Thanks for sharing your experience. I don’t live far from Woodbridge Nj where Richie grew up. I’m a Nj native. Richies always been my favorite guitarist. Hands down. I just feel bad for his drinking issues and know the loss of his dad was extremely hard on him. If there’s any chance you can message me and let me know if you can get me a signed photo from Richie that would be great. God Bless you and thanks again for this great post. 😊
I don't even listen to anything Bon Jovi put out after he left. I always give it one try and immediately don't want to hear it again. It's not the same without him. I'm not a rabid Richie fan, but I know when something isn't as good as it was when he was there. It's like he put in the heart and soul of the music. He must have contributed more than anyone realized back in the day.
I've been listening to their first album a lot lately. He was very aggressive on those songs. The solo for Get Ready and Shot through the Heart were awesome.
Wow, that already motivated me to play. I hope I will meet RS someday, because he is my biggest guitar inspiration. Nice video dude! Keep it up, greetings from Poland
I remember years ago we went to see Bon Jovi at Hull in England. We went to the gate on our tickets to queu up and there were only 6 people in front of us. There had been a huge storm the noght before so the stage hadnt been built overnight. They were building it as we sat in the queue. But because of this someone decided we werent allowed to queue where we were told. They tried to move us into another queue that had hundreds of people in it. Then someone decided it would be unfair to make us join this longer queue so they would let us wait where we were. This was right next to where they were taking the set into the stadium. There were forklifts taking the lighting and all sorts of stuff in. One of the forklifts came along carrying a big crate. Someone shouted the driver to go for a break, so he dropped the load and off he went. Half an hour later a guy who i recognised from photos as Richies guitar tech came over and opened the crate. It was full of Richies guitars. And they had just abandoned it and gone for some food. I always joke with my sister about how I couldve stolen the guitars and had the concert cancelled
Hello I’m 52 years old and have been in a wheelchair all my life and the past 15 years I’ve been using an electric wheelchair and I had bought a Fender Sonoran Mini acoustic guitar about a year ago and have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar but shortly after buying it It’s been just sitting on the guitar stand in my bedroom because I can’t figure out how to hold it properly or comfortably so I can lean it. If you can help and give me some tips and pointers i would appreciate it greatly because i really want to learn how to play it. Thanks in advance
Getting comfortable holding it is part of it, but also being able to play with ease. Try putting lighter strings on it to make the strings easier to press down, and start with simple one string Melodie’s. Hope this helps a little!
Richie is one of the best things that has happened to music in years, and I don't mean playing guitar only, his vocals are 10/10.
Thanks man, loved it ❤

I would give anything to shake his or Jon's hand, to be honest ...
