Gerry Bonner wrote this song on a napkin in a diner in Ayer Mass. I never noticed the flute parts at the end before. so thank you for that! Didn't they sing like Angels? I was 10 years old when this song was popular- hiking through the woods with five of my best buddies all around the same age when one of us started singing this song at the top of his lungs and immediately we all chimed in and to my surprise we all knew the words to the entire song. I'll never forget that moment.
