Nice video , can now see why I have been quoted £1600 for a shed base & what work goes into it . Decided to do it myself . Wish me luck 😂
😝😝 Good luck bro. 👍
The raw materials aren’t cheap, a 6 inch deep perimeter footing and two brick high wall for a 10 by 6 foot greenhouse cost me £250 in raw materials, albeit not trade prices.
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ WOW really 😬
@@Passionbloom52 21 bags of ballast, 4 bags of cement, that’s over £100. 92 bricks for about £75 plus mortar. £30 mixer and barrow hire. However, take your time, do it properly, and it’ll be great.
@StillAliveAndKicking_ the prime example why Friday night is bag night. Stay off drugs kids
Great video, thanks matey! Ooooahhh
Well done trick lovely old job again, lovely finish round the edge too, i thought the bags of snowdust said southern comfort on them at first😂
HOOOOOOYYYERRRRR😂💪🏻💪🏻
Top work trick
I wish that you lived around my area, I need some of that Tricky stuff!!!
😝😝
Amazing Tutorial 🤙☺️ Thanks!
Great looking result. Top notch base. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Great work, love the idea of the brick wall. Could do with your services in the Lydd area of Kent in my back garden

Thanks Ian 😁 I like that I get a variety of different stuff. Hopefully the next job will be a good one too 😁😁
Just came across your channel mate. Love it. Nice, really smart job and your cheerful persona makes it better too. Keep up the good work 👏🏻👊🏻👍🏻
Cheers buddy

Very reasonable mate nice little job they got there for even nicer money 👍👌
Awesome work Trickey 👏 👌 👍
Cheers dutchy
Great video tricky, keep em coming 😊
Cheers buddy
Spellbinding Tricky....Lovely old job .....POW
Cheers 🍻 Andy
You remind me of my old tradesman. He used to set out in ft and inched and then use metric randomly. He would tell me the windows set at 1m 3inches 😂. It gives me ptsd hearing the two used by one trowel
POW indeed. Another superb job. 🧜♀
Nice one tricky 😎
I’m looking at needing a 8x6 foot concrete pad to replace a cracked uneven bit of concrete at the end of my garden to place a new shed on. I don’t want it built up on bricks. How much do you think i’ll be looking at spending?
Top job mate , yeah 1200 bit short should of been bit more but we all been there mate 🧱👌
You live and learn hey . Jobs all done ✔️ Customer happy. On to the next one 😁😁
Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaahhh, bootiful and that defo ain't going nowhere!
Solid shed base for sure 😁😁😁
Nice job tricky 👍
Great job. No hardcore needed?
Excellent, and the price was very reasonable.
😁😁😁
Great job 😁
Cheers Peter. The one I under priced 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤣🤣
Cracking job mate good to all sorts of work
Good job Tricky
Thanks brother 🙏
Great work as always, as for the price you charged you said you might have done yourself a bit short on money, but the customer will see your honesty and I bet he refers you to a neighbor or relative.
Very true
The cynic might say he’s not going to overprice a job that goes on UA-cam. Looks like a nice job though.
That was a lot of work, especially for one guy. You're an animal.
Thanks bud. Yeah I don't mind getting into it for sure. The customer was really impressed with the finish 😁😁
Lovely old job!
Thanks buddy 😁
Very fair pal in Pompey we’d be charging £1,700 without the mesh 👍
Oioi sexy man. How the devil are ya
All good pal been away few months staying in a HMP hotel 😂😂
Awesome job mate that was a lot of work for £1200 I think it should of been that without any material costs it’s hard work that is
Oi Oi Saveloy, hope you are well mate 🤟🏼
All good bro 😁😁 still alive 🤣🤣
why didnt you use the back wall that you previously built as a shutter for the concrete? wouldve saved some work no?
Good job tricky 💪👍
😁😁😁😁
No probs tricky 👍👍
NICE JOB
Cheers buddy 👍
good job what area do u work in ?
Hello mate,do you have to be careful the concrete doesn’t go of while you knocking up the next load.?
You do mate. I keep it nice and wet. Almost like rice pudding. And try and be a quick as you can.. the more hands the better. 😊😊
@@trickybrickys 👍
Great video just a shame you didn't show how you poured the perimeter footings. How much concrete did you need for those? I'm thinking of doing a similar project but for a greenhouse. I want to build a very small perimeter wall for the greenhouse to sit on and be fixed to. The wall only needs to be 2 bricks high. Do I need a concrete footing at all or can I lay onto a mortar bed on top of compacted hard core. The inside of the greenhouse will still be soil for growing stuff.
Concrete the whole garden. 24inch thick. Buy 🥕 from tesco 😉
😂 that would definitely cut down the amount if work needed in the garden and less weeding too. I'd probably have to remortgage the house though to pay for all that concrete.
Great job mate
Cheers bro 👌
Nice good work as always Adam
How many days work was it ?
What is snow crete?
White cement
That's the one . Blue circle call it snowcrete
Tidy m8
i noticed you never have a van what size is the trailer thing you attach to your car? can you get a mixer in it
Yes mate a mixer and a wheel barrow. It's 3ft by 4 ft 😁
only for a shed 4 bits of 4x2 and concrete it or have they won on the lottery
5* shed base 🤣🤣
NICE
😁😁😁
Where are you I need a base to be build just like that one but a bit smaller
Colchester buddy
@trickybrickys maybe your too far I am in Luton
This is some good work mate. Here in America we just frame around the string line using 2x4s and strip the 2x4s once the concrete is done
He wanted it to match the brickwork on this one. I think it looks well at the end 😁😁 cheers buddy appreciate your comment 👍
@tricky beickys. I need your services for the base of our garden shed measuring 16ft x 11ft. Would you kindly quote me for the job? Kind regards.
cowboy or what😂😂😂😂😂
i like you keep coming
nowt phases you eh ..good man👍@@trickybrickys
adam see u concrete straight on top of grass ,i no its only shed base should a bit of type 1 been put in just how we do them
Can't see it making any difference on that bud . Its Never going anywhere with the steel in it
Whats the material cost on this one?
bit over kill mate. should have just walled the front edge thats seen and shuttered the rest.....we are approx £13 per square foot. also should have had a DPM not that woven fabric shit. thing is though youl probs get a few more recommended jobs off of the back of that and also we are here watching you and commenting so your doing something right bruv. have a good christmas and a prosperous new year.
@@scoyle1750 the DPM is to stop rising damp up into the concrete so it doesnt crack on freeze thaw and blow. its also to stop the fresh poured concrete from drying out too quick during the curing/finishing process
@@scoyle1750 yeah right lol. your talking absolute fucking crap mate....do you even actually lay and finish concrete on a daily basis or do you just chat utter shite on youtube? if you pour a slab straight onto MOT type 1 or in your case.....sub grade dirt....it will suck the fkn life out of it in no time and make for a shitty finished weak slab
Too cheap adam mate🙈 don't cut ya self short mate......you're a top trowel/worker👍. You won't be able to afford ya hols underchargin🤣
Very true 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I should have gone in a few quid more but hey hoe all done ✔️ 😊
1200 labour and materials?
Close
2500 all day long
Will you come and build me one here please?
Hey mate I been away for a while watching mountain goats climb cliff faces. You sound all professional now. Ya still joke around cobber yeh?
😉😉
I'm doing OK bud. Nice to see ya back 😜
How many days on the job?
3 days buddy 😊😊
was that a solo job , surely a labourer there ?
Solo bro 💪💪💪
Easy…. Money.
How many Ton of ballast did this use & concrete use mate?
5 tonne 25 bags
@@trickybrickys ok cheers mate thank you
Oioi 😍
🤪🤪🫡🫡🫡
That wiz a wiz thinking be 4 you said 1500 why could you not pass the extra on to the Customer
I gave him a price bud. My fault I should have stuck a couple more on.. Live and learn 🫣😊
2k all day long
Live and learn hey 😆
The one time I used snowcrete was when we had to reduce the heights of some very tall chimneys in one of those towns we,ve lost to Katanga katanga.I could get lots of work from two really great guys I knew.
Anyway took a Geordie and a labourer along with me and I saw how impossible it would be without good scaffolding so went for breakfast in the Cafe opposite.I was the one who went up there to see.Geordie began moaning saying “why didn’t, you make a start when you were there, ffs”I said “ok after this you can see for yourself”
Geordie went up while I spoke to him from the ground. There were a few asymetric roof details up there.
Conversation ended and I couldn,t get a peep from him.I went up to see what was wrong and he wouldn’t move===Stage fright===I had hold of his legs and he was pissing himself with fright and I was pissing myself with laughter.Call the fire brigade to get this guy down I thought, too dear,==when he got down me and the labourer were in stitches and Geordie never turned up when got scaffolding.
Ended up a good job for us as the boss gave us lots more work.
Where you based mate?
Colchester Essex 😁😁
Why build two inches away from a wall, that's a space where weeds and trees can grow 🧐😠
If that's all u can pick on I win 🏆 🤣🤣🎣
Not worth hand mixing, better to get a mini mix out to the job. By the way if you’re working out dry mix quantity you need to add about 30%. When the dry mix becomes wet mix it reduces mass by about 30%.
Nice
2k plus materials all day long top job mate
Yeah I shot myself a bit short hey 🙈🙈 Looking back that guy recommended me for 3 jobs after that. So I might have lost on that one but I came good in the end. 😊😊😊
