Murdered girl's mother lays her grief out during slayers' sentencing

- Brenlee Ortiz, mother of Brexialee Torres-Ortiz who was slain January 16, 2023, broke down several times recounting the moments that led to her death and the void left behind for her and her family Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Onondaga County Court in Syracuse, New York during the sentencing of her killers Deckyse Bridges and Rasean Patterson. Both got 25 years to life for the fatal shooting as she was walking back home with a gallon of milk from the store.
The mom made me so emotional just hearing her pain lord please give her peace

That kid had to kill on his juvenile furlough? He's at minimum, a lost cause in his youthful years. Realistically, these guys shouldn't be considered for parole at 40 years of age, really needs to be 60 at earliest.

In prison, showing remorse gets you killed, extorted, beaten to the point that you wish you died but are still alive...etc. They have to prepare themselves mentally for what is about to their new reality.

I don’t why these people cry during these victim statement’s. Hasn’t the criminal taken enough from you? They didn’t care then and they don’t care now. F them don’t shown them your pain.
