I've always told my friends about this, but they would never listen to me. I'm glad someone else in the world appreciates Zell's awesome potential as much as I do.
Some say it's Selphie because of her The End. But Zell would still be better since his limit break is more consistent, even without 255 luck to get 9999 dmg.
Total exact damage done overall: 1,231,624 HP worth. This is what makes Zell such a dominating character - and also the cheapest; but to argue that, it takes a great deal of skill to memorize the button combos to pull this off. Yes, I did calculate it all with a calculator. What can I say ... I was bored and curious.
snkhuong Now he has 51 likes, If you kept up with Nintendo and Square news, FF7, FF9, FF10, 10-2, FF12, FF15 pocket edition, Crystal Chronicles and World of Final Fantasy Maxima are all being released on Switch. While FF8 gets shafted yet again......
Some people obviously didnt play ff8. You can have max stats. Its called junction where uou equip spells to increase your stats. Also all the enemies are scale with you.
Everyone acts like that's a huge flaw in Final Fantasy VIII, but i had serious trouble going through this game during my first run through it. Reviews of this game seem to think first time players are going to play through it at a high level.
Reiden Lightman Low or high level this game is super simple. My first time through I was level 60 before I left balamb. Not to mention I was 12 at the time, and this game still maintained being the easiest ff I played by far. Even now after having played them all.
@@CJHElectro FF6 and FF7 are way more broken with each battle literally being auto pilot and being able to accidentally break them. FF8 at least requires effort to break. FF6, I just need to mention Edgar and Strago plus Palidor/Quetzalli, Genji Glove+Master Scroll+Quick+2 Ragnaroks or Ultima Weapons=16 Hits not counting the Flares from the Ragnaroks which is more than 1 Omnislash and you can SPAM it and the games practically HAND you these combos and your mad at FF8 for being able to get good abilities and magic and essentially overlevel?! (This is coming from a guy who has maxed out everyone in those 3 I mentioned and gotten nearly everything and know and have used nearly every busted strat in said games!)
This is the second most broken limit break in the game, and the most powerful limit break in the Final Fantasy series because of awesome people like you. Not even the maximum amount of hits (All breaking the damage limit and doing 99,999) from Wakka's attack reels can even compare to this.
It is believed by most that it has a "stacking" function. If one's hp is low and aura is cast, not only does it improve chances of limit break appearing, but it also helps the best conditions appear more frequently (Lionheart finisher, 12 seconds duel, longest shot time, The End/Wall/Rapture/Full Cure appearances, Shooting Star/Invincible Moon, etc etc.) so some people use aura even when it is not necessary. I myself have found aura + low hp to mean best luck in limit breaks for FF VIII
@putahan2001 "Armageddon Fist" is the (very common) name given to that combo for Zell's ultimate incarnation of his Duel limit break. It's so named because of the simplicity of the button combinations and, therefore, the incredible speed they can be pressed. Imagine getting a move off every 0.1 seconds. Armageddon Fist has been properly named.
it's really impressive he's executed some moves in .05 seconds. ive never done it quite that fast, but then again it could be because im using a ps controller. that being said, it looks legit. he flubbed some combos that costed him .2 seconds.
@coolguy02536 if i'm not mistaken the limit break powers up if the char is in critical state. i don't think status effects affect it's efficacy. so like this one, lower amount of hp results in longer time. i think its the same for irvine
Omg they put the music back on. I swear YEARS ago this was my favorite video and I couldn't find the song. I finally found it because someone replied and then the song was gone. Every now and then I'd come back to watch to see if the song was put back on. love this song.
@UlrichStern1000 No hacks required. Bosses in this game do not give EXP, only AP. EXP from random battles can be avoided by running away, equipping encounter-none, or using abilities such as Card rather than killing. This game is actually much easier if you don't level up because the enemies level with you and gain more per level than you do (unless you have all of the stat-up abilities equipped, which requires obtaining these at low level anyways.)
@ajirasama It's not cheating. Stats are completely dependent on the magic you have for junctioning. FFVIII is almost an anti-RPG in a sense that the higher level you are, the stronger the enemies will be.
@KeybladeHaven While Omega Weapons level is always shown as Lv. 100 in the PS1 version, his Health, Attack, Defense, Speed, Etc all change as your characters level up
if i dont remember wrongly, there's some kind of pattern to what will show up next, so just keep practicing i think it's possible to better this score, nice vid!
@StarryMessenger89 Well the head is the one that performs most attacks in the battle. The body is also getting himself punched in the face so would logically demand the head to help him.
The reason Zell was able to do 9999 damage or near it every hit is because Zell's strength was maxed out and because he used Meltdown. Meltdown puts an enemies defense down to 0. So that guarantees you will do max damage. I often defeat Omega for fun but I had no idea that Meltdown worked on him. Now I have yet another way to demolish him. Hehehe.
@XxDarkPheonixLordxX There are several ways. 1 - Run away from battles 2 - Card opponents to gain AP, but not EXP 3 - Use break to gain AP, but not EXP (Use this option against enemies which can't be carded like soldiers)
if i dont remember wrongly, there's some kind of pattern to what will show up next,... this guy been using up down, and left right, so just keep practicing i think it's possible to better this score, nice vid!
This is why Ultimecia wants to control or kompressed time, since Zell has inhuman potential to decimate bosses in few seconds. Longest 12 seconds ever.
@AsheAFK yeah agreed this person made it possible to make it over a million. i remember a decade ago doing this and the highest i got was between 500,000-750,000 hp.
Zell is truly the most rigged and most awesome FF character. I dont think any FF characters can dish 1 million damage in 12 seconds or hit as fast as Zell does =D Go the Armageddon Fist!
If you hook up this game to a computer that plays it for you and is able to press buttons every 0.01 seconds, you could theoretically hit 12 million damage
This is actually very easy to do. Just hold your fingers on 3 different buttons and alternate very quickly when prompted. I figured out the same thing while fighting Ultimecia lol
@BARRERA2U Ok, thanks for the info. How did I get them? 1 I played on the GBA and PSP, 2 I played on the GBA, 3 I played on the DS and an NES ROM, and 4 I played on the DS, while I played 5 and 6 on a GBA ROM. 7 I'm beginning on a ROM. I'm technically still playing 4 and 5 to master the jobs, and get all the rare items. Yes, I have all onion equipment in 3.
It's actually very possible to input attacks in several hundredths of a second; I was doing it on the PS1 with an original controller: no analog. With good twitch reflex, the general speed of the inputs can get below .1 for each attack, making for stupidly good chains. It's not like it makes Duel any more broken than it already is. Anyone who plays fighting games gets a free pass.
The first time I tried Armageddon Fist was when I unlocked Eden for the first time. It was pretty intense, but worth it. I switched between Punch Rush and Booyah.
Except the power of monsters are directly related to Squall's level, you don't get experience when you're dead, and you can still junction 100 of one spell to your stats for a ridiculous buff. You get the weapon and stat boosts while your enemies stay ridiculously weak. I'm pretty sure this is the only game in history where leveling up is actually a detriment after a certain point.
You know you have watched some serious anime or at least just InuYasha when you hear the music and think "Man why does this sound familiar?" And then Tomiko Van starts singing and you immediately pick up that the song is DAI. Great song choice

@proppanonstoppa He is 8 by running away from all battle/ carding enemies/ petrifying them plus boss fight dont give Exp. In Final Fantasy 8 monsters level up alongside your characters, so if your party is all level 100, the monsters you fight will be level 100 too becoming much MUCH stronger, but if you leave your party at low level and take advantage of the junctioning system, the game becomes 10 times easier
@Anifan333 FFVIII is dependent on junctions not leveling. It's known as the most broken FF since you can be uber powerful by never leveling up by manipulating the modding and card systems and keeping enemies at their absolute lowest while you upgrade or max stats. You only get exp in random encounters so as long as you avoid those you're good, plus there's a few times where a temp party member can level so your party doesn't as well as ap gaining ways to level up GFs and their abilities no exp
You can buy statboosting items. Well, not exactly. You can buy the requisite items from pet shop once you have tonberry+familiar, and you can refine that into boosting items for HP/STR/MAG/VIT/..etc.
@thomasy2j 10,000-9,500 damage per attack, multiplied by 125 attacks (you can count them yourself like I did), equals 1,250,000 damage (roughly a million).
12 seconds for Zell, an eternity of agony for Omega Weapon

the damage isnt the amazing part
ITS THE FACT THAT HE DID ALL THAT IN JUST A 12 SECOND LIMIT

Omega Id easy with ps1. just open the disc cover and browse through selphie's limit breaks until the end comes then close the disc cover lol
