it's crazy how literally all of the korn tracks from this album have stood the test of time unlike many of the other genres of metal. my personal favorite subgenre is sludge metal but unlike nu metal i feel that it has truly struggled to stay enticing through the years.
I think “sludge metal” has the same built in problem as a lot of metal subgenres…you can only do so much with it before people say it’s not sludge metal anymore it’s something else.

Real shame Korn doesn't make music like this anymore. They're extremely talented and I've been a fan since fairly early in their careers, but I just can't get into the music they make now
