Love your videos! And, really appreciate the subtitles showing the fish length and lures being used. I don't kayak fish, but have a small boat. However, I learn a great deal by watching your videos, which is why I watch fishing videos. Thanks for the insight and play-by-play of how you are fishing!
I fish the suskie quite a bit...this girl figured that river out better than most people and she did it damn quick. She NAILED some common mistake that people make on that river. Everyone goes to the ledges, etc. Shes absolutely right about bigger solitary fish getting away and c ruising the shallows. They can be impossible to catch if the water ia super low , but if you hit it right....omg. Heaven.
Love watching your recaps! I feel like it’s classroom time for me and I try to absorb every detail you share. 🤩 Congratulations! You are on a roll and I’m so excited for you! Keep that momentum going girl! 👊🏼
Thank you, thank you, thank you. 1. For being so open about the struggle yet overcoming. 2. Your details of what you used and how you broke things down. 3. For representing women anglers with skill and passion. From Women Anglers of MN. Congrats 👏
Watching someone fish and talk and enjoy your home fishery is amazing. Loved the "literally a mile wide" comment I had to chuckle as it's a local saying "Mile wide knee deep" 😂
I grew up fishing this river and the smallmouth were so fun. I loved their aerial action. Although everyone talks about small mouth, one afternoon with a buddy, after landing a stringer of small mouth, I tied into something else. I was unable to move the contact for so long that my buddy was laughing that I had snagged on the bottom. After 15 minutes or so I began to notice the line was moving slowing across the current and I was making some headway 😅. I got within 8 feet of me and rolled and ran back to open water! My heart raced as I figured no one would believe my “fisherman’s story” if I lost it. I finally landed it and it was a very large walleye pike. Needless to say, my buddy’s laughing stopped. You are a terrific angler. 😊
Glad to see you come to our neck of the woods and see what great smallmouth bass fishing is all about. I've been fishing that river all my life and it never gets old. Tight lines.
Loved the competitor in you!that river is visually spectacular.felt like there was history on those waters and lands.great job adjusting and going for the win
Ms. Fischer, I almost held my breath till the end. During the recap you were so happy I said she won! If you can beat Ike you can beat the rest. Granted he was in a Yak, it’s still a boat - impressive. Good luck at the next stop on your journey.
LOVE this! Especially since I live on the Susquehanna! Also awesome to see women in the sport!! Come back to PA and try fishing the smallies on the Juniata River! Great fishing here in PA!
Congrats on being in the money. Glad I stumbled on your video. Had to watch for two reasons. 1. I love kayak fishing. 2. The Susquehanna is a very special river to Mohawks and all of the Iroquois tribes. Great job!!!
Nice. 14 miles is a lot of fishing on a kayak. Kristine, I love watching you catch fish on that Kayak. You are all over the place. Falling back, going up front. You move around in that yak like you were sitting on a couch. Just shows how comfortable you are there. Nice work figuring that out. Results tell the tale.

Good morning Fisherman.😊 Your fishing was very good, you caught beautiful Fish, congratulations your Fishing equipment is incredible.👍🎣🐟😉
Awesome love your tournament video’s. Pretty cool to fish against a pro and beat him. But I wouldn’t expect any less from one of the best kayak anglers in the country! Congrats Kristine!
"They're jumpin everywhere" The bass were either after emerging insects or adults on the surface. We have many fantastic hatches on the Susquehanna. Right now on the North Branch the White Flies are out and it's a blizzard of insects in the evening. A big smallie on a fly rod is an experience, especially caught on a dry fly.
Great video and recap. Congrats on the great second day and high finish. I love a good buzzbait bite for river smallies. Good luck in the next tournament.
Awesome Susquehanna River video. Truly enjoyed watching it. Looked like my fun fishing days- unfortunately the big ones never enter the kayak during river tournaments.
Lake of The Woods in June was the best small mouth fishing I've ever experienced... caught em until we were literally exhausted.... congrats on beating Ike
Only the Upper Potomac River can compare to the Susquehanna River, I caught my biggest Smallie while fishing above high island in a grass & gravel bar on a G Finnish Ghost Big O, but if I were going for bites? 1/4 oz brown/tan/green jig & a chartreuse or brown 101 uncle josh craw pork rind kicks ass! With a double silver Colorado blades and a black shirt! Throwing everything up current working it down into the fish not from behind! The Harrisburg part of the River is very productive! But need to keep an eye for rocks! But that's a great river fishery! The Blue Room Bar in town is great place for a beer & chow!
Just got my first kayak. Water still frozen here. Can't wait to get out and set my hook like you do. Only I think I'm going in the drink a couple times. Great videos.
So much respect for you, you deserve 100k+ subscribers. I've shared a few of your videos. Keep it up! Cant wait until bass tourney season is over to see you getting muskie and other fish. Cheers!
Super impressive finish! I smoked a boulder with my drive in the Juniata on Saturday morning and called it. Honestly I’m just as impressed with you folks in the top 10 who were able to navigate it as well as you did
Kristine Fischer certainly a learning curve for me. Pre-fishing in the rain the topwater was firing on all cylinders before that mud. Had zero idea the most efficient way was to float. Didn’t have the nuts to float without a plan on where you end or a ride back like you though! Haha congrats
On the west side of Pennsylvania is the Allegheny River. Fish the Allegheny north of all the locks in jet boat territory. It’s beautiful and the smallies get big
I just started following you. I am learning alot from your videos, especially your hook sets. I love how you break down your planning for each day. What length rods do you use?
Recent sub but have watch a lot of your video's. Fishermen/women fish and catch a few, then their are anglers that use knowledge to consistently catch fish, you young lady are a true ANGLER.
Great video. That's my home turf. But I now live in Washington State. Columbia river where I live is stupid with smallmouth. Makes me wanna do a tournament. Thank you!
Grats on your Lake Hartwell win wish you did a video on it. When i seen you had no go pros going i was a little disappointing. But maybe you will share how you broke down my area some other time. Also i charge one cup of coffee for parking fee shot of cream and two shots of maple syrup. Love you videos keep up the great work!!
Congratulations Christine! I have watched your videos for over a year. How can a person not believe in your abilities? BTW.... Musky are still biting in the WV tributaries. Just have to find the right water conditions.... I won't go into that. For the last month it has been on fire. A lot of mid 30's to 43 inch ones. Best has been three 47's.
@@kristinefischer2289 Ever think of one day going over to do tournament bass fishing in a boat? I had 2 Hobies and then got into Musky & no way I am as brave as you to cast or land 1 in a yak.

Thanks for the awesome video, and great job in the tourney! You said Sunbury to Harrisburg was eligible. I grew up in Duncannon and now live/paddle/fish in Marysville (literally right where your drone took that beautiful footage of the Rockville Bridge). What stretch of water were you in primarily?
I agree with you Susquehanna river has some big smallmouth someone I know actually got the PA state record smallmouth for his age group and my other friend has also caught some huge smallmouth out of there
Hello kristine, if you ever come back east, try black lake in new York. Underrated smallmouth lake. Then try candlewood lake in Connecticut ( another awesome smallmouth lake)..congrats on cashing in the tourney.
Great learning video Kristine. And a terrific job on a tough River. Just curious I know you use st. Croix Rods I do as well and I was just curious what you use for spinning reel. Personally I use pflueger presidents and people laugh at me sometimes because of that and because those spinning reels are less than $100 but they work very very well.
Love the video! Congrats on your check!I'm thinking of fishing the susquehanna, looking at the Sunbury section, were you near Sunbury or closer to the Harrisburg side? The flow of the section you're on looks exactly like what I'm looking for!
Cool footage I grew up on that river fish the north branch of the susquehanna Next time fishing that stained water black and yellow skirt or purple and chartreuse with double gold willow blades or painted white and chartreuse willow blades war eagle spinnerbaits have the white and chartreuse blades
Congratulations on your finish. I started fishing that river this year and it can be difficult to figure out. It was very impressive what you did in a few days. What’s your favorite buzz bait?
