What do you do with lens hoods, especially in bright light?

I have 77mm hoods that screw on to the rings when I need a sun hood

How are these for wider lens say 20 and 28mm, I have fallen in love with my two Voigtlander lens hoods that came with metal lens caps and was hoping to get matching for my other lenses

I've used mine on a 12-100 mft lens and it's perfect at wide end, no vignette
