Ot husband is retiring at 64 next year September 2025 . We will be leaving the USA and we are going to slow travel for one year before deciding what country we want to live out rest of our lives. Malaysia is going to he our first stop plus visiting the surrounding countries etc. Watching this video is making us even more excited. Georgious hotel and great videos on Malaysia.
Hello, Malaysia marching with its lofty glory, upwards, and land, whose sand, Mountains, plateaus, beaches, landscapes , we love its sand and plains we love♥️🇲🇾♥️
Thank you for this wonderful video. Hope that you guys have had a good, pleasant stay at the luxurious E&O Hotel in Georgetown. Your suite is tastefully decored, beautiful.
20:22 I think this is the EO hotel in Penang which three of thier rooms considered so HAUNTED👹 and prohibited to anyone (which also include the stafs) - prohibited since the early 70s... Guess what... you are not alone 😰
No freaking way! My financé and I stayed at room 107 in August! 😂 Going back to the E&O for Christmas and New Year's Eve! Great video, as always! Much love from Germany 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Colonial-style and heritage hotels are my favourites. There are other historic hotels in Penang, however the most of them have lost their original characteristic because they have merely kept the exterior and features intact while altered the interior to suit contemporary tastes. The old E & O Hotel however still retains its colonial décor from the British heyday. In 1974, while still in school, I accepted a UK visitor's invitation to have dinner at this hotel. The majority of the hotel's guests at the time were European. The E & O Hotel is Southeast Asia's oldest hotel. It was built in 1885 by the well-known Armenian hotelier family Sarkies Brothers, at the height of British colonisation. The Sarkies family also built the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, the Strand Hotel in Yangon, the Majapahit Hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia. If you're interested in colonial-style hotels, you might want to check out the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the Majestic Hotel in Melaka, the Cameron Highlands Resort, and The Danna in Langkawi.
We stayed here, beautiful hotel. Unfortunately our experience was so bad due to rude staff and no service that we cut our stay short and left after 2 days of a week long stay. No matter how beautiful the hotel, staff can make or break it. This was our second stay in a corner suite - first stay also not great on service either but so much worse the second time! The only reason we rebooked was the room and location.
Their lunch buffet is my go if I only have one day in Penang. You get all the best foods of Penang in one place. (Of course it’s a bit expensive, and not the best of the best, but so good and convenient)
No matter what tourist say our country is great the reality Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia always win in world stage. Just recent rankings of best cities in the world Kuala Lumpur rank 50th but Singapore rank 5th and Bangkok ranks 32nd. It's very unfortunate this happens to Malaysia. Just because it's majority Muslim westerners does not really think of kuala Lumpur or Malaysia as a whole for their first visit to South East Asia instead they will always go to Thailand Indonesia ( Bali) and Singapore before they even thought of coming to Malaysia. Some come for visa runs. This is the reality. It's Sad that Malaysia is awesome country.
Erm. I actually prefer Malaysia remain underrated 😌. And to compare Malaysia and Singapore are bit weird, since Singapore itself pretty much are 'city-state'. 😌
Hi, again. Have you two ever stayed in the Raffles Hotel 🏨 in Singapore 🇸🇬 ? It is also the grandest hotel in Singapore and has a rich history behind it as well. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What’s the problem with women these days? Can’t they speak with their original voice tone 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️.. what so cool of using fry vocal @ affectation during talk 🤦🏾♂️

Hi, again. Have you two ever stayed in the Raffles Hotel 🏨 in Singapore 🇸🇬 ? It is also the grandest hotel in Singapore and has a rich history behind it as well. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
No we haven’t!
The same Sarkies Brothers built both these hotels back then.
Beautiful hotel. 😊 Reminds me of the Raffles in Singapore
That’s what another person said! Haha
It's built by the same Sarkies Brothers. But I believe they built the E&O first before The Raffles.
🌹🌹👍
