Our best day in Scotland - Feeding Red Deer & Loch Tay Cruise | Highland Safaris [Ad]

- One of our favourite days in Scotland! Today we're at Highland Safaris Aberfeldy to feed red deer and cruise on Loch Tay. Then we see some Highland Cows, how Scottish can we...⬇ More Below ✈
While this is sadly one of our last days in Scotland and Perthshire as a whole, it's definitely one of the most random and fun days we've had! Highland Safaris in Aberfeldy is showing us an incredible time in this vlog, we hope you love it as much as we did/do. Feeding red deer, boat cruise on Loch Tay, meeting some horses and highland cows all in one video! Is it THE best day? OK that's hard to pick in such an epic country but it sure was a stand out.
We start off with a boat cruise on Loch Tay with Loch Tay Safaris. Loch Tay is really a uniquely shaped loch and has the deepest spot in Perthshire right next to the tallest mountain - very cool to see.
Off to the main Highland Safaris Aberfeldy centre and we're feeding red deer! Seeing the red deer so close and learning more about them was absolutely incredible. Highland Safaris has all sorts of other activities on site we wish we could have checked out, worth a look for sure.
Thinking the day was over at this point, but we checked into the Old Manse of Blair and were offered the chance to go up the road and see some highland cows - you'd have to be crazy to say no to that. Highland cows are the best, as Stace mentions, they look so emo with their fringes 🤣
🏰 Our incredible accom was The Old Manse of Blair, you can see the reviews and pricing here: geni.us/TtUhB or check out their site here: theoldmanseofb...

I am not surprised that you two have been invited to 'Haste Ye Back' to Scotland on many occasions. Your social sensitivity, awareness of culture,
fine observation and humour, and love for each other and the country of Scotland is well appreciated. So 'Haste ye Back' again!
Ahh now THAT is a comment! Thanks Bruce!
This was a lovely watch, thank you. Loch Tay is one of my favourite places in the world.
It's so amazing isn't it
the guy in the boat with the white hair, I used to work with him in an oil rig in the North Sea, he was the ballast control operator if I remember correctly, very nice man,Tommy pringle. Blast from the past. Its so nice to see people really appreciate oor wee country, haste ye back
Haha that's pretty crazy innit!
Wow. I just decided I HAVE to see red deer when I go to Scotland in 2 weeks. Thank you fellow kiwis 🥝😻
Yay - hope you love it as much as we did!
I absolutely loved this! You never cease to amaze me at your destinations and how inviting you make each and every one of them. I've been to Scotland seven times and have learned more about it from watching you. And oh how I miss it. The video, music and still shots were just perfect. The quality of your editing is so good. Looking forward to the next one. Safe travels my friends.
At this rate you'll be back there again for another trip! Glad you're enjoying

I live in Scotland. You're doing a great job! wow
Cheers Thomas
Daneger and Stacey same here lovely you 2 had a great time, iknow yous are back home in. Quarantine sending prayers from Glasgow.🙏🙏
Thomas Crown dinnea care ne one does ye bawbag.
What a fabulous film - thank you!
Thanks Sarah!
Omg brilliant footage of your intro. That guide lured me in, held me captive. Simply brilliant.
Always love your comments!
You are right that you may not call a Loch a lake, but there is at least one natural lake in Scotland: the Lake of Mentieth. Here lake derives from the word "laich", meaning low place. There are a few other lakes in Scotland but most are artificial. Another real lake is Manxmans Lake, a bay on the coast near Kirkcudbright (pronounced kirkcoobry).
What a wonderful day and such lovely people showing you around. The Defender is an awesome vehicle and I would guess a necessity in that part of the country. Anyway great vlog (as always) and lots of fun to watch. Thank you for posting it :)
So glad you guys are enjoying scotland! Come back any time 🏴😊
We were told haste ye back last time and we did, maybe a 3rd is in the works!
Oh yes, this one has all the bells ringing :) love this boat tour and those Scottish accents. Such a stunning day for droning. So cool with the reindeer, owel and long horn bull.
Thanks for this Lovely share, James and Kim
Just a few months too early for Christmas eh guys!
Scotland is so beautiful! 💕
Loved the bit when the deer came running up to be fed! I didn't know that their antlers fall off and regrow, so you are getting very educational on this channel :} I'm a great Land Rover fan - have owned several over the years, the oldest being a 1963 Series 2A which was noisy, slow and fabulous! And some geographical trivia: Loch Tay is the feeder for the River Tay, which is Scotland's longest river.
That was honestly such a special moment when they came running! Noisy, slow and fabulous sounds like the perfect Land Rover
We LOOOVE Scotland SO much! Just got back from a trip out to the Isle of Skye (it's MAGICAL). Our vlogs for that one won't be up for ages though because we're really far behind 😅 The deer antler thing is so cool hey! We saw heaps of reindeer antler souvenirs when we were in Norway and were worried about hunting, but were amazed to find out that they grow them every year and they just fall off!
That's exactly what we first thought when we walked into that shed area... like why are there so many antlers if this is a safe place for them?! Haha. Glad you guys enjoyed Scotland as well.
I love you Scottish videos!!
Such a relaxing, peaceful destination! 💚💚
I love when Stacey says "loch" it's funny 😂🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Yeah she's good with it! She's got the pronunciation on loch down 🤣
One of my absolute fave vids from you, guys. Loved the whole video from start to finish.
So nice to hear that, Eric. It's actually one of our faves ever as well!
Wow! You guys are getting to see some of the best places period. Great video! Thank you.
Some seriously good adventures had here for sure!
I've been to the highland safari as I live only half an hour away in perth. I went in the middle of September 2019. I also met colin when I was there. Realy nice guy. I fed deer and met the owl. A great day.
So cool! Glad you got to check it out as well, great place there
Rudolph?! Is that you? 😂 Wouldn’t have guess that Scotland makes such a great Safari destination! Such beautiful animals 🥰
The most of the animals are all sheep, I see them all the time
Just a few months too soon! Stace is already excited for Christmas tho
Hi, I have visited Highland Safaris several times driving our tour coach and, yes it is a magnificent place. I am pleased you enjoyed this part of Scotland that I love.. All my best to you both...John
Thanks John! Pleased we made the visit as well
Wow guys...that seem like an awesome experience.
It was so cool!
This would be such a good place to come with kids
I loved how that first deer licked its lips in anticipation for the food 🍽 Looked super friendly too 😁It’s quite fascinating about their antlers aye! Imagine if our bodies went to all that effort for them to fall off every season 😂
Funny how casual they were at the start to even bother coming up, then they loved the food and couldnt get enough!
Im lucky enough to live very close to the featured areas (am in MONIFIETH, Angus ... near to Dundee)
Blessed!
Thnx for sharing, as always,
Davie x
Cheers Davie
Great job guys!....Scotland & New Zealand are in my bucket list once the lockdown gets lifted....Loved the videos of both countries...watching Queenstown NZ clips again again during the lock down...Videos are addictive and a good distraction from office work.
PS: Stacey you are so adorable and look really cute in the videos....Love from all the way from India :)
Cheers man - glad you're enjoying! 2 epic places youve got on your bucket list there
Hope you enjoyed my homeland 🏴🏴
Enjoyed doesn't cover it enough, we loved it!
It's so strange seeing you guys explore the area that we are from! It's been amazing watching, looks like you had a great time. We're feeling very lucky to live here 😁🏴
You should guys, such a great spot!
I spent a glorious few years, in the 90's, landscaping in Perthshire!
God I miss that beautiful part of the world!
It really is such an incredible part of the world isn't it?!

I'm glad I left my mark on a few tiny parts of it!
I'm from Fife in Scotland. Great video guys. Think I'll head out today for a scenic drive having watched this. :-)
Looks like you had an awesome day. Your editing is on point and you make Scotland look sooo pretty! We have a travel/vanlife channel and try to do Scotland justice like you guys do! Enjoyed your video very much!!
Van life would be a good way to go in Scotland! Keep pushing guys, just takes time and practice

Thanks so much for your videos I’ve been to Scotland twice but love to get out of the city. I plan on seeing the animals on my next trip.
Pleased to hear that! Hope you can have an amazing adventure
😂😂😂i can just see you trying to get Angus the Highland coo in your baggage !! stacey 😜
Great to see the Deer center..( bring back Great memories ) .. 😊
We might need to upgrade our luggage size a little first haha
I remember seeing highland cows in Queenstown in New Zealand
Really??? The proper emo ones with the fringe and everything? Had NO idea they were in NZ
There is a farm at the opposite end of the lake.I took the old steam boot down the lake and the people who own the farm are of Scottish descent. They were letting the kids sit on the back of the highland cows. This was around 2001 but I’m sure they still have them..Walter Peak Sheep Station.
❤your videos, best on you tube, ignore all the bad comments, you two are a nice couple; animal lovers are the best, Good luck, stay happy...
Awww thanks Hylda
Argh! So amazing!
If you two love animals, you should visit Rotterdam's zoo and the one in Arnhem!
I really need some reindeer. 😍
13:10 'Fringe'? That''s a 'dossan'. Nice video, Dave.
What do owls say ? WHOO COOOOKS FOR YOUUU ? Go ahead try it out 😺😮❗️ We can get the owls in our woods to answer by shouting this as evening falls 😎
Now that sounds like fun!
UA-cam playing up again, didn't notify me of your previous video.
Me too!
Ugh, it's honestly so annoying UA-cam doesn't even notify the people who want to know #painful Thanks for finding it anyway. The next one just went live!
@@DanegerAndStacey I did that notification 👍
Very Good........
Beautiful! Could you please tell me was this Sept, Oct or Nov?
From memory this was late Sep, early October :)
I can see you 2 immigrating to Scotland some day lol.
I thought you were only in Scotland for 24 hours while you wait for your flight to Mexico i think it was? Seems you been here for quite a few days.
Maybe one day! We had about 5 days to quickly explore, then some Ireland videos and then on to Mexico :)
@@DanegerAndStacey Maybe i will immigrate to New Zealand, its a lot warmer there, i heard loads of Scots immigrate to New Zealand.
Highland coos look like they had yak bred into them centuries ago.
Dave and Stacey lol
😍😍
Your trophy cabinet must be full with all these wins 🏆
@@DanegerAndStacey I have room for more! 🏆🏆🏆 Also, I'm honestly not just sitting on my phone, with my finger ready, waiting for your post, haha (although I'm sure that's how it seems). 😂 We just have the same schedule and I happen to be on when you post (usually in the morning here when I'm eating breakfast). You lost me recently because your schedule changed! 😭
My husband and I always watch you two after dinner. We sit on the couch and have our desserts and watch your travels. We adore you two and inspire us to someday travel to many of the places you've been to!! 😍😍
So now you do relaxing videos? ;)
🤭 We try! People get too bored tho haha
@@DanegerAndStacey nah, don't mind them, i love when you do chill out vids :)
Don't worry about not pronouncing 'loch' correctly. English people can't pronounce it, either!
