I agree with you, son. There are gazillions of breakdowns around but the build up to this one is just immense. The lyrics from the beginning up to the end, then BOOM RIP moshpit
One of the most legendary breakdowns ever. I had the privilege to hear it live at Chicago Warped Tour 2011. This and Back Burner had the crowd going ape shit.
I love ABR. Every album they make is amazing. Their worst songs top the best songs of tons of Metalcore. Heck, I'm so glad ABR exists. Nowadays "Metalcore" bands are going all poppy and they try to get fans with catchy-ness and poppy sounds. All that does is create more scenies that will brokencyde is a great band... or other bands like that.. Thank God for ABR. They keep Metalcore, Metalcore.
The first time I hear d this song was at warped tour. I forgot the name, but when I just clicked it and heard it, I instantly remembered it because it is that beaast.
Actually, Jake Luhrs once explained that they are indeed using the official definition of bastard, meaning a child born out of wedlock. Obviously, they don't mean the literal translation. I'll try and find where I saw Jake post that and link it, if I can.
@The11Lime sorry to say but thats whats on your mind. If not you would have noticed that its aplumbing pipe just like all other houses that are built properly.
@zeJunkbox The finisher, Shed Your Soul, Hush Yael, Dealers of Fame, Wake of Pigs. Just to name a few of my fav's. They are almost on ABR's level. Not quite though.
all of you saying this sounds like their last album makes me sick doesn't every band make their next album equal to or better than their last thats like saying your poop from yesterday was like the same from today i listen to rap and hear the same thing over and over again this is not just good this is phenomenal god bless abr
@Duckman118 The lyrics of Attack! Attack! weren't too bad when they started, but it's all ruined now. Underoath and TDWP are what got me into Metalcore at 13, and I love them so much. Then I found ABR and immediately loved them. Lately I've been listening to Emery. They're Christian/faith related. They're more post hardcore, but I recommend you check them out. Their lyrics are beautiful. They know what they're talking about. They just recently got signed to SolidState.
@spacitydrummer4JC really? I think this album has a very unique sound compared to all of their other material. But I would agree that of all the songs on Leveler, this one is most similar sounding to their previous album, except for the middle section.
This is referring to the use of the word "bastard" in the song. First, it was used in the Bible. Second, if you read the lyrics "You bastard, look at what you have become. Your breath reeks of perversion." As we all know bastard means a child born without the father being married to the mother. Maybe this "bastard" had their father walk out on them now their resorting to other things to have a loving feeling that they didn't get when they were kids i.e promiscuous sex, porn, etc. just a thought
@sonofbeast87 Yeah I will.. I like this album a bit better because on the last one, the beginning of the songs just weren't the greatest but then this one had changed that alot. XD
@fighter5091 Having meaning doesn't automatically make a song have good lyrics lol. There are plenty of pop songs out there that have 'meaningful' lyrics but that doesn't make them 'well written' per say. August burns red has great lyrics either way. :D
@Duckman118 Right! It's like they have something special in them besides being talented. They're always strong and unmoving in their beliefs! Asking Alexandria and Attack! Attack! are sooooo boring. BOTDF is even worse. In fact,on a scale of one to ten, BOTDF is one and BrokeNCYDE is under that. I can tolerate Attack! Attack! I respect them for trying to be more unique when they started out, but they've gone from unique band to a generic poser band in only a short few years.
@zeJunkbox Dude, i know! Honestly i prefer the Christian/faith related Metalcore bands, like Killswitch Engage, As i Lay Dying, Oh, Sleeper, Times of Grace, August Burns Red, Underoath, just a few off the top of my head. Im sick of the poser bands like Asking Alexandria and Attack! Attack! ruining the Metalcore genre with there lame breakdowns and terrible lyrics...
Who else here listening for the differences in the re-release?
Lol me
Yep lol
I think this one is better a lil faster and more raw to me 😁😈🤌
Never left
This one is way way better in my opinion ... unique sound
When I heard the breakdown at 3:48 for the first time, my jaw literally dropped. I still can't close my mouth.
A true face melter
COWAAAAAAAARRRD
His mouth is still open
@@mrsounds632 My life since then has been challenging to say the least
@@MercuryHg34 drink some coffee and blast some ABR brother, I’ll be praying for peace and restoration in your life
years later....still get pumped at that breakdown. literally the hardest in the genre.
I agree with you, son. There are gazillions of breakdowns around but the build up to this one is just immense. The lyrics from the beginning up to the end, then BOOM RIP moshpit
It's the "COWARRRD!" - favorite breakdown, hands down.
One of the most legendary breakdowns ever. I had the privilege to hear it live at Chicago Warped Tour 2011. This and Back Burner had the crowd going ape shit.
The dissonant guitar build up to it increases the tension, which makes it hit that bit harder.
this is one of the only violent august burns red songs, and it is AWESOME
One of the most epic call out!
COME ON I JUST BOUGHT THE ALBUM "CONSTILATIONS" NOW IM GOING TO HAVE TO BUY THIS ONE TOO???
This album is amazing on vinyl
just saw them last night here in okinawa japan!!

I always found this one so epic. ❤
The bridge at 1:47 🤩

8 years later you are still right
The first time I hear d this song was at warped tour.

Still slaps 2022
bad ass song !
Huh that's interesting! I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know!
@The11Lime sorry to say but thats whats on your mind. If not you would have noticed that its aplumbing pipe just like all other houses that are built properly.
0:31 anyone else hear that cowbell?? sounds dope for some reason
@The11Lime
I believe thats some sort of exhaust port, my good man!
@punky0410 thats a tough call man,both bands are really awesome,you like the famine?
@IROCK80551 - Yeah, honestly i feel like each record that they release always seems a bit stronger than the last, but I love them all!
I just lost it at the "Your crown is like a lion's mouth" part. Violent, but true.
I LOVE that imagery!
@WakingTheCore I don't think I've ever heard Oh, Sleepers stuff. Any song recommendations?
@zeJunkbox The finisher, Shed Your Soul, Hush Yael, Dealers of Fame, Wake of Pigs.
Just to name a few of my fav's. They are almost on ABR's level. Not quite though.
Wow. I never knew ABR said Bastard. That's cool.
all of you saying this sounds like their last album makes me sick doesn't every band make their next album equal to or better than their last thats like saying your poop from yesterday was like the same from today i listen to rap and hear the same thing over and over again this is not just good this is phenomenal god bless abr
@Iinemanz i know abr does i was talking about asking alexandrias lyrics
@IROCK80551 -haha do it man they're both great records!
Heavy enough to kill an octopus.
WOOT ABR RULEZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
@Duckman118 The lyrics of Attack! Attack! weren't too bad when they started, but it's all ruined now.

it was part of his drum solo :)
@joshuag94 Alright, that's not really what I meant. By asking that I meant why they said it but thanks for clarifying it up for me.
I FEEL LIKE THIS RELATES SO MUCH TO ALL THE BS GOIN ON AROUND THE WORLD ATM. 2021 IS FUCKED!
@castlemeister the lyrics are in the video.....you can answer that question for yourself....
@spacitydrummer4JC really? I think this album has a very unique sound compared to all of their other material. But I would agree that of all the songs on Leveler, this one is most similar sounding to their previous album, except for the middle section.

@spimmyjahn i said this in response to those who said it felt to much like Constellations, I wasn't actually asking for an answer
you one person out there who disliked !! you are the poor millionaire !!
Do they?! Or art thou eyes and ears deceiving them? :)
@Purplesk8erz I don't get it?
I guess Mat is gonna have to come up with a new live solo..
Honestly like this version better, you can hear more Of the high end... New version sounds like the high pass filter is up all the way
@castlemeister np bro
@fighter5091 Agreed.
@ParkwayDrive2012 August Burns Red has some of the best lyrics, what are you even talking about?
@sonofbeast87 Yeah I will.. I like this album a bit better because on the last one, the beginning of the songs just weren't the greatest but then this one had changed that alot. XD
1:15 to 1:45 is so tasty.
no he does not... please tell me where?
@LukeJ60 Poor Millionaires who elsa!
@fighter5091 Having meaning doesn't automatically make a song have good lyrics lol. There are plenty of pop songs out there that have 'meaningful' lyrics but that doesn't make them 'well written' per say.
August burns red has great lyrics either way. :D
@The11Lime its a fucked up looking chimney, we understand that lol
@fighter5091 but an example of a song i thought had horrible lyrics was not the american average.
dude matt greiner is a fucking god *_*
breakdown button! 3:48
@ 1:19
YOUR DOG, IS DRESSED LIKE A WHOOOOORRE!!!
@spimmyjahn lol i wasn't either! just clarifying :D
@Duckman118 kse is not a christian band tho
the ones who dislike reading problems, they read "dis-i-like" instead of dislike :D
Constellations was great, why can't they try and get the same feel?
STAND UP WITH SARMAT, ....

Eight people are potatoes :)
examples d:

Sounds like Hollywood...
A bit djent. Nice!
Since both words are used in the Bible, I'd say he's safe using them.
LOL.
This band will always be amazing no matter how much you click dislike XD
Ps. Go and listen to your Disney music cuzz your make me sick.
just realized abr never swears, lol
I think they're talking more of politicians than the church or Christians.
Hmm... I didn't know that the Pope had a youtube account.
wow my throat is really dry today....
He says bastard too, not sure if that's considered a swear word though? lol
@sonofbeast87 Yeah I love them all too!! This is probably one on the best bands I know. They have their own special sound I love so much.
IT SAYS SEX IN THE TEXTBOOK LOLOLOLOLOL
There are 8 millionaires who watched this vid
8 people are cowards :D
in back burner he says fuck, in american dream
he doesn't, i looked it up
they say bastard in this song haha
Im not going to lie they are a great band but unlike many people i think oh, sleeper is way better then them. (thumbs up if you agree)

@zeJunkbox Dude, i know!
