I have a similar situation. I bought an 87 as a parts truck for $250, which had been sitting for 18 years. Changed the coil wire, topped off fluid, cleaned the carb, and put a battery in it, and it started right up! Crazy some of the stories I see with these old dodges.
It really is wild. I don’t know what to do, I’m still so torn. I have a genuine parts truck with a 318 that’ll probably run I can swap into my other truck. This one would be ideal for winter driving here in Texas. Just don’t know.
That old Dodge turned out real good ! Thanks for saving it , you’ve got a good solid machine there . Thanks for the video , it was good and interesting.
free you lucky sob ive been wanting a 1st gen for years that was my first car 89 dodge ramcharger best vehicle ive ever owned 540k when sold fired right up and drove away
Found a four-door mid to early 80s dodge pick up in the bush in Marysville Tennessee. Don’t know how far you are. Let me know if you want the location.

The added spring is actually genius...it was put there to keep the choke closed to prevent trash from getting into the engine...

I’m in Texas but always ready for a gamble! Happen to snap any pics?
I would actually keep it and get a title on it and just drive it
Get a title for it and keep it it's too good for a part's truck
You the luckiest fool I know! Let's be honest even if u had a new oil drain seal you wouldn't put it on hahaha, was fun to help resurrect the ol goat.
Just seen my credit of metal wizard and facial hair consultant 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

WOW how many days does it take for you to change a fuel pump
36.7 days.
I will take it! Just give me a call.
If it doesn't have a title seems like it be almost impossible to get one. So maybe better as parts.
Yep. She’s gonna be apart of a “new years resolution” vid. Gonna finally yank the motor out.
