Sadly Richie started boozing again once he left Bon Jovi about a year after this and has been kind of a mess since. I hope he gets the help he needs cause he’s always been one of my biggest inspirations as a guitarist.

well basically he was asked if it was true he was once auditioned for Kiss, and Richie said he did auditioned for Kiss but he didn't like the idea they they wanted him to be just a hired guitar player wearing some stupid make up and having no hand in song writing,,he understood he would be just a puppet in silly make up and clothing..and Richie said he grew up admiring songwriters like Clapton, Hendrix, Beatles, Bob Dylan,Led Zeppelin and there was no way he wanted from that point on to be in a band like Kiss which is miles away from these songwriters and bands, because what i understand from Sambora's explaining is that Kiss was always really although a famous band but a silly band, their songs and quality of palying are basically nothing to compare with bands and artists he loved from childhood..

It's not classic rock by any means. He went to an INDIE label for this, you have to realise that at least. The Circle was a great album and contained a number of excellent rock songs on it and Lost Highway was something entirely different and I didn't rate that one much either, even though I grew to like it. I don't hate this new album, but it will never be fantastic.
Man have you heard The Circle or Lost Highway. Compare them to this and you will see that The aftermath has more rock songs and its way better. And it wont no. 1 just because Jon is not it, and this suck.
Richie is great, but as a Jovi, a Sambora fan and a classic rock fan, I have to say I really don't rate his new album. I actually feel kind of let down he didn't include at least one classic rock type song for his original fanbase.
