- Marilyn Monroe has that classic K Beauty Korean Skincare Glow. Before people worked hard to get dewey or glassy skin, Marilyn Monroe naturally had that look. How did she get it? And was it inspired by her trip to Seoul in 1954 or did she already and coincidentally have that 'glow up" from slugging her skin? Either way, Marilyn knew that clean, healthy skin was ideal for Hollywood glam. She adopted a skin first ritual way before Korean skincare made it to America; nevertheless, that look could be seen early on via marilyn who entertained the troops during the Korean War.

She was so beautiful!! I knew she used different colors of lipstick and vaseline . I can see why ppl love her to this day bc she had a body , she had hips what a woman should actually look like. Not what society think we should look like today, she had some meat on her bones I actually use castor oil as a scalp treatment. and it helped my scalp out so much because I had like really bad dandruff I don’t have it anymore. It basically cured my scalp.!!

Castor oil was used in the days before conditioner and the hair products were very harsh.marilyn naturally had lots of freckles, so she applied body make up to cover this .her hair was bleached every WEEK while filming by pearl PORTERFIELD. And kenneth BATTELLE was her new york hairdresser, who styled her hair for the happy birthday gala.a bit more research needed!!!!

I was talking about keeping her skin in a way that if shone through. She wanted the glowy look and didn’t want to get tan. Her belief in keeping it um touched by the sun which can happen w any skin tone. W her is was ivory that she was shooting for. My daughters from Ethiopia are the same one wants her natural “pure” skin to skin through. In her case it’s what she calls deep Carmel… stays out of the sun wearing hats etc. But she calls it pure. Her sister wants the bronze of the sun which would be impacted by the sun as she lays out and exposes it to the sun. She wants it as impacted by the sun and dark as possible. Marilyn took the approach of keeping it unaffected by the sun and as much in its natural “pure” untangled state to shine through. She wanted it as glassy white as possible. It’s not a race thing it’s a skin health thing . Keeping your skin un burned.
I think she wanted that "porcelain" look. Very clear & no pores.

It is a misnomer that vaseline clogs pores. It doesn't colg pores any more or anyless then any other product. I am also pretty sure she never used black liner just brown.
I heard she used brown, white, grey, black AND red!
