I played AAU ball for Todd ….Dude was a real competitor…. Idk if yall know back in 2009-2010 high school coaches use to try in put you in a box 6’5 or better … I got with Todd he help build my confidence though the roof…. He use to always say “You not at your High school when you play for me you hoop” as a young boy we all took that and ran with it… His Stepdad is a coaching legend in Memphis…. His son and him coach in college together living a good life
That’s dope. I remember when I was a young man… Vegas vs Arkansas. The Amoeba Defense vs 40 Minutes of Hell. Todd Day was one of the few cats that wasn’t scared of Vegas. I thought he was going to kill in the nba. From your report, I’m glad he is doing well👈🏿🫡💯
I thought MayDay was going to wreck havoc in the league when the Bucks signed him and Lee Mayberry. Just goes to show that the NBA is a whole other beast.
Fr mane. They were buzzing in the M. Fun fact. My partner was really hating on dude because some chic he liked was jockin dude. I used to clown his ass. 😂
The players didn't have that MUCH clout as they do Right NOW, so if you talked TOO MUCH s*** that the coach DIDN'T LIKE back in those days, you could get banished from the league REAL easy!
I played against Mayberry in high school. Our teams were in the same conference and Mayberry's team (Tulsa Rogers) would go one to beat us in the 5A Oklahoma State Semi Finals (51-49). Although booting us, I was still a Fan of Mayberry. I thought the May-Day combo was going to shred the NBA as well, like they was doing for the Razorback's. Both of these guys were nice on the court.
40 minutes of hell….wow, the memories. Nolan Richardson had those young men ready to go every game. Some of those Memphis State/Arkansas Razorbacks games back in the day were epic. Nice video ✌🏾
This is dope. I always wondered what happened to Day. Hey have you done Travis Best? Would he qualify? I think I remember a story of him scoring 80+ points in high school once. I’ve always been a fan of GAtech point guards and I expected a lot more from him.
Thank you I have been asking for a Todd Day video for a long time. I thought he was gonna set the NBA on fire. Been a fan of his since his Arkansas days in my opinion going to the bucks was a major setback in his career
you make sense and no disrespect but i did do and will EQUALLY SOMEWHAT like cambridge high and the knicks ALMOST as much as power memorial high ucla and the bucks because i did do and will really LOVE star patrick ewing ALMOST as much as legend kareem abdul-jabbar
Use to come to school hollering 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝘿𝙖𝙮! 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝘿𝙖𝙮! In the 𝘽𝙄𝙂 "𝙊" (Osceola High) also reppin Oliver Miller. After the Razorbacks won. That was the Arkansas team that was supposed to win the state it's first championship! That team was actually better than the 94 team but so was the competition. That team ranked up with the best UNLV, Michigan, Duke, Kentucky, N. Carolina, etc. Stayed in the top 10, more so top 5 with a few #1 ranks in the country. Lee Mayberry played in Milwaukee too. If I'm not mistaking he has a few 40 + pt games.
What about Jonathon Simmons? Had a good run with the Spurs and looked like he had some great potential. Then had a couple stints with the sixers and magic afterwards, and then out the league playing overseas now. What happened?
This might be a hot take, but maybe Devante Graham could be a stunted growth, or is having his growth stunted! He was hooping for charlotte before he got traded. Maybe I’m reaching cause my name Devante too lol
In the same day I got videos on Keith Van Horn and Todd Day. That’s good Basketball. On a separate note, I’m just sayin we never seen Todd Day and Todd 1 on the same scene at the same time. (Yeah we old na so 🤷🏾♂️)
The fact this video never said the phrase "MAY-DAY" tells me it wasnt very well researched. Especically since Lee Mayberry wasnt only his college teammate thru that great run, but was also drafted in 1st round by Milwaukee as well.
Seems he caught a couple raw deals Pat Riley basically chasing out the door with a bat, and being taken out before breaking a record held by Bird, solely because it was taboo to go try and outdo the Almighty great one. 😅
Todd Day was that dude back in the day at Hamilton High School, my old High School was a rival back in the day (Southside High School) that rivalry was one of the best Games in Memphis
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. I remember in the summer of 1994, Terry Porter thought that he was going to get traded to Milwaukee, his hometown. Well, with Portland needing a young scoring shooting guard, I really wanted the Blazers to get Todd Day! IF I heard correctly, in 1996-97, Todd Day "rolled his eyes" when Pat Riley took him out of a game. The next day, during practice, Pat Riley called everybody over, and said, "Todd, you have been waived!"
I've lost a lot respect for Pat Riley after hearing how he treated Todd Day. Riley knew no one was gonna call him out on his BS in a group setting. Typical corporate BS!
Todd was a good player and that was it he never lived up to his pick in the draft teams always thought he would get to the next step in be a special player but he never broke through and giving Pat freaking Riley ultimatums was not a good idea.
He’s from my hometown - homie had a bad attitude coming up . My pops used to tell me stories of how back in high school ppl used to say “It’s a New Day” whenever he touched the court. Shit clearly went to bro head.
Hard to tell from that anecdote with Miami, but do you suppose Riles brought Day in specifically to dismiss him in a grand, theatrical gesture? Like, to make an example of him? To demonstrate to the team that anybody could get cut at the drop of a hat? He was only there for preseason and a few weeks of the regular season, and shot about 40% by that point, so he wasn’t likely to beat Voshon Lenard or Majerle for playing time. Meanwhile Riley made his bones in LA so he knew the power of showmanship. Just sayin. 😁
I remember when Day was here in Milwaukee. He never missed a night out at the clubs-or the ladies that went with them. Lazy, would be an understatement. He didn't try very hard to get better and was reluctant to put on some weight. A terrible waste of potential.
MAYDAY AND OLIVER MILLER were nice holding down NOLAN RICHARDSON!!!!!!! If TODD DAY was born later he would have played in the league for 16 years. The good ol days.
Todd Was A Legend In The 90's He Average 50+ points in those Bluff City Classic Summer Games In Memphis. He Murdered Shaq LSU & Larry Johnson UNLV In College.
at 8:34 please tell me in real life did the real pat riley smoke AT ALL i didn't don't and won't have anything AT ALL against smoking but it should NOT be done indoors UNLESS it's a place like a low bob's tobacco and i am were and/or PROBABLY will be a WEEKLY cigar smoker
Dont forget....Vin Baker came in the next year, then Big Dog Glen Robinson after that. Bakers quick development as the 2nd option after Robinson affected Day's role and expectations for him on the team dwindled. They could have had a nice "BIG 3" if the Bucks didn't give up on Day.🧐
Very few minorities have that Judith Resnik pit bull attitude. Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan had it. She divorced her mom because she was dating a Lebanese-Irish guy. But in Arkansas, having that attitude will make you lose your scholarship unless you’re a legacy player. Todd did good.
You should do a Jay Edwards video! He was a troubled star at Indiana, super talented but never seemed to live up to his potential. Another great one would be Labradford Smith out of Louisville! Another “the next Jordan” type player. How about a two piece out of UCLA, Toby Bailey and Charles O’Bannon
Can do you a video on Rodney McCrae? When he got to the Bulls, he totally lost his confidence and there was rumors Jordan ran him out the league. He was a force with the Rockets, Kings, and Mavs tho.
I've been in Memphis all my life 63yrs old and can say this he was one of the best to come out of Memphis ever his stepfather wanted coach Larry finch job ❤❤❤❤😂
I always give my thanks and gratitude to God and thank him for always being there for me and giving me the strength and confidence also strength to overcome any doubt and fear that be trying to come my way. Lord I will trust you with all my heart .
Another good one as always 💯

I remember when I was a young man…
Vegas vs Arkansas.
The Amoeba Defense vs 40 Minutes of Hell.
Todd Day was one of the few cats that wasn’t scared of Vegas.
I thought he was going to kill in the nba.
From your report, I’m glad he is doing well👈🏿🫡💯
yezsuh mane, todd good people mane
That’s dope. I was a big fan of his when he was at Arkansas. One of my favorite college teams of all time. Glad he is doing well.
No Cap Detected:That's Definitely Him
I thought MayDay was going to wreck havoc in the league when the Bucks signed him and Lee Mayberry. Just goes to show that the NBA is a whole other beast.

⚰️ 😅@@ghost5207
Great video. I remember him and Lee Mayberry was giving folks the business in college. Next Sherman Douglas.
The General.👍🏾
MayDay was a solid backcourt
Facts
Need to do one on Georgetown point guard Charles smith aka SMITTY drafted by the Celtics or his brother curt trouble smith dc legends
Oliver Miller was on that team too. One of Arkansas best.
I love watching old highlights of those early 90s Arkansas teams. I watch that 1991 (2)Arkansas vs (1)UNLV game on UA-cam regularly. 😅
Same I watch that and Loyola Marymount vs UnLV and vs Michigan
40 minutes of hell….wow, the memories. Nolan Richardson had those young men ready to go every game. Some of those Memphis State/Arkansas Razorbacks games back in the day were epic. Nice video ✌🏾
Love it
That 92 draft class was good but left a lot to be desired. Day is one of those examples. Not sure I’d call him a bust but underachieving for sure.
Eric Murdock Lee Mayberry and Todd Day all slept on
No they not Herb Kohl should took hometown Sprewell over Day but dam for sure over Mayberry
No they're not, they weren't good enough to be great in the nba.
This is dope. I always wondered what happened to Day. Hey have you done Travis Best? Would he qualify? I think I remember a story of him scoring 80+ points in high school once. I’ve always been a fan of GAtech point guards and I expected a lot more from him.
He did him already.👍🏾
@@buzzerbeater3350 thanks!

Thank you I have been asking for a Todd Day video for a long time. I thought he was gonna set the NBA on fire. Been a fan of his since his Arkansas days in my opinion going to the bucks was a major setback in his career
I always remember Todd Day from NBA Jam
Same.
I remember him from nba jam, tecmo basketball and live 95
Exactly 💯
Todd Day, Tony Dumas, Richard Dumas, three victims of the 1990s
90s had some serious talent
please tell me the details
He was solid for the Bucks. I seen him have a few good games against my Knicks while being with the Bucks.
you make sense and no disrespect but i did do and will EQUALLY SOMEWHAT like cambridge high and the knicks ALMOST as much as power memorial high ucla and the bucks because i did do and will really LOVE star patrick ewing ALMOST as much as legend kareem abdul-jabbar

Arkansas boy!!!
I believe I was the first one to ask for this thank you my guy keep em coming
He got took out a game to keep bird record is crazy
Bruh, people in Boston called him "Larry Legend". The coach don't want that kind of smoke.😂
What about Jonathon Simmons? Had a good run with the Spurs and looked like he had some great potential. Then had a couple stints with the sixers and magic afterwards, and then out the league playing overseas now. What happened?
Heck yeah
This might be a hot take, but maybe Devante Graham could be a stunted growth, or is having his growth stunted! He was hooping for charlotte before he got traded. Maybe I’m reaching cause my name Devante too lol
He's a good one.
In the same day I got videos on Keith Van Horn and Todd Day. That’s good Basketball. On a separate note, I’m just sayin we never seen Todd Day and Todd 1 on the same scene at the same time. (Yeah we old na so 🤷🏾♂️)
Todd was a bucket in college .. I definitely thought he’d do better.
This channel is very underrated. Great video. Keep up the great work 🔥
Todd Day was on of my favorite players growing up, he would really do well in today's NBA, he was a bucket.
The fact this video never said the phrase "MAY-DAY" tells me it wasnt very well researched.
Especically since Lee Mayberry wasnt only his college teammate thru that great run, but was also drafted in 1st round by Milwaukee as well.
Man, those Arkansas squads were tough! I still think Scotty Thurman should have been in the league! They robbed him and the NBA.
Seems he caught a couple raw deals Pat Riley basically chasing out the door with a bat, and being taken out before breaking a record held by Bird, solely because it was taboo to go try and outdo the Almighty great one. 😅
Memphis Tennessee’s finest!
Pat Reilly is trash, I'm so glad MJ exposed him for the punk he really was....
Only 8 seasons that’s a solid career but I understand as a 10 top ten pick a lot more is inspected and invested
He was the 8th pick.
The average carrier of an nba player is 4 years
MAY-DAY
Mayberry and Todd Day in college and then they both got drafted to Milwaukee too.
Todd All Day was that deal for Arkansas
I remember Larry Bird saying Todd Day didn’t learn the play book .
Todd Day was that dude back in the day at Hamilton High School, my old High School was a rival back in the day (Southside High School) that rivalry was one of the best Games in Memphis
next video.. Lee Mayberry.... no way you can mentioned Todd Day without talking about Lee Mayberry..
I only remember this dude from NBA Jam.
Memphis Legend
Sounds like black balled, thanx to Riley
He had improved as a scorer every year. He had Improved as a scorer every year.
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. Dang Riles didn’t play back then or now 😄
They're being polite when they call it "Heat Culture."
I've lost a lot respect for Pat Riley after hearing how he treated Todd Day. Riley knew no one was gonna call him out on his BS in a group setting. Typical corporate BS!
ML Carr was a house ninja if there ever was one. Smh.
Marcus Hatten! (St. John’s)
Thanks for finally doing a vid on him. Always wondered what happened to him. Enjoyed his in college and in the league
Todd was a good player and that was it he never lived up to his pick in the draft teams always thought he would get to the next step in be a special player but he never broke through and giving Pat freaking Riley ultimatums was not a good idea.
@stuntedgrowth: have you done Richard Dumas??
Dumas was on drugs I think!
TODD DAY NATURAL STATE OFFICIAL 👑💯🔥
He’s from my hometown - homie had a bad attitude coming up . My pops used to tell me stories of how back in high school ppl used to say “It’s a New Day” whenever he touched the court. Shit clearly went to bro head.

We need one on Lamond murray
Thx for the video. Speaking of Arkansas, could you do one on Corliss “Big Nasty” Williamson. Thx!
I remember when Day was here in Milwaukee. He never missed a night out at the clubs-or the ladies that went with them. Lazy, would be an understatement. He didn't try very hard to get better and was reluctant to put on some weight. A terrible waste of potential.
Seems to be all the other stuff that stunts their growth the most, not the basketball stuff. Time spent there, is time NOT spent getting better.
Do Terrence Williams, Earl Clark, Russ Smith, Peyton Siva, Wayne Blackshear all from Louisville
He Murdered Shaq LSU & Larry Johnson UNLV In College.
i've got nothing against todd day and pat riley but QUITE FRANKLY TRUTH be KNOWN the VICTIM was todd day

I always give my thanks and gratitude to God and thank him for always being there for me and giving me the strength and confidence also strength to overcome any doubt and fear that be trying to come my way. Lord I will trust you with all my heart .
T D Memphis legend and good golfer
Tood Day and Lee Mayberry were the first dudes I saw do a Hop Step/Jump Stop in a game..
this guy played for Nolan Richardson at Arkansas and couldnt play defense?
Todd Day is an Arkansas legend. He'll never have to buy his own meal in Fayetteville.
I must correct that he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks. LOL
That coach was a real b1tch for taking him out of the game when he was gonna break Larry’s birds record
Great video as always! Could you do one on Teddy Dupay? That dude was lights out
Why back then dudes 28 30 years old look way older back then
He was a great High School and Collegiate player. He had decent NBA career.
The guy at the end really dunking on 8 foot goal but when he shot it was on 10?! Desperate
Def was not a specialist at anything. He was a low budget all arounder.
M. L. Carr did Todd dirty taking him out of the game to save Bird's record.
Yup. He wasn’t good at anything in particular on the court. Too inconsistent too.
I remember him, definitely had potential, just never lived up to the hype.
Salute!🫡
He was giving people like Penny 50 pieces at the Shelby Classic
I remember Todd Day 😡 He gave my LSU tigers the business.
Am I missing something or did Patt cut him behind his own ego ? I could be missing something
He was a very good player that really was a guy who was a tweener. Not a great guard or small forward. Great athlete though
Y'all know who recruited and coached Riley in college right?
Did Todd Day play with Lee Mayberry at Arkansas?
Today we talk about Todd Day
From Memphis Tennessee
Now do James Hollywood Robinson from Alabama. There was a legendary battle between him and this dude!! It was EPIC!!!
Attitude..........attitude ...........to whom much is given etc etcetc
how about Roddy Beaubois
He couldn't put it on the deck very, but boy could he shoot.
This guy was garbage on the court and off!
Todd only one year older than Penny so how was he Penny before Penny?
If you can play you don't get kicked out the league
Todd Day was that guy back in college
S\O patt Riley lmaooooo. Todd you sucked
He also did EDDIE JONES bad, not cool
I grew up patterning my game off of TD....
Wow I'm about 6 years older than him but I never heard of him before today ever!
Cause you don’t know basketball! How you never heard of Todd Day?
Tweener. Limited range. Great amateur player.
Wow the mighty Todd Day ..Mayday was that tandem
