Sad to see no mention of SCH Davis (Sammy) who won at Le Mans and Brooklands having survived WWI (having lost two brothers in that war) He then went on to write for Autocar, authored numerous books on racing and was something of an artist who along with many humorous cartoons also designed an early version of the Aston Martin badge. Sadly he died in a house fire in his nineties while his wife was in hospital!
While stating that the drivers of the 3-litre, No 10, at Le Mans 1925 were John Duff and Frank Clement, the video shows the dashboard plaque, clearly inscribed: "Drivers: Mr Kensington Moir, Dr J.D. Benjafield". Duff and Clement drove No 8 to 4th place in 1924, the previous year. Also, having said that the Duff/ Clement car was the first Bentley factory car at Le Mans, the presenter goes on to claim they had no factory support! In fact, it was privately entered, but with just a little factory support. These Petrolicious vids have become very poorly researched - just see the dog's dinner Sam Hancock recently made of his Lancia Aurelia B20 'review'. Even the title is just clickbait. Having spent a few dismissive minutes on the Bentley Boys (mainly just John Duff, however), the remainder of the piece is all about the latest Bentley footballer's express. Bring back the owner-and-car vids - true people, true cars, true stories!
I don't get any connection between that footballer's monstrosity and a genuine Bentley. Sadly nothing much of interest here and I didn't like the zooming in and out of the pictures. Disappointing.
Love these vintage racers...just awe-inspiring! Really cool history!

I used to be in a rock band called The Bentley Boys. We had a raucous and rapid yet refined sound.
Lol any record of this band? You've piqued my interest.
This was good gentlemen, thank you.
Big difference between a Walter Owen Bentley and a modern Wolfgang Otto Bentley. Vintage Bentleys have a soul, modern Bentleys do not.
Id love to see a lightweight Bentley.
Thats IS the light weight.....
You'd have to sacrifice a virgin squirrel blood while dancing ballroom fused with cha cha next to the kkk members for that to happen
The Bentley Speed 8 LeMans racer, 2001 2nd pl, Winner 2003, is a light race car. Beautiful too.
This is an extremely British video, i feel like i need a sip of tea while watching it!
Oh and the interior of that Bentley does look cheap.

"Bentleys are still making history today" no sir. Audi is...with a Bentley badge.
I'd love to see some more racing or sporty Bentleys.
What’s that oil drip I see under that car. Nice looking motor but a bit leaky ?
25ltr fuel tank?
hi carfection
