- Citroen Relay installing side and rear windows was an easy job, Citroen Relay window installation was not a bad job at all, although time consuming.
Fitting rear window installing Citroen relay was the easiest as they're smaller and easier to carry on your own. Fitting side windows in a Citroen relay was very time consuming as there is more metal to cut away.
I opted for the sliding windows for the sides with incorporated bug net, and sliding windows for Citroen relay.
This process i did can be the same for Fiat Ducato window installation and could even be the same for Peugeot Boxer window installation.
I am not a professional at window installations for Citroen Relay, so please do your own research before attempting to under go any type of cutting.
As always, many thanks for watching. See you in the next video.
I usually drill 1 hole then take the foot off the jigsaw and follow the inner skin put 8 windows on mine so got better as I went along down to 30min but just thought I’d share that way with you to possibly try
Cracking job Dave, enjoy following this build.
Hi Garry, thanks so much buddy, hopefully the next video you will see a bit more of progress 😀
You made that look easy, looking forward to the next instalment.
Hey hey, that's what the editing is for 🤣🤣 in all honesty, after fitting the windows in my previous van (where I was pooping it) I felt alot more confident doing this.
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
Great progress and great workmanship Dave.
Liking forward to the next one.
Cheers John much appreciated chap. Hope you're well matey
I give you some excellent closure lines and you went with go steady lolol. Nice to see the good lady pitching in with the build. Excited to see it develop

Hey, thanks so much 🙏
Hi Dave, great job, all neat and tidy...you make it look so easy, but I'm sure it's not. Love seeing the progress. Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Take care, Kathy
Hey Kathy, thank you so much for your kind words.
Certainly not easy work, but we managed to get there 😊😊
I proper pooped myself when I did mine, Dave. I had visions of cutting too big a hole. Thankfully I didnt and both windows turned out fine. Like you I was so chuffed. Nice vlog as usual. Bessy regs-Kenny
Hey Kenny, ah mate I know exactly how you feel, first time I did mine, I think we're all capable of doing it, bit I think our minds run a bit wild at times with all the 'what ifs'
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
Dave mate, they look smart, every single one of them. You have some balls attempting that job - i would of paid someone to do it
Cheers Steve, it was certainly a twitchy moment at times, but we got there. Thank you for watching 👀
Nice one did my widows the same way, looking good
Cheers chap, always a bit nerve wracking, but got there 😁
Well done Dave, a bit scary doing the cutouts I know, looks the Biz now though, see you on the next one ⛰🥾⛺️👌
Hey Paul, thanks so much chap, I always have thoughts of how one cut can be 'costly' 🤣 luckily this one came out well.
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
What’s your Instagram mate so I can follow you

Thank you for watching

@@taffsdestination2369 yes mate, soon as its somewhat near ready. I'll be in touch
Looking nice Dave, hopefully on the Devon van the window fitting wasn’t as nerve racking lol. Van looking good. Maxxx
Hey max, thanks so much for the kind comment, I did enjoy doing this job. I must admit, it makes vansexual look alot more 'campery' 🤣🤣
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
Looking good! You've done a decent job with fitting those windows, I don't dare do mine myself so I'm taking it to have one proper, only having a slide door one at the moment and see how I go on. Looking forward to the next update! At the end of videos you could say "see you again on the next outdoors" or something along those lines 😂
Hey. Thanks so much for the kind comment 😀 the first time you do it, is very scary I must admit. I keep thinking though, one wrong cut and it gets costly 🤣🤣
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
@@DaveOutdoors no worries mate! 😊 oh yeah I bet it is and it’s always a thought of it’s going to get costly if I do it wrong isn’t it haha 😂 I’m looking forward to watching the build and the good thing is you’re kind of in parallel to where I’m up to with my van too, just done the sound deadening and moving on to insulation this week then carpeting! Oh and a floor to cut too! 🤣
@@mpdale90 I've seriously cracked on with the van this weekend. I've now got a maxxair fan in the roof, solar panel on the roof ( not wires up) and just fitted the electric hook up. Haven't filmed anything as such, but got plenty of B Roll to share.
@@DaveOutdoors oh that sounds like some great progress and additions! I’ve got some wiring to remove for lights that British Gas put in my van and they connected their power to the original interior lights wiring, If I need to cut that would I need to disconnect the battery to the van first to be on the safe side?
@@mpdale90 always live by the phrase. If in doubt disconnect power supply 👍
It must be an age or a confidence thing, I would be shaking like a shitting dog cutting into the side of a van.
Nice to see steady progress being made Dave 👍
Hey Neil,
Felt confident doing this, especially as its pretty similar to the vivaro.
Bit of a template and drill around.
Thank you for watching
Dave ☺️
Excellent job and won’t be long before I’m cutting mine out 😁. Do you have the links for the windows please 👌🏻
Hi there, apologies for the late reply, if you search trade glass UK and click citroen relay, it will bring up all the options available to you. Hope this helps.
One more question, can you tell us the name of the rubber gasket, and where to buy it...thanks
See you've got your sound deadening in place already, we're at this stage, what product did you go for and would you rate it? Cheers!
Hey, I just used some cheap product off ebay for the majority of it. Done the job well I must say.
Looks great mate! I'm trying to do a conversion myself with no experience - can I ask what the primer's for?
Join the club pal, I have no experience either 🤣🤣 the primer is to give the masterbond silicone something good to stick to chap.
@@DaveOutdoors thanks mate -you wouldn't know, you've made it look easy!! Also, do you know where you got the window trim from for the side and rear windows? I can't find them anywhere!
@@Georgelovessurf cheers chap, it comes as part of the kit where I got windows from.
If you get stuck, and require it on its own.
Here is a link to the trim, just check that's stuff you mean though

@@DaveOutdoors really appreciate that mate! Mine didn't come with a kit so that's super helpful :) Looking forward to seeing your van evolve!
You're welcome chap, best of luck with the build
I notice u have an alpine top on! Do you work for them? Or just a fan 😁
I work for Castrol who sponsor Alpine. But yes I do have some dealings with Alpine sometimes.
@@DaveOutdoors I was working down there (chipping Norton) a few weeks back! Fantastic place 👍
@@flakey66 know it well, I was there about 4 months in a Premier Inn
hi Dave, where did you buy the windows and can you give me the brand, thank you?
Hi they're trade glass UK and also the rubber U trim that you asked for comes as part of the kit. Apologies for late response. No doubt you're sorted now though 👌
