considering MechaG finds Zanscare Empire MS look weird wait until he saw most of the Jupiter Empire's MS from Crossbone Gundam, check out the EMS-07 Erebado, it is basically the Xenomorph from the Alien franchise as a MS.
So i ended up checking out the Erebado, and holy hell this thing’s a literal xenomorph MS. The back thrusters and clear head is enough to recognize the resemblance.
it's giving off a Kamen Rider The Bee vibe from Kamen Rider Kabuto. not to mention the Kimaris Trooper and Flauros's head/face designs looks like Eternal and Decade's head/face. (well, to me at least)
Victory Gundam is weird mobile suits flying with beam propellers, space motorcycles, 18th century Guillotines, and very insect looking units. Marbet is best girl.
Man, this looks more like an Aura Battler from Dunbine than a Mobile Suit; if course both are by Tomino. Here's hoping we see more of those beam rotors in case they do the transforming Zanscare Suits-the old Tomliat kits were too small and stylized to convert to Mobile Armor/copter mode.
Bandai has been on the slow incline of making more and more things webshop only. Because those are paid to order. So every single one they make is already sold
The shoulder designs made me think of a modified Shokew that transforms into a Rhino Beetle. The conversion borrows from Lio Convoy for the upper body but maybe the left arm goes over the head so the rotor sticks out of the beetle's carapace so it can fly. Said carapace would mostly open up and fold over onto the back as a cape-like booster pack.
When I first saw the Gundam Flauros I felt a connection to it that pushed me to build it as my First Ever Model kit let alone HG model kit. Its strange but I feel a similar pull towards this kit and it may become my first 1/100 Model Kit. And its thanks to you that I had this chance to see it ^^ thankyou.
Would love to see a custom of this. Namely make it look like a Gundam Kamen Rider. They red eyes would already be perfect and it's pronounced feet would make for a Dynamic Rider Kick

The kit is just so out there, obscure, and odd that bandai feels like they may not get as big of a return on it, so they banished it to the realms of P-Bandai.....also i'm not still bitter about how they handled the woundworts...not at all.
Agreed. I kinda see why they thought that with the Woundwort but they dropped the ball with Shokew, imo. They sold out of their p Bandai shipments within the day, twice in a row. I'd know. I missed the second one when I was at work. >.>
@@moonlightbuterfly Unfortunately, while Wing is popular in the west, in Japan, Wing is only about as popular as maybe Victory or something, and the kits reflect that. UC, OO, Seed, and now IBO and Build are popular in Japan so they'll get more mainstream releases (or any releases at all for some suits). It is what it is. In some cases though, it might be a case of them playing it too safe. Endless Waltz MGs of the custom Gundams would probably sell well enough as mainstream releases but that's the choice they made.

And for kits, it's also kinda held back by being on the older side. 20 years old for us and 25-ish years old in Japan. The HG line primarily started with UC but then also gave some focus to Seed since it was around the same time. Yeah, it's interesting with the English texts, I agree. But that might be as far as it goes for a while. Japan's domestic demand comes first and international seems like more of an afterthought. Also, I know I said Build is probably popular in Japan but I actually have no idea, as I stopped keeping up with it a while ago. 00 Diver and the funky core gundams seem to be selling pretty well though.
This was one of my first Gundam kits that were released as a 1/144 scale back then with almost no color separation, it was along with a pink THICC MS with 3 cannon holes on its chest that also had shoulder claws and an optional weapons set that fit F91 (?) among many others. I still have the scraps to this day, and I'm 27
It would be cool if these types of kits get a full release later on if they sell a lot of them first on p-bandai as at that point bandai would see that the kit has demand and they could capitalize on that
@@leonardode-pinchy3234 uh no, Power Rangers is just an American adaptation of the Super Sentai series and Kamen Rider is like its sister series as both were made by Toei and chronologically Kamen Rider predates Super Sentai and is not the same at all in concept, live-action superhero and special effects shows in Japan are called Tokusatsu which includes Ultraman and Godzilla.
Hands down one of my personal favorite Universal Century non-Gundam designs. I'm glad both this & the *Messer* are getting the attention they deserve this year. :D
just a heads up, the first couple episodes of Victory Gundam are out of order because Bandai wanted the Victory Gundam to show up in episode 1. but i guess still watch it in the order presented anyway?? but yeah, technically this is the first mobile suit Uso Ewin ever pilots, even before the Victory Gundam
It also sets up Chronicle as the lamest Char Clone of the IP, being introduced as a grown ass man getting physically overpowered by a 12 year old and thrown out of the cockpit of this same machine
the bug motif is part of BESPA design... Bespa logo is a Bee/japanese hornet and the various custom units have either bug designs or bug traits... but it could be just SNRI elements.. since Side 2 Branch is their maker. and their MS "eyes" narrowing tend to be animated to show multiple sensors in each eye.. just like insect compound eyes
You should defo watch victory, I still regard it as the darkest series in the universe, and it has cool suit designs, especially for BESPA as they come up with some crazy unique designs like the this, the Shokew, the Gedlav and Einrad wheel units and fricken motorcycle battleships!
Maybe you ought to start ranking each category of a gunpla individually throughout the video and then giving them an overall ranking at the end. Platinum build quality but silver articulation ect.
Victory is one of my favorite era, the story is a bit depressing but hey, it's war, what do you expect. The design of the mech suits are right in the middle of just right and slightly wonky, definitely less crazy than Crossbone era. Why not just release it as regular release, I don't understand Bandai. I thought the rule of thumb was P-Bandai are for modified kits while original kits are regular release.

Probably this eas planned at the beginning of the year, but after the start of pandemic Bandai decided to move it to p bandai to unsure it will be sold and shipped in nearby countries (up until last month most countries had troubles importing from Asia)
my guess was it was originaly a standard release but for some reason only god can understand they changed it so last minute the packaging and decals werent changed! it might have benn in its box ready to go when they made the switch
My guess is that they planned this kit to have a full production run, but they realized they couldn't gauge demand for a Victory grunt RE 1/100 kit. Hopefully they'll do another run in the near future!
If they release the Zanneck they better include all its bells and whistles, including its flying platform, mega beam cannon, plus effects for its particle accelerators.
I know Late UC is weird, but I'll be honest I love every little damn thing about it. It has weird, but fantastic designs and abilities. When it comes to those designs, I'mma say my opinion and may burn me if you wish. However, here's my opinion. Gundam Unicorn designs < Late UC designs

A shame they couldn't have the cockpit open and have the eye shutters move instead of replacing the eyes. The shutters are cracked open in normal operation so that line down the center of the shutter should be red.
Hi, I don't know if you can help me with this but i haven't found an answer elsewhere. I have the bandai action base 1 and the top part of the peg is super loose. Every time I try to display my 1/100 MG heavyarms on it, it just flops over like it can't take any weight. I tried tightening the screw but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Gundam had wacky designs since the OG show...this is a tame design compared to most early uc suits

crossbone was weird, a space ship that looks like a pirate ship
