Hey Jason, thanks for the kinds words about my horn. Just a couple of things about that horn. That is a prototype compact trumpet with HG valves and a Kanstul made bell that uses the same full horn tuning slide like the original Pujé (Pudgy) design. It’s also an early build as you can tell by the serial number. I could tell you what the original price was if you are really interested. Just to set the record straight, my current base models are $1850 and hand-built in the US by me using HG valves made to my specs. My horns using custom valves by Getzen are still only in the $2200-$3200 range. Finally, just the other day I saw a picture of the Nouveau trumpet you made for Cindy Bradley and I still think that stylistically it is the most sophisticated horn ever built.

@@harrelsontrumpets Thanks, Jason. I have all the business I need to be happy. If you ever get in a Pujé as a trade, feel free to reach out and I’ll give you all the information I can on the particular horn.

I got to noodle on an original Puje made by Bobby deNicola when I was in college. Fantastic instruments. Good response, tone was flexible yet consistent, and intonation was great. What struck me was the thumb saddle did not adjust the 1st valve slide, but actually adjusted the entire horn.
The guy offered to sell it to me, but I was too stuck on wanting a (quote) "traditional brass band" cornet that I passed it up. Ah, youth...
