This is the most entertaining car review I've seen. I love how you tell me all the things I want to know about it without boring manufacturer specs I could have looked up without a video.
I am actually checking out the German spec'd versions of this car from 2007-2010 with the VW 2.0TDI 140hp engine. Great engine, great torque 320nm excellent fuel economy.
Xls brings 2 more cup holders in the rear in the middle of the middle seat wich is also an arm rest. There are bottle holder on all 4 doors. It's a great car but likes they said off road wise it's alright.
I have the 2007 ES and it's been my favorite car I've ever owned. 160k miles and going strong. Gas, oil, tires.. oh and the air conditioner compressor.. but I think that was a phantom damage thing from hitting a deer last year... o.O
i drive the predecessor of this model in finnlands unpaved , and very ice & snowrich roads... it pulled our pigger pajero out of the mud a couple of times (with just 130 horsepowers.. nobody needs more, unless he drives a tank) its absolutely brilliant in rain snow and to some limited extend also off the road.. but at some point, id then switch to a traktor anyways. br, from the nothest part of the EU.
Best review yet! Lol I finally narrowed down my decision to a Outlander or Honda Element here in the States. I love the split hatch on this and all the steering wheel controls. Doesn’t seem to fuel efficient though. And I’d like to possibly take out the rear seats to sleep but not sure how difficult that’ll be. Probably just a few bolts. Anyways the one I’m looking at has 166k, exteriors great but interior is pretty beat up. The left side steering wheel controls for audio don’t work at all.
I get it you weren't driving a personal vehicle, but Mitsubishi's AWC system requires more wheelspin to get it moving uphill. I've seen them handle worse than that...
i have an outlander bought 2k7. aparrantly the european variant is very different from this one. stick shift, perma AWD, own radio of choice, no silly third seat row, more distance to ground (more offroad if you will) , and most other gadgets shown in this vid i see the first time :-) our outlander pulled out the bigger meaner "pajero" from the mud a few times:-)
@jewelzQ8 i have mitsubishi outlander 2007 with 2.0 TDI from VW,chipped by Ralliart with 180+Hp and 400 Nm.At any rev at any speed it sticks you in to the chair.I raced an opel vectra v6 3.0,Skoda octavia 2.0,Ford mondeo 2.2,Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 and won .I actually outran a 2002 Porsche Cayenn 3.2 V6 . I was trying to overtake him from 100 kmh . We both accelerated to around 170 kmh staying head to head but after 170 i overtook him. After that i was doing 200kmh. And it does 40 MPG!!!
the engine on the 2005-present Mitsubishi Outlander Engine 4B11 2.0 L DOHC MIVEC I4 (Japan) 4B12 2.4 L DOHC MIVEC I4 6B31 3.0 L SOHC MIVEC V6 VW 2.0 L TDI PSA DW12 2.2 L HDI 4N14 2.3 L Di-D MIVEC
I'm looking at vehicles similar to the way the Honda Element opens in the rear, and Google search showed this vehicle as a possibility. You really zipped past that part. Too bad this doesn't offer slow motion, other than continued replays.
and a tank would walk over both. whats your point? if you compare cars - or boxers, you have to stay in the same class. heavyweight? no the outlander is no heavyweight. It is a crossbreed for tarmac and tough situations, however it is no pathfinder, defender or pajero.... we are all very well aware of that. However, take it from someone living in the finnish forrest, with no tarmac roads and extreme weatherconditions - the outlander has never let me down here... if i need more, i use tractor
It's called "Carmedy" but there's no good jokes. "DC outlet for charging up snacks..." There are dumb jokes that are funny, then there are jokes that are so dumb they're not even funny. This entire video is one of them.
sisubilly yes but this has better fuel economy and cheapest road tax in its class , if you get the 2.0 or 2.2 diesel , so it's the cheapest 4×4 too run out there , unless you want a Dodge journey, if. you get the Outlander warrior the front end looks more muscular
bmw has zero experience in building offroad cars. take it from a german. they just look big, and - in europe - only serve as status symbol. If it has to be german built luxury, then get a mercedes benz 4x3 - army class, (not the fancypancy windtunnel crap) - in terrain, even a VW polo would run away from a x6. If you know what i mean. I own a pajero (serious offroader, but 20+ yrs old) a small freelander and a mitzu outlander - and the best comfort/reliability balance is outlander

Mitsubishi is a great car manufacturer...its a shame that more people don't appreciate them. The Evo, Outlander and Galant VR4 all rock!!!

@ 2:33 the newer model of the Outlander with AWC or S-AWC will DEFINITELY climbed up that hill!

V6 is okay, 4 is so so..
In Russia cost from 34000 $
I don't own one but it looks way better than the forrester, which is really boring-looking and outdated.

I like the review - But an Outback would walk all over this.
