I listen to this over and over, sooo good. I heard Frampton doing the voice box when I was younger. It was the novelty of it then. Now it's totally about the music. Richie is def the best.

The one and only, Richie Sambora, the great voice, the best guitar and backing vocals ever in rock history, the great song writer, the biggest solos and so strong playing live. This is the man I have followed since I was a boy. Always knew he was a a huge part of the best band ever. So underrated but always my favorite, cheers to Richie.

I’m an 80’s kid but I was never very much into Bon Jovi at the time. I liked harder stuff like Iron Maiden, Armored Saint, Fates Warning etc. But in later years I have really come to respect this guy and his musicianship tremendously. I never realized what a phenomenal guitar player he was really because the spotlight was far bigger on Jon Bon Jovi. But what a beast of a musician Richie is. Wow.

Just a bit of trivia here: This is the same studio where Steppenwolf recorded Born to be Wild. The organ was still in one of the rooms. Also, I took this little video off a Nikon Camera... switched over to Video. Totally spur of the moment type thing. And Richie was so gracious and so professional. What a great guy. He came in on his only day off in 3 months to do this for us.
The song kicks butt and Richie's guitar & talk box made it all that much better. Thanks for watching... BQ

Even when Richie stops to do it again, he sounded perfect the first time. Yet when I heard the finished product, I wish this was more pronounced. Song is great though, H and E sound(s) great.

Richie got alot of talk box inspiration from the early days when bon jovi supported the scorpions.

This is pretty cool! But for all you saying Bon Jovi needs him, yeah not really, for the original band yes but bloody hell Phil X has done one of the best fill jobs of all time. Give him some credit! He lightened the band up again, he made them and everyone seem un sure. it built suspense which you need in a band from time to time especially as Bon Jovi gets into their final years but he came through It would be nice to see Richie back but I think Phil X has given them their spark back again, especially live! But what do I know.....
Richie has nothing to do with Phill.They are completely diferent.I give credit to Phil , but BJ need him.Chorus,feeling and presence has not the same flavour than with Richie.
Well i guess i have never seen them with Richie so i can't say, but to me there wasn't anything lacking, but yeah he wasn't on the last tour so can't do anything about it now :)

Phil X was probably the best choice that could have been made. They didn't need to be bringing in a big name that's for sure, and Phil does lend that lighter side as mentioned and is capable from the virtuosity standpoint. The only thing about the whole situation is we have a band that's pretty much reached where they are 'because' of Sambora, Jon & boys are great talents but it's almost like a Zeppelin without Page kind of proposition. Without that "Jon & Ritchie" presence it's simply nothing but some sort of a novelty, really. There's no more problem with the band actually staying big, their position is established, and the biggest part of the songwriting collaboration is behind them..but it's still, again, a matter of that presence.
