changed this) your farm plot resets by next morning lol
Early free power berries (2 to be exact) are obtained by giving 10 gifts each to the harvest goddess and the kappa. Do this for 10 days and you'll get 2 early on. Sidenote though I found a bug with the Kappa power berry reward while the dialogue was happening, my character was in collision with Gotts so basically make sure the area is clear when you do the 10th gift for Kappa. A fun technique I do for money is saving 6k-7k before the spring derby and save before watching the races then load the game and bet on the winning horses. Be careful though because I noticed that the first race is the only one that works with saving and loading the game. Then after you spent all your money on the race use your medals on necklaces on the prize exchange. Trust me you're not gonna regret it.
Brooch is best derby item in the beginning! But don't worry about the 2nd and 3rd race not being fixed, just play through the derby a few times and you'll be able to guess easily because it's predictable. You can always reload and it's worth the trouble for the crazy $$$$$ Later, when you unlock dresses, sell them to Huang for millions :) Always be prepared with all the money you can save for derby every year. By year 2 you really shouldn't have to worry about money anymore though.
Save honey to give to harvest sprites. I think they all like it as a gift. So you can train them to help you in the farm the way you like it. Otherwise, give gift from the same color as the sprite and this will help improving friendship.
One easy trick I did to befriend the Harvest Sprites is to give them grass daily. 1st was Blueberry since he loves Blue grass. For the other sprites, I give them any grass I could forage. I also sickle the weeds from my farm to get more colored grass and gift them to harvest sprites of the same color. (ie. Plum = Purple grass, Cherry = Red grass etc.)
I hope they also remake harvest moon cute! I want to see an upgraded Skye and hopefully a glow up for the other bachelors who um... Had really great personalities lol
Hahahaha I agree. I loved HM DS. Idk why they don't have Jet's shop with the records in all the games after that 😭 I looooved the songs you could collect, and then you could listen to any of them WHILE going about farming and such! It was KK Slider in like Animal Crossing DS except you didn't just hear the music in your house. They also had classic HM tunes, it would be cool to hear them remade.
Also it would be perfect to do the same thing as they did with this and remake it as a combo of HM DS & HM DS Cute, so you get all the marriage options. Skye really was the only cute option in DS Cute tho!
For when you upgrade your watering can to silver I would not separate different crops as the silver watering can cover 6 areas which costs less energy than the copper watering can. As long as an item is upgraded hold A to make it use a stronger version of what it is doing such as covering a larger area.
This is good advice especially for people who played the old versions who may not realize you CAN do this. Before, you couldn't walk over crops so if you planted more than 3x3 before you had upgrades or sprites you couldn't water the crops in the middle after they sprouted and you deeply regretted all of your life decisions.
Something I think everyone should know is how to be a "chicken farmer". What you do(have at least 2 chickens ). Take one of the eggs layed by a chicken put in in the "incubator" when the chicken is fully grown you can go sell it for 500g, this is a win win situation because you just do it again and you get the eggs for free and sell the chickens for 500g so it doesn't cost you anything to get the chicken and you make 500g
Story of Seasons: Friends of MIneral town is the remake of Harvest Moon: (More)Friends of Mineral Town. HM: FoMT is a remake of my favorite and first ever played HM game HM: Back to Nature. Lots of memories with the PS1 exclusive I still feel nostalgic when I hear the music during spring festival.
I always hear youtubers say how SoSFoMT is a remake of HMFoMT but for some reaosn they never mention that HMFoMT is a remake of Back to Nature, I know it shouldn't bother me but for some reason it does hahaha, but I get the feeling, the music makes me go back to so many childhood memories :')
I think a number of people don't know this is a combo of HMFoMT and HMMFoMT. Not that that two titles ever made sense. If you want to be a dude, you have to get the older one and if you play as a girl you get the update. Same with DS/DS Cute! Thank glob they finally combined the options AND allowed same sex marriage (instead of "BeSt FRieNDs" which was like hedging around a same sex romance without being too progressive 😂)
This was very helpful for me..I just got the game Wednesday and am still figuring out stuff..but I am enjoying every minute of it..the Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA was one of my favorite games on that system, and playing this game brings back some great memories for me..the only issue I have is that the day seems to just wiz by in this game..I do wish it was just a tad bit slower..but other than that,I'm really enjoying this game so far 😊
This game to this day is still the best farming game for me.I recognize that Rune Factory 4 and Stardew Valley have way more content, but I just the simplicity of this and the older Harvest Moon games. No evil corporations to shut down or dragon gods or overarching plot to worry about, just a guy or gal tending to a farm out your own pace.Stardew Valley and Rune Factory while good games don't have the relaxed feel that I'm looking for in these games.
Marvelous Was the one making Harvest Moon and Natsume are only the publisher of the game. I dont remeber what year but Marvelous and Natsume went seperet ways and why they call it Story of seasons now is becaus Natsume have some kind of patern on the name Harvest Moon.
You can win a lot of money by scum saving before horse festivals, invest all the medals you win on dresses and brooches then sell them to Huang. A dress goes for around 12k alone
Dresses need to be unlocked tho? Buy all the brooches you can and then use the rest of the medals on mushrooms, so you can get as much quick money as possible!
Friends Of Mineral Town even after all these years is still my favorite farming game my top five that I played are 1.Friends Of Mineral Town(Duh) 2.Rune Factory 4 3.Rune Factory 3 4.Stardew Valley(Overrated but I recognize it's a fantastic game one of the best recent farming games. 5.Harvest Moon:A Wonderful Life(Despite the farming not being as good the older games the family aspect of this game was pretty charming.
harvest sprites are a godsend for lots of crops, use them, their favorite is wheat flour, relatively cheap. Once they start working for you, you can plant a rather sizable amount of crops, and can earn quite a lot of Gold
Even if I don't want to marry a character the idea of them leaving town for 2 years because I failed to tell them about a job is irrationally traumatizing lol this is why I NEED player's guides. It's an OCD thing 😄
Stardew Valley was the first farming/life sim series I gave a serious playthrough and enjoyed, but then I played some of the SOS and HM games and they really highlighted some of the limits of SDV, especially in the NPC interactions. SOS/HM had a lot of interesting mechanics like Reverse Confessions, Rival Marriages, simply waving at people as you pass by them counts as talking to them, wrapped gifts, post marriage/child events, Spouses that WORK on the farm, the villagers celebrate YOUR birthday/give YOU presents, and having to be on good terms with an NPCs friends before you can reach milestones with them. This stuff breathed life into interacting with the NPCs (which is a big part of the game), and it makes the SDV NPCs feel stiff and robotic at times (esp post marriage)
A little scummy, but there's a horse race in spring. Safe before the race, bet all your money on a at least x8 multiplier, reload if that horse loses. If you win, spend all your medals on broches. That way, I made enough money to get 36 plots of Pineapple, the biggest bag and a house upgrade by the first summer
I haven't played the switch version but mfomt is my fave (played so many times) so if everything is the same, an easy way to get a lot of money early is foraging the colored grasses, you can earn 500 g a day just from them. Then buy chickens and feed to get eggs to sell.
did you know you can make your life easier especially when watering crops in your first few days before the upgraded tools that you can strafe in one line both vertical and horizontal forward and sidewards with the ZL button
Thank you so much for this video I was really excited for this game as I love farm-themed games like this but I was a bit confused with what to do at first but now i'm really excited that I can play knowing that I know how to play ♥
I used to play a ton of the Friends of Mineral Town of GBA and was my favorite HM moon other than the one on the 64, and was incredibly hyped to see this game being remade. Finally got it on switch and its super fun, except that my horse finally grew as an adult and the very next day the old man came back and took it :(
There's a glitch whereby if you faint on the last day of the season at 6am, you will be able to retain all your crops and they won't wilt. Faint every end of the month and you'll be able to keep harvesting the multi yield crops, say pineapples till winter.
I feel so overwhelmed, & I played Stardew Valley like crazy and got it down super quick. But for some reason I find I’m constantly running out of time in Mineral Town (& constantly out of Stamina). I can’t progress at all because I’m constantly leaving the mine for the spa. And I couldn’t figure out how to gift items. I feel like I’ve wasted about 2 in game weeks with little to show for it.
Time feels really short early in the game but once you upgrade your tools, using them will take less stamina. Also, give the Harvest Goddess offering daily, she will then give you power berry which will increase your stamina limit. You can sometimes get a power berry while tilling the soil.
meguchan05 I think you can also get one by giving kappa a cucumber for 10 days. And get one on the 100th floor of spring mine, I tried doing it but I gave up😅
@@hakhawt8416 Yes! Although I think the blue power berry from Kappa is for reducing the fatigue level. I just got the power berry from 100th level of spring mine yesterday, I used the save & load trick, i almost gave up, it really does take a lot of patience haha! 😅
Stardew Valley got their idea to make their game from Natsume and Xseed these two games were Friends of Mineral town and Rune Factory four. These two games are available in the switch ;D
I know it's a bit late but.. may I add? Because I'm playing this game too and now my character (male) is married to Doctor. If you want to have more than 500G for starter money, you can choose difficulty to be simple mode where's they provide 18 turnips and grass for the horse. Grasses needed in order to prevent your horse (that given by Mugi) is taken back by him when the horse is an adult
If you go for Ran you can give her boiled eggs for a very easy gift, your chickens will lay eggs and she'll be at the hot spring most days and throwing an egg in will give you the boiled egg you need
VERY USEFULL...At the start, on day 3 in Spring. You can get a free fishing rod from Zack at his house on the beach. Also maybe use ur 500g to buy cabbage seeds from Huang whos also in Zack's house
I kinda hope they make Island of Happiness. That was one of my very first games I ever played. I loved it and spent years playing it. I'd be so happy if they remade it in story of seasons.
It will be easier to progress relationships if you are on seedlings mode and Cliff is the one I'm going to romance in the game also Cliff returns the 2nd year and gets offered winery job and becomes permanent resident and you can continue to romance him
Well no one ever mention how to increase animals maximum hearts in this game. Every animals you buy, they only have 5 hearts top. You HAVE TO let that animal has an off-spring so that off-spring can get 1 more max heart which will be 6. And you have to keep going with the process till you have a 10-hearts animal. It's not about how many animals you have, it's about how many hearts your animals have. And animals in this version DO NOT die, which is pretty awesome, you can have (P) products like forever. Unlike the Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town in which animals have a particular life span. Chicken is like 3-4 years, Cow and Sheep are 5-6 years max.
I play this game and I wish I knew all these when I first started bc I…kinda let all the plants die and I don’t ummmm tend to my animals much and now I’m better at this game on my second run without looking at these tips yet so im starting a fresh new life now with these tips
You dont have to put lumber you can just hammer them and they will go away. Nature spirits if you be friend them (give gifts) they will help water, harvest and look after your animals. Look at the calendar, it will tell you the villagers birthday. If you throw a flower in the falls by the hot spring a goddess will appear. When you throw your cucumbers in the lake where theres a cave by the water kappa will appear. Also try examining some places you will get a truth jewel.
I used to love the DS version of this game, but I'm not sure I like this one. I just started, and it doesn't seem very intuitive. I can't figure out how to plant anything or take stuff out of my bag. And it seems like time goes way too fast.
PSA: no matter how may things you gift a bachelor it will not increase affection. the game only allows you to give one gift a day to increase their affection slowly
Is harvest sprite trick still work? Which you give flour many times at 4th Spring which is Staid(if I'm not wrong, who I mean is purple one) birthday so you can have many love and ask him to watering your farm?
I'm not sure if this is because I am playing on Steam instead of Switch, but the ladders for the mine is not fixed. Every time I restart the save, the ladder change place since the rocks also change positions.
Not sure, I’m using the switch and it works for me. Try turning off and reloading your game. Then save right before entering the mine and testing it out on the first level. Save before moving around or hitting any rocks. Should work. Hope this helps.
Yep ive played harvest moon my whole life. I do want to try stardew valley though. I don't got it even though its not new. Also i like this info video. Lol i still have trouble on these and i did lose cliff in the old game. I didn't feel like replaying. Also in ps3 back to nature... ya i missed the job at carters
I'm interested of diving in but i have concerns 1. Is SoS FoMT easy to get into much like say... Stardew Valley and Doraemon Story of Seasons or is it like Natsume's Harvest Moon games (One fuck up and Game Over)? 2. Can you enjoy the game without getting hitched or is it mandatory for story progression? 3. Will the Marriage system be a issue for newcomers of SoS (namely those coming into this after playing Doraemon Story of Seasons)? 4. In your opinion, Which is more feasible to play this, Physical or Digital?
1. Need clarification to fully answer this... which natsume harvest moon? Because older harvest moon (till tale of two town) is actually bokujo monogatari in japan and now the english translation called story of season. The newer harvest moon (light of hope, etc) is a clone of the series made by natsume... after marvelous (original developer) and natsume (translator and seller in outside japan) separate... To partially answer your question... If you come from Doraemon SoS... then you will like this game. Because Doraemon SoS is actually trying to "back to basic" to old bokujo monogatari gameplay... and this game is actually the remake of those said old games. Thus the game style might be to your liking... 2. As far as i know you have freedom in this game... all other is optional... 3. Marriage also optional... and if you want to get married this remake also give freedom for same sex marriage (original gba game did not). 4. I prefer physical copy for all my switch game. But that my personal opinion. Hope this help
need some help here I just started playing my Story of Seasons Friends of mineral town game and Cliff the boy I'm going to marry is already at purple heart and The Heart events seem to be confusing the events I'm finding online are all happening in the fall but I'm still in spring I'm not in fall yet so I'm not sure what the purple heart event is supposed to be am i missing events
Definitely some great tips, i'm new to these games i never played any of the series. One question have you any good tips into managing the sprites? I'm currently expanding my crop field and when i assign all 7 sprites to certain chores (4 on water dutie) (2 on harvest) and (1 on livestock) after the 7 days is up i'm stuck with all farming duties alone until i ask them to help again. Is there a certain strategy to avoid this happening. Any tips is much appreciated.
make it 3 for water duty, 2 on harvest, and 2 on livestock. then assign 1 from each area about 2-3 days ahead or behind the rest so when 7 days is up then you wont be alone doing everything. this also saves up time when theres a hurricane as you cant go out the house if theres one outside but the sprites can still work during a hurricane.
@@banarriola121 Should i put 3 on water duty for 7 days, and 4 sprites harvesting and on livestock duties for 2x3 days so after 6 days working i can assign them to new duties on the day before the sprites on watering duty is over? Thanks
He’s saying to assign those 3 sprites one day after the other. So assign the green sprite on spring day 10 to water for 7 days. Then the next day on spring day 11, assign the yellow sprite for 7 days straight. Then the next day, spring day 12 assign the purple sprite to water for 7 days. That way there is at least 2 out of the three working at all times on your field. Jus have to keep up wen you need to go back and assign the sprite again wen his 7days are up. Hope this helps for clarification.
Dummy question but what button on the switch do I have to press to pick an item out of the inventory and put it over my head so I can throw it into the salesbasket?
I have an important question. I start this game today and I liked the girl with brown hair, but her hair style no so... Will I be able to change his hair type later? Thanks
Don't get why everyone is so offended when someone says harvest moon is like stardew valley. Yes, harvest moon was there first, but stardew valley was made to be inspired by hm so it is like harvest moon and harvest moon is like stardew valley. It goes both ways and it helps to point out the similarity to people who might be unfamiliar with harvest moon. Stop being so easily offended people. 🤨
Why are you also offended when people decide to put more respect to the actual origins of the games? I get that you're probably a hardcore fan of stardew, but you've to realize that it's merely a decent copy of the original harvest moon.
I'm a fan of harvest moon as well as stardew valley. Why could a person only be fan of one? The original harvest moon games where great, but the more recent ones are way less nice. Whereas stardew valley added to the original by way more gameplay, story, making fishing more interesting and having an way more advanced mining concept. Liking Stardew Valley doesn't mean disrespecting Harvest Moon or the originin of the farming games. I just believe Story of Seasons and Harvest moon could learn from new games and improve their own concept to. Instead of remaking old games without adding much new stuff and still asking a very high price for it. At least with indie games like stardew valley you get way more value for your money.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But to answer your question , I think people get offended because when someone says " harvest moon/story of seasons is like stardew valley" it sounds like harvest moon/story of seasons is a copy of stardew instead of the other way around. It makes the people who are unfamiliar of harvest moon/ story of seasons believe they copied or inspired the game from stardew. Again it's not a incredibly big deal but I can't definitely understand why people get bothered when people word it in a way where stardew was the og farming game rather than a good one that was inspired by another good farming game
@@manonborst4769 what I meant by a decent copy actually derived from the time it was created. OG Harvest Moon was published at 1996( when creativity and engine capabilities were still very limited. Even the title that exploded the HM fanbase, Back To Nature(1999) was published during those era. It was a very wholesome farming-life simulator. Whereas Stardew Valley was published at 2016, when games like the Witcher 3(2015), GTA V(2013), Skyrim(2011), The Last of Us(2013) and many more have introduced themselves. If you actually googled the graphic style of the first Harvest Moon game(1996) and then looked at the graphic style of Stardew Valley(2016), you can clearly see how much of an inspiration that original HM had been. Like the other commenter said": people commenting "HM is like SV" send mixed messages concerning which game was inspired by which game. Those messages don't simply only convey "the similarities" between the 2 games. And we aren't offended, we just would appreciate it better if people do their research better before conveying those messages in order not to confuse the newer generations who hadn't have the priviledge to experience what the pioneer of the genre created.
So you mentioned that the ladders don't change. But I haven't found that. The ladder is never in the same place when you come back to the mine, so if you loose a bunch of stamina trying to figure out where the first one is and then come back with more from the spring outside the mine is reset. So i'm confused as to how you can get to lvl 13 in the mines when i can barely get to lvl 2. Suggestions?
@@itsgowchia you have to save with each level. So enter the mine, then save then find the ladder. Then reload the file and everything should be the same. Then when you go down the ladder, save again find ladder and reload. The floors are random every time you change them so if you save and reload outside the mine then the room will randomly change. If you save before going down the ladder each time, then yeah the ladder on the next floor will be different. It's a slow process. That's why I recommend taking cooked meals and medicine. Use the save scumming for big rooms and just eat the stamina loss on little rooms to save you time in the real world.
applesauceman92 I wasted sooo much time trying to get to the 100th floor since I didn’t bring a lot of food, and thought those black grass would be fine lol, and collapsed on the 53th floor. I didn’t want to continue because I would’ve to find more black grass in the mines and I would have to remember where they were located😅and I also got lazy.. Edit: actually I didn’t bring any food😭😭
Save at the beginning of each level. So when you drop down a level. Save before touching anything. Then find the ladder, and reload then it should be in the same spot. Then next level save then find the ladder and reload. So on and so forth. The holes are always in the same spot too
I didn’t know about the horse thing and he took it back. I was so confused because I thought he’d take it back regardless, I only talked to him. Please also brush the horse!
Still not sure if I’m missing something but Im in Fall and Mugi hasnt shown up to offer me the horse. Ive definitely talked to him but still wont show up. Not sure if theres some other criteria im missing
Try giving him gifts, eggs or fruit that will trigger it. In year one he brought a foal to me and even though i brushed it each day he still returned to take it from me. Year 2 after i gifted him s few times he gave me an adult horse. Hope this helps.
Dubguyful awesome thanks I’ll try it. Almost wonder if I waited too long to talk/ introduce myself to him. Don’t think I talked to him until end of Spring since I wasn’t spending money to buy a cow until after the derby.
Can someone explain to me how I can get the recipes from Ruby? :/ she only gave me the one for wild grape water but now she doesn't give any other ones for some reason. I have 10 musical notes with her already, and I don't know what else I'm supposed to do.-.
Ok, I've been trying to see an answer for this, but I have yet to find it so: Can you rename the protagonist? Like change the name Claire to something else?
How do I actually get a pet I’ve been looking all over trying to find something about it and have come up empty also LOL Cliff already left my name but I didn’t know that he’ll be back within two years Iol oops but yeah any advice would be great I just got this game and really enjoying it but would really like a dog or some thing but I don’t know how to get one

Or simply buy wheat flour. The love wheat flour more
I hope they also remake harvest moon cute!
I am also hoping for a HMDS Remake someday. It is actually one of my favorite games despite its jank.
Visit Zack on Sunday to get a fishing rod. Use the sickle to cut weeds and you'll get grass that sells for more.
What's great is that they include dialogue that mentions characters that were in BtN but never came back for any game.
Sounds complicated, but seems legit. Should have also mentioned that Harvest Moon was the predecessor of Stardew. The game looks real cute
You missed a very important tip:
Saying no to the mayor in the beginning for a good laugh :v

stardew copied harvest moon. not the other around. STARDEW IS EXACTLY LIKE HARVEST MOON.
Harvest Moon: 1996. Stardew Valley: 2016. 9_9
Marvelous Was the one making Harvest Moon and Natsume are only the publisher of the game. I dont remeber what year but Marvelous and Natsume went seperet ways and why they call it Story of seasons now is becaus Natsume have some kind of patern on the name Harvest Moon.
I know, I cringed when she said the opposite 🤦🏽♂️
ye but stardew valley came out over a decade later and harvest moon hadnt dropped anything new since 2003 so I guess its a good copy of the game
the sv dev literally has said he took inspiration from harvest moon idk why ppl dont kno
Make sure to befriend the nature sprites to make them take care of the farm for you so you can spend your stamina in mines and such
You can win a lot of money by scum saving before horse festivals, invest all the medals you win on dresses and brooches then sell them to Huang. A dress goes for around 12k alone
Lmao when I discovered I could do that I used it on mushrooms ugh but if brooches and stuff sell for more ..?
You can ship out the brooches though, they pretty much sell at the same rate, plus it's faster
Selena Bonilla I made 200k selling brooches in my first year. 😅
Dresses need to be unlocked tho?
Buy all the brooches you can and then use the rest of the medals on mushrooms, so you can get as much quick money as possible!
@@BloodyEveryday you can ship mushrooms too?
Friends Of Mineral Town even after all these years is still my favorite farming game my top five that I played are
1.Friends Of Mineral Town(Duh)
2.Rune Factory 4
3.Rune Factory 3
4.Stardew Valley(Overrated but I recognize it's a fantastic game one of the best recent farming games.
5.Harvest Moon:A Wonderful Life(Despite the farming not being as good the older games the family aspect of this game was pretty charming.
Stardew Valley overrated? LOL. How?
@@themaxtails both are great games but its normal for people to not like stardew valley or harvest moon, no need to be so defensive
harvest sprites are a godsend for lots of crops, use them, their favorite is wheat flour, relatively cheap. Once they start working for you, you can plant a rather sizable amount of crops, and can earn quite a lot of Gold
Love love love harvest moon! I played Another wonderful life (girl version) as a kid on GameCube and was a huge game ever since
When I first played this...I made sure I let Cliff know about the part-time job. I ain't letting my hubby leave the town ;-;
Definitely some great tips! I’ve been glued to this game for days now.
Me, too! It's so fun. :D
I haven't played the switch version but mfomt is my fave (played so many times) so if everything is the same, an easy way to get a lot of money early is foraging the colored grasses, you can earn 500 g a day just from them. Then buy chickens and feed to get eggs to sell.
You can also use the hammer to erase tilled spots.
Yeah, but tat cost energy
Get some more power berries, ya scrub.
@@mikelxanadu if there is better way than using hammer with using less energy, y not ?
did you know you can make your life easier especially when watering crops in your first few days before the upgraded tools that you can strafe in one line both vertical and horizontal forward and sidewards with the ZL button
That's the zr button, zl whistles.
Raise your fishing pole to Mythril level and try fishing on the beach.
I think you get Pirate Treasure and Fossils depending on season and luck.
Become friends with the harvest sprites. They'll help you with farmwork.
Whatttt?!
@@Alerafox yea the glitch was not patched lol. Plant lots of pineapples and profit
And get one on the 100th floor of spring mine, I tried doing it but I gave up😅
It was like that for me too when I started.
Upgrade your watering can to at least gold
@@hakhawt8416 Yes! Although I think the blue power berry from Kappa is for reducing the fatigue level.
I just got the power berry from 100th level of spring mine yesterday, I used the save & load trick, i almost gave up, it really does take a lot of patience haha! 😅
I havent heard if this game before, it looks pretty cool I like it!
Its our childhood game
Also maybe use ur 500g to buy cabbage seeds from Huang whos also in Zack's house
well luckily i've been playing stardew valley for 3 years :D
i just got sosfomt, and i watched this a LITTLE bit late
2:58 you can also use hammer :)
Thanks for the tips! I just got the game yesterday and I'm excited to play :)
Oooh this looks interesting. Would love to get it just to see what it's like.
Yeah! I love many different activities you can do in this game. There's a lot of goals to work toward!

One tip: Pineapple
And lots of them :)
why???

Great tips, even after playing through "Olive Town" I still got confused about how to proceed with this game 😅
Love your Switch menu. The only games that matter in life. 😊
You can also hammer the earth to return it to normal. The OCD demands perfect plots!
I kinda hope they make Island of Happiness. That was one of my very first games I ever played. I loved it and spent years playing it. I'd be so happy if they remade it in story of seasons.
Island of happiness was my first game too! I hope they remake it 🥺
Harvest moon and Stardew Valley is 20yrs apart!
Thank you for the tips. I just bought the game and looking forward to playing it
I used to love the DS version of this game, but I'm not sure I like this one. I just started, and it doesn't seem very intuitive. I can't figure out how to plant anything or take stuff out of my bag. And it seems like time goes way too fast.
Thank You! This was the most helpful tutorial I’ve found!
Wait I just saw this game on instagram, Now Im tempted to buy it!
PSA: no matter how may things you gift a bachelor it will not increase affection. the game only allows you to give one gift a day to increase their affection slowly
First time I’ve played the series since the original. Anyone else feel stupid for planting their crops in a 3x3x2 grid with a gap at the bottom?
How do you even plant crops? I have what I want selected on my switch but what do I do to actually use the hoe to till the ground
Thank you. I am terrible at farming games.
I was trying to get to floor 100 to get a power berry😔 but I gave up..
Not sure, I’m using the switch and it works for me. Try turning off and reloading your game. Then save right before entering the mine and testing it out on the first level. Save before moving around or hitting any rocks. Should work. Hope this helps.
I appreciate this review! Thank you definitely gonna consider
I've never played Stardew Valley, but I have played HM FoMT.
U mean STARDEW IS EXACTLY LIKE HARVEST MOON
I'm interested of diving in but i have concerns

Stardew Valley is closer to Rune Factory than Harvest Moon...given SV has combat, crafting and sprites that look like Runeys from RF

When you are in the mine how many levels do you need to reach before it auto saves ?
It does not autosave. You can hit the y button and save it manually.

To lvl up the farm, u need to keep upgrading things at Gotz the woodsman. Later on he can upgrade ur field
