  • Recorded at 60 beats per minute (bpm), a tempo associated with resting heart rate & elevated states of consciousness. Use to regulate breath and movement during tai chi, yoga, or meditation practice. Use in busy city environments to create coherence and smooth out the sounds of background noise.
    Album Description
    Designed Using Principles of Classical Chinese Medicine and Musical Physiology, the first half of this album models the process of listening deeply, clarifying what's most important, committing to that and building momentum towards achieving it. The second half models the qualities of perseverance and refinement - essential for maintaining momentum when you feel like getting off the horse.
    All music is recorded at 432.1 Hertz, a frequency associated with the Earth's natural vibration, considered to have greater health effects than music recorded at the standard pitch of 440 Hz.

    Extended Album & Track Description
    In Chinese Medical language, this album works with the lung to generate energy, the liver to generate motivation & direction, the heart to empower clarity & commitment.
    Track List
    1. Space - Promotes meditation & breathing, guides the body to calmly build energy for future endeavors. In Key, it corresponds to the Metal element (金), associated with the Chinese Medicine (CM) lungs, emotion of grief & process of letting go, color white, balance, selflessness, pungent-flavor foods like radish or cumin. The function of the lungs includes bringing in, building & distributing energy evenly throughout the body. This piece works specifically to nourish the substance of the lung. In CM language it, “nourishes Lung Yin.”
    2. Nourishing - Water element music that promotes spaciousness and grounding. Specifically uses tones & techniques that stimulate the Kidneys to gently gather and build energy. Connecting with a deep & clear space, deep inspiration & desires can arise. In order to build momentum, it helps to have something valuable to commit to!
    3. Clarity. Associated with the Element of Fire, this piece uses tones to resonate & open the heart. Ascending movements bring inspiration (Wood energy) up from the depths and descending tones to stimulate their expression.
    4. Initiating. After choosing a target, you must plan how to get there. This piece helps generate motivation & thinking processes required to move you towards your goal. Uses wood tones to stimulate the Liver - responsible in CM for planning processes, smoothing the flow of energy in the body, & generating motivation. In CM terminology, this piece Nourishes Wood & Liver Yin.
    5. Committing. After inspiration rises (in the form of plan or otherwise), we must commit to it with devotion. Commitment & devotion are associated with the heart & the element of Fire. This piece continues to open the heart & brings inspiration (wood energy) up for transformation & expression.
    6. Persistence. Now that we’ve committed to our aims, we must persist to the end, becoming like water & flowing fluidly around the rocks that pop up on the way to our goal. This piece, associated with the energy of metal has descending tones that stimulate expression and continually bring us back to our commitments.
    7. Precision. Now that we have rhythm, let’s make things better - more precise, more rhythmic, more in tune with our highest self. This is a time of high energy, when we must keep focused on the finish line. Associated with metal, this piece stimulates the fine-tuning process necessary to establish something with precision (whether this is the execution of a habit in proper timing, boundaries in a particular relationship, or something else). Corresponds to the time-keeping aspect of the lung in Chinese medicine.
    8. Integration. We’ve achieved our goal. Let’s reflect on & celebrate our achievements. What went well & what we can do better next time? Let’s consider what we want to keep, and what we want to let go of. Containing all the 5 energies (wood, fire, earth, metal, water), this piece is more balanced, stimulating integration of all we have experienced, as well as a return to the spacious state from which this whole process began.
    9. Starting Over. Initiating (1). Now that we’ve renewed our inspiration & developed a new plan, let’s begin again! As we move forward, let’s be careful to maintain our gains from the last cycle and not let them slip through the cracks. This piece uses rising tones & the liver note to stimulate wood energy & the motivation to begin again!

      Thank you Rodrigo! I am thrilled the poem speaks to you. It was the result of years of learning Chinese, copying famous poems in Chinese calligraphy, and then, finally - writing my own!
      It fit the theme of this album, so I included it.
      Cheers, to a fulfilling year, filled with the embodiment of spiritual dreams!

      Glad you read the description! Yes, its quite unique in so many ways, and it also shares many truths with other wisdom traditions as well! I think it's still working today as it explains almost everything there is to know in a way that is both accurate (and over time) simple (as much as it can be anyways . . . ))) 🙏

    This shit sounds way to sad and depressing

    • @wholeBody
      @wholeBody  3 роки тому +8

      Yes, the first song goes with the Metal Energy, which in Chinese Medicine is associated with grief and sadness; though here the focus is on generating "lung qi," enhancing breathing, energy and openness for inspiration to come in; so if you are experiencing sadness as a result of listening; you can always stop listening if too intense; or you can try noticing the sadness and breathing through it;
      often times it is stuck emotion; un-felt and/or un-expressed; that get in the way of our achievements; and that end up creating illness inside of us;
      the ancient Chinese realized this (along with many modern and ancient traditions), and recognized that the greatest physicians always worked with the emotional aspect of the human being.
      So it would be quite natural to feel sad/experience sadness during the first song;
      though not sure if this was the case for you; and/or it just sounds sad?
      Thanks for your comment; hope you have a great day;
      More questions or observations; please share!
      best,
      motoyuki

      @@johncooper9727 Thanks for your comments, including the earlier one on the music helping chill the nervous system (which I no longer see anymore). I am happy you are able to tune up to the nuances of the music and that it is helpful; yes, understanding physiology (mental, emotional, physical, environmental) and how to influence/connect to that with music can be quite powerful, especially to the receptive listener, such as yourself . . . I hope that you enjoy this year to come!
