So much to take in that you need to watch it, put into practice what you learned and then repeat. Watching this will take away many of the fears you might have when you launch your first flight.
Whoa. This is literally the best how-to video of any kind that I can ever remember watching on UA-cam. Just got a DJI Mavic Air 2 for Christmas, which is awesome but comes with essentially zero documentation out of the box. It points you at online docs, which are all slow-moving corporate sanitized docs and I’ll be here until next week reading those. Using those, took me several minutes just to find out how to charge the battery. This video jumps right into EVERYTHING you need to know, beautifully and efficiently edited, with no fluff. So much work went into this video. Dude, you are awesome. I just subscribed. Your generosity in sharing comprehensive info in an efficient and professional way is so appreciated. You made my day.

@@moahmedhashim9881 - Hi there Mohamed. I have to say, the drone has changed my life. For the better. I love to climb the mountains and shoot some footage on a nice day. Then add some music and upload to UA-cam. I get lots of nice comments. I love it. No lying in bed at weekends any more for me. Great for my fitness and mental wellbeing. This was my first ever drone. First time I've even seen one. I needed a new phone though to fly it. My 4 year old phone wouldn't install the software. However, very easy to fly. Even for a first timer like me. As the weeks go by, your techniques get better and better. I ordered a high powered PC for editing. You can get them from Banggood for about 220 English Pounds. I also ordered another battery. Two is better than one, but not essential. I already had a huge 4k TV, so that wasn't a problem. The footage on a large 4K tv is breath-taking. I'm still learning. And still loving it. If you are thinking of getting one... Get it. I'm not exaggerating when I say it has changed my life. Hope that answers your question! :-)

I got my first drone ever (mavic mini) and I started my drone "journey" with you! Thanks for that! Now, I purchased the Air 2 and I still feel that your advice on how to take maximum out of this drone it's a MUST! Please suggest what is the best setup /way to use the Air 2 in order to get amazing results for both, video/photos . Hopefully you gonna have the time to do this. 🤞
Excellent summary video! Thanks. Two things I noticed regarding the gimbal: First, there’s a very easy-to-miss piece of tape behind the gimbal; don’t forget to remove that one! Second, *don’t even power up the drone* , let alone fly it, without removing the gimbal guard. It does a power-on self-test that involves moving the gimbal, and the guard freezes the gimbal in place. Haven’t had a chance to fly my Zoom yet (work!), but I’ll get even this weekend!

If you're a beginner pilot, orientation is important because if the drone is facing me with the camera, every joystick movement is reversed. Suggest emphasis on that the drone's tail must ideally face the pilot so the control would work the way it should be. Learned about this from flying rc helicopters and fixed wing aircrafts. There is only one vlogger from NYC who devoted about this topic of flight orientation which to a newbie may prevent crashes or accidents.
Just got a Mavic Air 2 after crashing my new Mini 2. (One 15min flight) So I'm heartbroken but determine to master this Mavic (out in the country this time). I was way too eager to fly without knowing the basics first. "Return to Home" was my downfall. It decided to return to home taking the quickest route (through a tree) I need to learn this feature by flying higher then just straight down. For me, I'm 67 years old and my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. I'm also quite deaf so I had to use subtitles and you were going way to fast for me. I need to watch an old guy explain the basics. But I do agree 100% of flying in a completely open field in order to experience all the controls. Thank you!
Getting more and more excited creating drone footage. Thanks to people like you Jeven that take the time to put this great tutorial together. Really helpful!!

Thanks for this Jeven. I watched your similar beginners guide for the Spark a couple of years ago and it set me up for two great years of flying. Just taken delivery of my MA2, so yours was the first tutorial video I looked for. Still love my Spark, but excited to see how this upgrade plays out over the next couple of years 🤘

This video has been very helpful. I bought this unit today. I have to say that some of my screens and settings were a little different from what this video shows. I take it that Mavic has had a couple software updates since this video was released. Tomorrow will be my first flight. Gonna practice takeoffs and landings, just like I used to do when I worked on my Private Pilot's License. I also discovered that I'm near a no-flight zone, airport, so I'm alerted every so often to aircraft flying by. I can open up that little map (lower left corner), and actually watch the aircraft (simulated). Very cool unit! Worth every penny!
This is such a fantastic video, thank you for making and sharing it! I'm literally receiving my Mavic Air 2 'Fly More' bundle tomorrow, and I'm so excited that I'm staying up late to watch this video and mentally prep for this new experience. Speaking as someone who's never owned / flown a 'serious' drone before, your video is tremendously helpful. Thank you - I'm a new subscriber, and I look forward to exploring the rest of your content!

Im a keen amateur photographer looking to buy my first drone and I stumbled on this video. Absolutely fantastic, thank you. Well presented, factual and easily understood information.
I really enjoyed this video. I plan on purchasing dji mavic 2 as my son in law just bought one. Looks like fun and I plan on taking lots of pics... Retired 16 months ago. So I have time to practice and go film epic scenery.
Thanks. You just convinced me as I am not a photographer that this is the best upgrade from the Spark that would let me learn more photography with the increase flight time at a reasonable price.
Man you are doing us all a huge favour.... you are inspiring a whole new generation to create content...which indirectly is promoting tourism and a whole lot of things...Love from India...
Excellent speed course. One point of controversy. Everyone seems to have a definite fps recommendation. Some say always use 24 fps. Most often 30 fps. You say 60 fps because you can slow down with a smoother look. Using manual exposure can be a problem during the golden hour when light changes rapidly. But a very well presented video without too much "flash."
My boy and I have just opened up our new DJI Aircraft and love the fact that you have walked us through setting it up. Superb presentation. We have immediately subscribed.
Awesome tutorial man. Your mavic 2 pro tutorial I watched 2 years ago was my favorite, and it is no surprise that the mavic air 2 is the best one out there that I found.
Hello from DFW.. Got my first drone and chose a DJI Mavic Air 2S.. Really looking forward to learning the specifics on handling the unit. I am a retired Professional Photographer so I will be activating all my Adobe accounts again to put out some good images and vids.. But thanks for the tutorial. Easy to follow and understand.. Superb..
I do video production for a living. Trying out the drone thing for the first time as mainly a hobby but also something I can provide for a client every now and then. Just purchased my first drove(Mavic Air2) and I think it's the perfect drone to fit my needs. Great hobby drone with good enough features to use professionally every now and then. This video you put together gave me much more confidence. My drone is coming today and after watching your video, I'm confident in going out and trying it for the first time. Very well done!

Thank you Jeven for your incredibly detailed presentation... You're an amazing instructor! Hoping to get my husband this drone, I've saved your videos as our ‘Go To’ guides. God Bless!
I just bought the Mini 2 based solely on this excellent review.
You've got yourself a new subscriber!
Excellent work. I wish there were more reviews like this for everything else.
I dont understand emergency mode. When both sticks are down how does the drone know its a emergency to stop all props?
Single best reviewer of drones+ I have watched. Great synopsis and a brilliant educator for drone flyers new or old. Nice job man.
I wouldn’t remove the gimbal sticker . It offers extra protection for the gimbal
Thank you. Very good instruction for people who just starting fly drone! After watching this video, I'm not afraid to crash the drone!
It looks like you will get a multi million views on this one just like the mavic air.
Its got the momentum to be a big video. This topic and style of video does so well for my channel.
@@JevenDovey for sure it will become as viral as the air. I watched that video twice. I learned so much from it. I crashed my mavic air in Kuala Lumpur but I was able to get back from someone's roof.
i had ordered my mavic air 2 and stumbled upon your channel, i learned all i needed to fly. Thank you for the video i went from novice to intermediate in 36 mins and 59 sec. Subscribed first few mins of the video
My first drone, the Mavic Air 2 is under the Christmas tree.
Me too! 😉
I just bought mine for my birthday which happens to be around christmas, so happy birthday to me 😂
Me too! Let me know how it goes right!!
@@christianespinoza851 Ive watched every video 10 times.. if you got the fly more combo don't forget to charge each battery individually before putting it on the triple charger. LOL Just 3 days left.
Just picked up the mavic air 2 today for my Christmas/Birthday. First drone super excited and nervous
I didn't even get my drone yet but i now feel much less apprehensive -
This is the most comprehensive how to video i've ever seen on UA-cam for anything
and the subscribe is already in....
Thanks very much.....
I came here with drone questions, left with shipping container pool questions... 😆
lol SAME!
Excellent video!! Thank you for not wasting my time with a bunch of wasted words about things not relevant to what you stated the video is about. Refreshing to see.
Who else flipped out when he changed his hat direction 😂
Why ? I didn't noticed that at all :-D
There are some videos on yt that I really wish I could like twice. This is one. Thanks, you just gave me a great look at the features and options on the Mavic Air 2...
I hope this drone dont fly away like my gf did
You know what they say, set your your drone free and if it doesn’t come back it was never meant to be
First Drone - Mavic Air 2 - Super excited to get in the air - but watching LOTS of videos before I get going... your video - presentation, style and content detail are AWESOME! Thanks for such good info!
THANK - - - - - - YOU!!!! The drone comes without a MANUAL! and you are absolutely excellent at this! You are awesome.
Whenever I get a new drone the first thing I do is to turn to JD for the 411. Thanks so much. You are a 100% positive resource 👍🏾👍🏾
I was looking for a good tutorial on the Mavic 2. After finding your tutorial I did not have to look any further. By far the best, hands down.
Thanks. You just convinced me as I am not a photographer that this is the best upgrade from the Spark that would let me learn more photography with the increase flight time at a reasonable price.
Glad I could help!
Man you are doing us all a huge favour.... you are inspiring a whole new generation to create content...which indirectly is promoting tourism and a whole lot of things...Love from India...
Awesome! Thanks dude. I watched this several times while the batteries were charging. Very well done.
Mate this is a great video. Very informative and comprehensive. No filler, just fast flowing facts. Well done.
I like haw you are very in depth. Note on the compass calibration, do the calibration away from any metal objects.
A very thorough organized tutorial. Thanks so much
Excellent speed course.
THANKS! YOU EXPLAIN EVERYTHING IN A VERY CLEAR WAY. ALL I NEED TO KNOW TO GET READY TO FLY MY FIRST DRONE. GREAT VIDEO!
Best mavic air 2 introduction on the net. Well done mate. Cheers
One of the best beginners guide I've seen in a while, thanks so much for sharing. Now, time to go play with my new drone! *excited* :)
As a new owner of this drone, I found this video incredibly helpful! Thank you for sharing your insight
Superb..
And he shows us where they hide the 3rd cable that seems missing from the box - Bravo!
I just picked up a second hand mavic air 2. Thanks for your video. It was really helpful and I'm sure I'll be back to watch it again many times! 👍
I've never flown a drone before, but I'm thinking about getting a Mavic Air 2, this video was SO helpful!
Dovey,
Did you know that in your past life you were a middle school teacher? Yes! You were one (very few) whose students gave an appreciation party at the end of the school year! Great video, I like that that you didn't ASSUME folks already knew this section or that section. You just explained from A-Z. You deserve more than a 1st day apple... +++!
Probably the single most informative Mavic Air 2 videos I’ve seen. You kept it simple and put your end consumer’s needs ahead of a specific timeline or agenda. Thank you!
