This is absolutely fantastic to listen to. According to John, "When George first joined the group, we brought him in as a lead guitar player. I didn't know he could sing."
He also sang the least melodic, middle line throughout. Such a challenge to hear, let alone play it when you're sandwiched by strong voices singing much more distinctive, obvious lines. Genius.
Finally! This was a great find. I’ve always wanted to hear exactly what George was singing on this song. The harmonies are so close, it’s hard to hear George’s middle part. 😊
I agree. Well blended voices singing tight harmony can make it tricky to follow each part, but that's part of the joy of it. It's fun to hear Paul and George isolated this way. Crosby, Stills, Nash were the masters. George Harrison was a baritone with a head voice he slipped in and out of with ease. Baritone voices you'd probably recognize are John Oates (Hall & Oates), Darius Rucker (Hootie and the Blowfish), Mark Knopfler (Dire Straights), Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers). There is a video on UA-cam that's George Harrison watching young Beatles singing This Boy. George starts to sing along, and it's so sweet to see and hear. ❤
Its Georges harmony part that makes the song whole. Without it, it still would have been good, but that third part is what gave it the part that was needed.
What fun! Thanks for creating this. I wonder why people consider George's middle part difficult? It's actually pretty standard harmony, one third above the tonic. Huh, it just struck me that not only is it quite melodic, it's quite like George's "Do You Wanna Know a Secret" from the previous year! George's voice is such a good match to John's, too--similarly intense, focused in the mask, slightly nasal. Paul here adds a gentler rounder sound that softens the ensemble, keeps them from sounding _too_ whiny! He's so good with counterpoint, too. I love the grace notes/embellishments they both add to their lines. Always tasteful and don't draw you away from the melody. (I'm greedy: the bridge is so wonderful, I'd love to hear that too!)
Just a lil disappointed for I wanted to be John the whole song. Why not the whole song!? P +G still do the backing vocals, when he sings loudly 'Oh and this boy... would be happy' etc But just to hear them is still fab!

Paul's high harmonies are heavenly. He always surprises. He always had to do something special. Love him.
Pauls range is amazing. But I gotta say, as a a singer, George’s parts are so much harder
He sucks
Heavenly yes ❤️✨
This song was the proof that they were destined for greatness
George had very difficult harmonies. What talent those four had!
Harmonies like that remind me not to take them for granted.
Poor George always had the hardest parts to sing! But he would always excel❤
Some say the bari part is the most difficult because they are often singing the leftover notes. I think it's a fair assessment. 😅
Like a last note of She Loves You

IMO the most beautiful song ever written. Thank you.

So good. Nobody better
Queen's harmonies were better and more impressive
@@azloii9781 You're joking.

Wow that’s great
Paul...... _da bomb_
I never noticed Paul's goof at 1:02 XD
Amazing wow!
But...
The bridge...
Paul & George do some awesome ahhhs there...
Can you do nowhere man next please?
Sounds strange, and new. Tricky harmonies.
Damn that's very nice! Did you use Melodyne?
Paul would have sung all three parts if they had the tech for it back then.
Why?
George’s tone is what makes it sound so Bestley though.
He wouldn’t and couldn’t have sung that lead part like John did.
they actually had. paul sang both of melody and harmony on all my loving
@@ArtFlunky exactly
what kind of software did you use to separate vocals
Why is the middle bit cut out?
This is good. They copied the idea from the Rutle's That Guy. But good non the less!
🤣
Nobody's perfect, haha
🤣🤣🤣
Shocked and stunned
Wait! Where's the middle eight?

Was George in tune?
yep, he did the middle voice and the most complicated
@@tacobaez9104 true he had the hardest parts
Their raw harmonies can never be matched 😢!!
He sounded out of tune at the beginning.
