2009 outlander 4 wheel drive. I’ve thrashed my car for the past 10 years and been really bad with servicing etc. has had kids, bikes, dogs, river crossings, pulled other cars out of river bed that were stuck and 4x4 and it’s started sweet every time, the best car I’ve ever had. Only this year I had a transmission problem. Otherwise there are bloody awesome cars.

I have turbo version with 280000km bougjt used with 220000km. Changed rear subframe and all suspention, new clutch, and removed balance axles. So far runs great, driving hsrd and seen salt on roads, but not too much rust. Main problem rear arch, rear end "pockets" under rer bumper, and strut towers in front.

I got the 2006 2.4 at around 190 000 km ... Now over 230 000 ... I have experienced most of the troubles mentioned and resolved them in 🇿🇦 , bent valves, top gasket leak, timing belts breaking, messed up the water pump when trying to fix it myself, front and rare suspension, bushes, almost everything. Fixed every problem as it came n car is as good as I got it, even performs much better. This car has lots of power, I'm yet to come across a mud I can't pass, the 4x4 is great. Pulled my 4ton truck with it up heel without shortage of power , climbed mud mountain with ease.... Simply the best.

you lied about fuel consumption, I have 2006 for almost 10 years, it consumed 11 litters per 100 km with regular driving . no other problems accept regular maintenance. it drives like a pro, very though car

One question do you have one of these? Because mine has no rust and has never given me any problems.. two years and not one, I’ve taken it off road without any worries so many times. Remember it’s how you take care of your vehicle that matters.

I can't get the car from running rough, like its to rich or timing is off, the intake manifold has been replace which did nothing, getting it to run smooth or even idle smooth has not been a success yet, most sensors aren't made for the car anymore so cheap Chinese sensors are the only options which haven't worked either, if anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated, thank you

I have 2.4L xls non turbo awd 2005 outlander with the mileage of 157,000 kms . The problem I countered is slow pick up and the cruise control is not working . I adjusted the throtlle position sensor same with the accelerator pedal control , now working fine.

Hi, i have an 2006 Outlander 2.0petrol manual gearbox with 182 000km on it.
Common problems i have discovered and experienced on these cars are severly rust on the rear and front subframe as they are porely painted and not protected, rust on top of fuel tank and on filler tube inside wheel housing, bad wheel bearings rear, and the clutch on mine is know worn down and must be replaced.
Rust is especially a problem in countries where salt is used on the roads wintertime.
If you have a good car i recommend getting an underbody rust treatment, especially in front and rear subframe. I also noticed that the front foglights are bad and needs replacing due to oxcidation inside the lamps reflectors, propably due to driving in salted roads wintertime and not washed often enough. Otherwise it feels like a responsive engine that likes high revs(over 4.000rpm without problems) and i feel the engine is reliable IF its been serviced often with good oil of course!

Hi, thank you! Have you had any major repairs, related to turbo or engine? Would you recommend the car?

    • @oddarnestrand2047

@@wisemoney3204 Hi, my car is a non turbo. I have had some big repairs yes, like rear subframe, clutch kit, timing belt with balancer belt and water pump and complete brakes front and rear.
I would recommend the car if it has been regularly serviced and not been driven too much in salty roads, but do a good check up on the car and i think you will be ok.
      Good luck.
Ps: I repair all on my cars myself, and also takes care of body/paint issues with often washing(by hand of course😜)

Can you tell me the consumption of your car...i recently buy a 2006 2.0 petrol non turbo 136hp and average consumption is 12l/100km most of the time driving highway not more than 130km/h

@@tuser333 that sounds like maybe abit high consumption, but if you're closer to 130km/h most of the time i would think thats maybe not so high.

Of course I found this video after I bought mine. Found a 2006 2.4 LS with 165,000 miles on it. has 169k now. The only problems I've had with it so far are that I have a squealy accessory on a cold start (I haven't looked to see which one for certain yet.), and one of my hoses for the power steering pump has a slight leak and both boots have torn, slinging grease everywhere, But I've seen that on many vehicles. otherwise I've recently replaced the outer tie rods because the old ones were no good.
