Thank you, Jordan. Always a professional and the how to”s along with the reviews are second to none. Keep up the great work my friend!
Thanks for making this video. I finally know what some of these other funtions/features of my mixer do.
Always wanted to know, thank you!
Great video. I always wondered about that
Jordan, you're too incredible, because even the official MG10XU manual doesn't mention that the foot switch needs to be pressed twice! I was wondering if something was wrong with my foot switch, but now I know that it's not effective.
Jordan. I have the Mackie ProFX10v3 mixer. I'm running a bass guitar through it. I was wondering if there is a way to control the selection of the fx engine. In other words a way to change from reverb to chorus?
Not with the footswitch
Hey Jordan, I was wondering if a compressor or pre amp would work the same as the footswitch in this scenario?
I can't think of any way that a preamp or compressor would work the same as the footswitch. What are you trying to do?
@@kettnercreative I guess I was looking to be able to have an effects send and return. Didn’t know if this could be doubled as a return.
I use roland Dp 10 piano sustain pedal. Just press one only and its work
7 months .. you probably know the answer by now. But essentially, yes. However, you would need to press the switch twice fully down to ensure the signal was complete (the Roland sustain is not just on/off, right? It has a linear pot, no? .. anyway) and then hold it down as it is not a switch, per se. It is a simple button that doesn't remain 'switched' when depressed.
A pedal better suited to this task, ie the one he uses in the video or pretty much any guitar amp footswitch would do nicely.
The reason the logic needs two full pressings to switch the effects loop on via pedal is to minimise an accidental touch. Your Roland pedal would seemingly fly in the face of this logic. Plus it might be annoying after a while and you will soon find out why you might want a better, more dedicated and built for purpose switch.
All the best 🙂
Pressing twice could be to do with being latching or non-latching.
Could be!
